Start by banging on the computer, I'm not kidding either. Those years suck for ECM issues, I think its in the passenger side kick panel. If it isn't there its down behind the passenger headlight. Aside from cleaning carbon build-up off the IAC an throttle body, idle air control valves don't usually go bad. Possible MAF but thats hard to condemn without putting a new one on or watching it with a scan tool to see if its out of range, assuming it has a MAF I think the 3.3 did.

So are you too much like your best friend when you both have Silverados, f-bodies, a two seat roadster 4cylinder 5 speed handling car, and motorcycles? Sounds like its time to get rid of it. Possible oil pump, but those were bad about having the timing chain tensioners go bad. If it makes noise when the oil light comes on you are in for some costly repairs, and those old quad 4 will not tolerate much. Good luck finding a decent used engine most end up in junk yards because they blow up.

I have driven a Soltise GXP with the GMPP stage 1 and it didn't have NLS or LC, I'm not sure if they had on the last couple years but I can tell you for sure on 07-08 that it didn't have it. I would be curious to know if this is something that can be made active with aftermarket tuning.

Yes to those of you who know me this is the car I bought back in october, I love the car but have bought another one. It's a Mariner Blue 1991 Miata, this has the vicous diff, long nose 1.6L engine (not the short nose that had issue). Aside from some rust (which is not structural) it is in good working order, since I bought I put a new clutch and flywheel in it, and replaced the calipers, pads, and rotors. I have put 6-7k miles on it and changed the oil twice. Currently has 145k miles. I have been driving it a lot without issue. I just don't want to have 4 cars to care for. I'm going to ask $2000obo because thats what I have in it, I'll gladly entertain any reasonable offer. I recently bought snow tires on steelies for it so they are brand new, but the original wheels will come with the car they have good tread on them as well. What the car needs is the suspension bushings replaced, none of them are falling out but the eccentrics to adjust the alignment are frozen in them and they are 20 years old. I always make a half dozen stops from about 40-10 in order to heat cycle the brakes. This is what I do on every car I work on, the point is not to overheat the brakes just to get to get them hot. It doesn't have to be really hard braking, just use them enough to get them hot.
