  1. Happy Birthday to you sir.
  2. Car looked good, for not having a hood anyway. Glad to see it going again, looking forward to seeing what it'll do.
  3. Last night was cool, happy birthday mang.
  4. So I found some mysterious tranny fluid inder the car a few days ago, and since I've been driving it without 2nd gear (fuck it) I drove it to work today. Got it up on the rack, and it would seem that since the torque arm mount and trans mount are wet and the tail seal and pan aren't, I guess the tail housing might just be cracked. Pinion seal is dumping gear oil. Fuck this car, I'm getting tired of this shit. /rant, back to penny pinching, side work anyone?
  5. I made it a little late, but enjoyed getting some car talk in. Glad this is still going on.
  6. Cordell

    I'm 23 today.

    Lol, yeah Happy birthday.
  7. I have been looking at that, but I'd rather just buy the case.
  8. How do you suppose we should modify the bellhousing? It's my understanding that 5 of the 7 bolts line up.
  9. and if you couldn't tell the engine is running great right now. triple FTMFW!
  10. Now back on topic, I think I'm going to put a th400 in place of my failing 4l60e, and just go farther down the "my car is more of a race car" road. Seeing as how this winter I think a 9" is in the cards.
  11. Yeah spoke too soon, tranny isn't right. I would like to thank the people who made this car happen, Gearhead obviously he helped a lot, but Chad (starkmaster03) helped a ton to get the car ready, he gave me the keys to his truck to drive to PA and get the block, gave me his truck again to haul my shit to Gearheadz, and helped on various of steps in the assembly. Those of you that hung out while I worked on stuff made the project that much more enjoyable, so to Rob, Chad, Anthony, Wagner, Craig, and whoever else I'm missing thank you. Now my wife gets her own paragraph, she made everything happen. Everything costs money and without her I'd have none, you guys want to know why her car has 1SGRMOM for a liscence plate? It's in my garage. I love her more then the car, even though sometimes it's hard to tell. So why do I post shit like this? Because I'm a very greatfull, and thankful person to be surrounded by great people. This is the part of my life I want people to hear about, not just all the bullshit that goes on.
  12. Rob knows as much or more about LS engines as anyone else I've talked to. He was a big help in me getting my car back together, not only did he make space for this to happen, he helped out on the things I was questionable on. Car went together and fired up first try, haven't found any leaks or anything. Now most of you know I take most of the credit for my car, but Rob made everything much easier. Just wanted to make my thanks public.
  13. One of my Dad's friends works for brown transmission in Newark. He'll put together anything I want. He doesn't specialize in performance, but he has been doing trannys forever and knows what he's doing. The tranny in my Camaro held up to all the abuse I could throw at it last year, but there towards the end after running some bigger shots of nitrous it didn't feel as crisp, I guess it really was starting to go.
  14. Next year, when I've got the nitrous sytem together, and 9" under the back, yeah I'll let em hang.
  15. Yeah but I'll like pulling the wheels next year

    This Weekend

+1 This is a great place, no one around, and free food FTW!
  17. I don't know why so many people bash it, mine's been doing great for over 2 years.
  18. This is why they recommend you use teflon paste.
  19. I'll let you know if I'm going since the car won't be making it. I haven't decided if I want to make the drive yet.
  20. If you'd have waited until I got there you'd have gotten it cheaper. If I'm "dum" you must have the IQ of a rock, dumbass.
  21. Congats on getting this far, I'll give you some more props in a couple days when you get to drive it. I did get mine running first, but I found other weak links, hopefully that doesn't happen to you. BTW I'm off work thursday if you want a hand, hit me up.
  22. Wheels look way better in person then in your washed out pics.
  23. Tires crack from dry rot, defect, or just pain old junk. I don't trust cracks, how many tire caps do you see laying along side the road? They aren't all from big trucks.
  24. I've gotten a voltage drop trying to datalog with the gauge hooked up, so I unhook it. I'm just too lazy to reprogram the other output.
  25. I have someone I trust to build the tranny, I just wish I'd have had more money the last time it was out, then maybe I wouldn't be dealing with this. Yeah tell me about it, I'm thinking of going the th-400 route. Fuck it, bet it won't break. Old school FTW!
