  1. That sucks, because it sounds like you're SOL. I'll bet you could get a rebuild kit for the solenoid. I guess you could always call NX.
  2. If it's leaking from a crack, I'd be replacing that before it cracks more and shreds. I wouldn't risk it. Just an FYI, if you patch a speed rated tire technically it reduces it's speed rating.

  4. Thats just not nice. Although I've told him the same thing, I look forward to seeing this project come together. The V6 was cool but a 10 sec gutted V6 car with a transplant will be way cooler.

    So aside from being sunburnt, the show was great and everything worked out. I look forward to having some more. You guys did a great job, and if you consider your budget and experience with car shows I'd say it was awesome.

  10. Rutan and I have gone over the tune, there are a few other things I want to try before I condemn this tranny. However it was working with the trans tuned this way last year, idk it's worth trying. A big thanks to Rutan for the friendly advice, we'll just have to see what happens.

  17. Thank you, but thats not it. I'm leaning towards a burnt band, my tranny guy said that if it was the tune not holding enough pressure and it slipped, it may have burnt it anyway.
  18. Well John pointed out something that I had obviously overlooked and it shouldn't have been the way I had it, but that wasn't it. Back to the old drawing board.

  23. Well after some big and small hurdles to work through over the past 6 months my car is up and running. Everything from figuring out what to build, to getting it together has been quite the experience. The last week has been very exciting and full of let downs at the same time. I got the engine out okay, and when i was doing final prep on the new one the oil pump didn't fit. Then after putting it all together it fired right up. Only to chase my tail getting the fueling ironed out. Now that I replaced a bad O2, and got the fueling extremly close for a SD car the fucking tranny won't shift. I just got off the phone with my tranny guy and we think it may have burnt a band. Granted the tranny had about as hard of a life since it's rebuild as I could throw at it. I would love to find something with the tune, but I doubt it at this point. So much fun and fucking headache my car can be. cliffs: My car is being a PITA and I'm whining about it.
  24. Well after replacing the car's O2 sensor that was in the same bank as the wideband, and correcting my fucked up VE table, the car's fueling is all ironed out (part throttle and idle anyways). Now does anybody have any ideas on why this fucking thing won't shift? Let me clarify, it shifts just really late or not at all. The couple WOT attempts I've made it just bounces off the rev limiter, so I brought the shift points way down (from 6000 to 4000) and it still bounces off the rev limiter. I'm starting to think the tranny just won't hold it. I hadn't changed anything tranny cal from last year and had no issues last year, but that was last year. Now if I lock it in 3rd it pulls like a madman, but anyway I have only done this a half a dozen times seeing as how it still doesn't have many miles on it. This just seems like more then a cal problem, but I am open to suggestions.
