No, but we took care of Casey.
It just worked out today, that I didn't get much else to work on and got it together. Went pretty smooth. Car does sound wicked.
I have seen this before so it's something to consider. This is where having a dial indicator and actually checking it will save you a lot of guessing and time.
I don't beleive so, if you can it sure isn't well known. A pocket scanner is typically wel under $100 and will read codes on about anything so you may consider picking one up.
If it only shakes under braking something is obviously related to the brake components or what they are mounted to. Drums do get out of round, and by applying the e-brake you've proved that they are out of round. If that's not you're only issue, and you've replaced fronts already it's likely a hub issue. Either it's corroded and not sitting flat or it's warped.
All you need is one strand of wire for a multimeter to test wires to be good. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it was in that harness, I would've done it while it was apart too.
Well those codes mean low or no frequency getting back to the PCM. So either there is a poor connection/wiring issue or the sensors are bad. Improper installation (ie over or under torqued) (15 foot pounds) can cause the codes, or if they were dropped prior to install.
This is one of those things that really can't be diagnosed over the internet.
The releif valve sticks, it can be intermittant and not even do it consistantly. The pump design hasn't really changed since the LS1 came out so nobody, other then maybe some engineer at GM, can tell you why the LS3s seem to have more of the issue.
Just recently did one on an LS3 Camaro, it sucks to do. Other tech in the shop just did one on an LS3 Corvette. I'm still at the dealer if you want another option. Sucks to hear, but at least you made it home.
Got to sit and enjoy dinner on the patio, was all finished and paid just hanging out when it started raining. Drove home in the rain, at least part of the evening wasn't spoiled by weather.
Weather looking questionable (I hate how it's nice until I get off work, grrr), but I want to go to QS&L if it isn't raining. Pretty sure SOnic is shut down. I made a thread Paul sheesh
I'm sure Nick isn't going to post this since he wants to go to Pacemakers, but a few friends and I are still going to this. Come on and hang out anyway.
The cruise-ins are tonight at QSL 7pm. Figure it might just be nice enough to sit on the patio. Beautiful weather tonight. Everyone is welcome as always. See you guys there!
It is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles.
I am not a fan, I've seen it done without issue, I've also seen it done with broken wheel studs.
You can take your chances, but I'm not going to be the person who says it's a cool thing to do.
Planning on a wideband, and getting the Maf close even though that's more time consuming then a dyno. What kind of timing do these like on the conservative side?
As long as the engine doesn't make noise like it really doesn't have oil pressure, it's fine. The sensor is much more common then actually loosing oil pressure, so long as you're confident that you aren't having a real oil issue then it'll be fine.
