  1. SEXY looking track bike! Love Elka, personally i think they are the best shocks on the market.

I've heard good and bad things about them. I'm really looking forward to trying them out.

Looked at the pictures closer - how did the swing-arm get scuffed on both sides?

    Boot wear made the scuffs?

Yep, the scuffs are from the previous owner's boots.

  2. Nice looker...ZX6R? Are those wheels orange?

Thank you.  It is an 09 ZX6R.  The wheels are painted orange now but I am thinking about having them powder coated later on.  The paint has seen better days.

I'm not sure that bike is safe to ride.

You should let me ride it just to make sure!!! :)

Sounds good to me.  It will be nice to see it ridden properly for a change.

  3. I purchased this bike a few months back and made a few small changes.  I sent the suspension to Thermosman, put an auto tuner on it, put a quick shifter on it, new chain and sprockets, recovered the seat, added tank sliders, and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.  I can't wait to try her out at Barber in two weeks.

  4. I'm trying to make this same decision. Likely going to be running warmers this year, but for those instances where I might not get them on in time in the morning, or get stuck waiting on the grid for a little while, I think the Superbike Pros might be better. Spending $400 on tires every 2-3 track days might be hard to stomach too...

Lowcel, how do they compare to the Q3s? Is the grip increase significant?

I do notice a difference and technically the Pro's don't need warmers.  I'm sure that true race tires would be an improvement but I am not to that point yet.

  5. Jeff and Ron, save room for a 3some......Jeff, Now you can't hide behind that HP....LOL

Bruce, Did you get a cheater bike or a 1000cc so I can't hang with ya anymore...???

Just another 600.  The one on the left is my new track bike.  The one on the right is my street bike.
