I've set aside TWO whole days. Prolly one for street and one for ADV and then flip a coin to decide for Saturday.

Brian - which week days are you likely to be there?

I have reservations in the Micro, Arrive Mon. Depart Sat. or earlier on the V-Strom so any style of riding is good for me.

I am waiting for weather forecast. I have a brother visiting Sat. Afternoon on his way to AZ. and we are riding to Slade, KY. Sunday AM.

Guys, if you attend, please look me up.

I'll be helping, but don't have to do the cookout this year - since we aren't having one.

BTW I've grown a beard. Guess I should update my icon.

    Chris

Are you going to be available to ride Mon-Fri on your NEW bike during the weekdays of the event?

    I have. I prefer 377, however.

I know, I have followed you a few time on 337 and you always have a big smile when you get to Chesterhill village.😀

    and..... that's a good thing.

  4. Durk,

Question from the back of class, corner seat by the window. Have you ever continued west on 78 to 555 at Ringgold and road the new paved section of 555 to Chesterhill? it adds 12min/6miles from your normal route turn at 78/377.

  5. ADV Ride this Sunday, (1 Aug) from Laurelville, OH.  Village Cafe, meet for B-Fest at 9am and topped off ready to ride NLT 10am.
This will take in some of the dirty stuff we all have done in the area, roads with names like Election, Sams creek, Pleasant ridge, Pole ridge down to Hamden, Lake hope-Hock Hills and return. You know the drill. all welcome.

This route I created back in 2014 from the Baby Burr and Hanging Rock stuff so we may have some rode close / reroutes/ back tracks.
Even thou I am starting to develop a "Biden" memory thing I kinda know my way around these parts. We shall see.

We took 22 out Somerset to 664 south. Took that to Big pine road just south of Logan. This dumped us onto 374 to 180 into laurelville. Took 327 south out of town to 671 to 50 west back to 327 to 788 into Jackson. Had lunch there at Bob Evans. Took 124 out of town to wilkesville to 160 to 689 to 32 east to 143 to 50 west to 356 north (this road is covered with tar snakes) to 56 to 278 into Nelsonville. We took 33 west and @FatWilbursplit and took 93 back north. Overall the raids were great and a lot of fun. Really nice to ride done new roads for a change of pace.

Shhhh! Keep "Big Pine" on the down low. Nothing to see here just stay on the numbered roads.😋

  9. History Lesson!

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel.

Beer required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.

Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting

around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery.

    That's how villages were formed.

The wheel was invented to get man to the beer and vice versa. These two were the foundation of modern civilization

and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

    1. Liberals.
    2. Conservatives.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer.

This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were less skilled at hunting (called 'vegetarians’

which was an early human word meaning 'bad hunter’) learned to live off the

Conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hairdressing.

This was the beginning of the liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men “evolved” into women. Others became known as girlie-men.

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy,

group hugs, chardonnay wine, and the concept of democratic voting to decide how to

divide the meat and beer that Conservatives provided.

Over the years Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest,

most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant.

Liberals are symbolized by the jackass, for obvious reasons .

Modern Liberals like special-flavored beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine spritzers

or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu,

and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: many liberal women

have higher testosterone levels than their men.

Most college professors, social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, film makers in Hollywood,

group therapists and community organizers are liberals. Liberals meddled in our national pastime, baseball,

and invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink real beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women.

Conservatives are members of the military, big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks,

construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives,

athletes, airline pilots, and generally anyone who works productively.

Conservatives who own companies hire other Conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do

with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans.

That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when Conservatives were coming to America.

They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get something for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history. It should be noted that a liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to this post.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history

that it will be shared immediately to other true believers and to just piss-off more liberals.

And there you have it. Let your next action reveal your true self, I'm going to grab a few beers and grill some steaks!

Right after I forward this message.
