Hi. Been running dunlop q3's for a while now. Instead of getting them again (for the third time this year, I'm only getting 3k out of them) I am looking for a similar performance alternative that lasts longer. I used to run michelin 2ct's but I didn't get too much more out of them than I do the dunlops. An I personally prefer the dunlops. Much more comfortable profile to me. Looking to do some longer rides on these tires, Carolina's etc, but I am NOT willing to sacrifice the grip and performance of the q3's. Anybody have any suggestions? If not I mean with the rebate $190 for a set of dunlops is tough to beat. If there's nothing like I'm asking currently on the market I'll just bite the bullet and grab another set. I just get tired of pulling my tires off every month lol.

They are loud engines naturally. These bikes require little maintainence so unless it's been thrashed I doubt it's anything to worry about. Record the sounds/symptoms you were referring to and post them up either here or on badweatherbikers.com. We will get you straightened out quickly enough.
I don't know of any local shops to take it to. Although any decent Harley dealer should be able to sort you out. It is a Harley sourced engine after all.

It will be an AWESOME machine. As far as I know the engine will be untouched from the 1190rx. If my assumptions are correct it should be geared slightly lower. Fact, versus the RX the rear of the sx is raised an inch or so via a spacer in the rear mono. This is a hooligan bike through and through designed for the experience rather than the appearance. Sure it looks edgy and unorganized but you have to realize that this Is a first year production bike from a new company. It is exactly what is lt was supposed to be, a 1190rx without the fairings and a little more attitude.

Nonsense. Just roll around screaming loud engine noises. No one will even know the difference.
Although I do really like the design. It is defiantly buellesque. And as a buell enthusiast I appreciate that. Anxious to see how it performs. With all these new bikes it almost looks like Harley is trying to sell motorcycles instead of t-shirts an leather lol. What has the world come to.

Since the ride has been changed to Sunday I cannot make it.

Also for anyone riding up to Logan from south central ohio, I will be Heading out around 8:30 from Portsmouth and running up 93 all the way to Logan. Feel free to tag along

Just throw the dog in a back pack and toss it a few dog treats every now and then. It'll be great. Dogs love motorcycle rides lol

Unless I missed something. I was looking around at all the meet ups for the 2014 epic spring ride, and all of them are an hour or so out of the way for me or anybody else in the south central area. Gauging interest on a meetup for those south of Chillicothe, them Deep South Ohioans. A little late, I know, but I was only just confirmed I was for sure going.

My ex had an 1125 cr. It was called the Kraken, and it certainly lived up to it's name (when it was running, anyway)
Sorry to hear you had problems. What was wrong? Im going to assume ststor, vr, or something along those lines? Theyre quite a lot of fun unless you get a lemon.
Hey another buell rider!
Welcome and nice 1125
Haha We are few and far anymore. Thanks. lol I get the feeling we've met before

Seeing as I've never been on these roads I will have to take a less responsible role. I'm in though. Is there a thread for the guys coming down from the pony this year?? Or are we all just pm'ing ZxHooligan?

Thanks for the warm welcome! Gotcha! The controls for this forum are a bit different than what I'm used to :/
I ride in N.Ky behind Ashland/Flatwoods all the time. There's some great roads out there. 125 is local too. It's pretty good.
Older pictures. I'll get some more up to date ones with all the new modifications.

Baha! Figured it out. There's this handy button labeled full site... It opens the gateway to the universe...

Aloha from the southernmost point of the state and prescription drug abuse capital of ohio! I am in Portsmouth. Do a lot of riding in Kentucky and the surrounding state parks. Been riding for quite a long time, been through many bikes. It's a passion. Anybody on here in my area? Any Buell love on here? And I'm assuming you can't post pictures from the mobile site? The site appears to be very limited through my iPhone. Anyways. Nice to meet you all and ride safe.
