  1. I have a Corbin on my ZX6R. I love it. The biggest difference is that the seat is wider in the back so when you're not pressed up against the tank for spirited rides you can scoot back a little bit and have your butt actually be spread over the seat instead of having it split your cheeks if that makes sense. As far as longevity, A+ so far. I've left it in the rain a couple times and it dries out fairly well as long as you leave it for a bit. Finish is still perfect after that as well. I got mine off of Ebay for about 80 bucks less than retail, still brand new.
  2. Wait...so who was the guy on the Ninja 500 at the end?
  3. Awesome, actually been looking for a decent CB or GS project. Sounds like the price was right too.
  4. Definitely looks better imo, good job!
  5. Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I took 127 down and it's not a bad ride at all. Did get stuck behind the occasional semi, however. It looks like the lake has finally come up since February. (It's about tine they got that dam(n) work done!) It's a beautiful area and I would like to explore more of it. I am very familiar with the lake itself already. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  6. Howdy, and welcome. Oh, and GO USA!
  7. Always liked the modern goats, even if they were reservedly styled. This looks like a very clean low mileage example, and with the proper 6spd transmission. GLWS!
  8. He was in a coma for months, I think anyone would be in bad shape after that!
  9. Yup, I have a general distaste for 'busas, but I would ride that one, no doubt!
  10. The kid is relatively eloquent. I think he'll get the hammer though.
  11. So, are we laughing at his poor conducting skills?
  12. I'm a valet so I have driven quite a few. Since it sounds like you've taken a test drive, you know how nice they drive (at least I think they do.) Plenty of power, smooth driving, and sharp aesthetics to boot. I obviously can't attest to the reliability aspect, but they're are copious amounts on the road so that has to mean something right? Personally I think they're good vehicles in my experience.
  13. Saw this when it came out. 24inch Hd monitor in full screen, I got butterflies.Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  14. Holy hell. I do some crazy stuff, but I DO have a brain in my head...
  15. I'd like to, though I have some things to fix on the bike before she's ready for a good shakedown. I'll follow this thread in case I can get it all done in time though.
  16. That would be a pretty cool story. I don't think I'd try for a land speed record or anything. I'd rather take my time and make it an adventure. The only problem I see is...how do you get to a starting point without adding a bunch to the trip. Unless you flew and then rented a car.
  17. I'd give him 4500 cash or walk. Once he sees you're serious about leaving he'll wise up if he doesn't take out as soon as you throw it out there.
  18. So I made an impromptu trip down to KY. Jamestown area on Lake Cumberland to be exact. I left Saturday morning around nine from Columbus. Took the slab down to Cincy and promptly hopped on to 127 with the hopes that it would make things a bit more interesting. Took KY127 all the way to Jamestown, and I have to say it's not a bad ride. Good scenery and the gas stations are frequent enough to not be worried as long as you pay attention to the odometer. Arrived in the early afternoon and got to spend some time on the lake which was nice. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on Sunday and I decided to slab it back (up 75) to try and beat the rain. I did end up hitting a bit of weather for about twenty minutes, first time I've ever ridden in the rain (though I wouldn't have called it rain...almost like a very moistening mist.) Those dividing lines get pretty damn slippery when they're wet...at any rate. Stopped 4 times both there and back, but all the slab riding on the way back and the quick turn around time and my butt was hurting by the time I got back! Checked the odometer and it was about a 720 mile round trip when all was said and done. Unfortunate side note...dropped the bike for the first time I was pulling out of the gas station about thirty miles from my destination. Went to put my foot down but to no avail. My left pant leg had caught on the heel guard. In a moment of clarity I realized I could release the rear brake and put down my right foot if only I could shift my weight to that side...but it was too late, my body did not cooperate with the speed and panic with which my brain was operating. Ended up scuffing the clutch cover, back of the mirror, and swingarm spool but that was about the extent of the damage other than the left clip on being swiveled back slightly. Luckily I thought ahead and threw a set of allen wrenches in the backpack before I left. A quick adjustment while I let the bike cool and the fluids settle and off I went. Second unfortunate note. No pictures, sorry. So what did ya'll do this weekend? Cliff notes - Long trip, dropped bike, too much slab, butt pain.
  19. Always sad to see things like this happen, but these guys know the risks. Especially with a race such as this one. But holy hell, 65 years old and started racing IoM in '92. Now that's a legacy.
  20. Howdy. Plenty of us guys around the Columbus area.
  21. That's s good point. It's just sickening to think that our race can do horrendous things to our own with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. I'm interested to see what you have planned. Also, if I go buy one and jump into the nearest pond, do you think it would void my warranty?
