Lunch at Coal House BBQ. Then the fun part of 119, then 421, 80 and 550.

Hammer down on 550 I see a deer running up the hillside....so I shut it down hard figuring there are more....and signal everyone behind me. Crest the hill and there is a doe and her few days old fawn in the middle of the road. Full on ABS...the fawn freezes so I dove right. That moved the fawn left where it froze again and found itself staring at the front tire of an MT10 that stopped 2 feet short of it.

That fawn should now understand the value of ABS. I know Jamie and I do.

So we start to accelerate and are still going slow and around the corner comes a cop.

So we saved that fawns life, and it for sure saved us tickets. Win win.

Good thing I took that boat anchor of a top case back with me.  That extra 40 lbs could have made the difference in how that story ended.

Was that at 10 am going north on the Dragon, on the Grom?

Yep.  Was hoping you guys would stop after the dragon so we could say hey but you just kept rolling.  I have a yellow helmet.

  3. I'm making the pins.  It'll take me another day at the shop once I get the frame.  Ain't happening.

But yeah, itll be a huge improvement.  Once I have one frame, my plan is to make a couple more myself.  $300 each is a little steep when I know how to cut metal.

Suspiciously it's MY grom that's missing from that trailer. Jacob... is the wheelieometer going to be reading higher than when I left it when I look at it next? :beating:

Haha. Had to move it when I mounted the spare tire and did a clutch fluid swap.  Ya know, cause I'm prepared on my maintenance.

    “We getting “

Jesus. I thought you were like a Doctor or some shit like that. Educated and all....

Knowing Doc, he probably hasn't slept in a week in anticipation.  He's doing the best he can, cut a guy a break!

  6. Perfect weather = great riding and hanging with my friends.  Crappy weather = talking about great riding and hanging with my friends.  Neither of which involve work.  Sounds like a perfect vacation to me.

Oh another question, would any of you guys bring and set up a Beacon of your own? I have a XT racing mini lap timer I would be using, what side would I have to set the I/R receiver on?

Andy and I can bring a beacon, but I won't be there the weekend you are.  There is usually someone running a beacon anyway.  Receiver pointed left.

Hi, lol yea I've watched several Youtube videos and read alot of comments there and some here from yall, about MO being slick in the mornings. Dude it sounds just like fucking GRATTAN mornings!!!

I'm not pre-paying until like 2 weeks prior to the event, but I will CALL them and talk to them over the phone, etc first! Well as long as I dont wad up my bike in the early summer at Grattan! :)

Yo are they really strict about using Hilow oil filters? (I currently have one on my bike, NPs) for tech? Its not a big deal, as I will need to change my oil prior to doing MO anyways. I would use a OEM kawi filter wired to a safety clamp!

DO NOT USE HIFLOW!  Or anything with a nut on the end.  OEM is safe.  They will not let you ride without a proper filter.  100% GTFO if you have a filter on their banned list.
