Not much, truthfully, just dotting all i's and crossing all t's.

    Full build will be:

Racetech springs + heavier fork oil in forks
    YSS stage 2 rear shock
Easily removable number plate (eventually with LED blinker strips and a small removable LED headlight)
    Shorter, thinner bars
    Kenda Kwik KD-1 tires
Lever guards/moose hand guards, not sure which way I want to go here yet.. I would swap the hand guards over to the CBR when tracking that
    Ram air

Thinking of possibly doing a clutch cover swap as well. There's an aftermarket clutch case cover that eliminates the oil flinger and lets you install a paper oil filter, it also has a glass viewport with a full oil indicator so no more dipstick. The biggest benefit to this would be eliminating the flinger though, that's like 5lbs of spinning mass gone.
If I do the clutch case I would also swap out the stock clutch springs for stiffer aftermarket springs. I may do this anyway though, I just need to feel how well it grabs while racing.

Also need to add some protection for the exhaust.  That low mount thing is going to get ripped right off on the first right hand low side.

  2. North side of town is generally best.  FWIW, I rent out our 1100 sqft 2 bed 1.5 bath house in Clintonville-ish (on High Street between Morse Rd and 161) for $1525/month.  The tenants are thrilled.

I hate driving and work enough as it is, I'm happy to be 4 miles from work.

All the places Casper suggested are good places to start a search.  German Village is probably better now, it was kinda skechy for a while, haven't been down there a whole heck of a lot recently.  Great restaurants are what bring me down now.

When the hell is that daytona rebuild going to be finished?

No fucking clue.  People laugh when I tell them I'm riding a 60k+ mile Ducati and my brand new Triumph has been in the shop for 6+ months.

  4. I have a Forcefield protector like the Pro L2, its a couple years old, so may not be the exact model.  Looks the same though.  I love it, pretty comfy, I know it works when I've been run over mini racing.  After my collarbone this year, aside from dialing it back a bit, I will be headed for an air vest in addition to my Forcefield.  I don't want to try to cram more stuff inside the suit than I already have.  All the big guys are going for the air bag stuff, and the vests seem to be pretty good.

Is the chest protector worth it?  Not until you need it!  If you can fit it in your suit, why not?  I wouldn't worry about the heat, 20 minute big bike sessions and 15 minute races.  I doubt you'd notice much of a difference.  If you were taking it touring, something more to think about.  The cost of good protection is nothing when compared to even a minor injury.  I could have picked up any Dianese suit, the best boots and gloves, and had money to party with what I spend on this damn collarbone.

She's quick for her age. Up to about 90 it accelerates just as fast as the CBR1k. Granted Jacob has about a 150lb advantage going for him, but it still surprised me.

Or someone is getting a better drive on someone else :eatdrink:

Posted that pic in the other thread, but Andy is about to pass my ass, easily.  Drive or no drive, 9 years newer suspension and +100HP will lay a beat down.  It's fun to pretend I can hang in there with him, until he gets around, then woosh! See ya!   Love the second one of his CBR though, you can see the heat messing with the air coming out of the exhaust.  I'm sure there is a science-y term for that.

So @jacobhawkins did get on the list to testify, but couldn't make it. The committee chair called his name, waited a bit and muttered sometime about contempt of Senate charges.

Haha.   Did they really call me?  Had to get parts down to North Carolina so one of our great American automakers can get their line back up and going.  Really bummed I missed it.

Testimony is 10:30 AM this Wednesday in the Senate South hearing room. I expect you :asshat: 's to be there buying me breakfast, coffee and giving me handys.

If I came, would I get to go into the hearing or would my position only be giving handys and bringing snacks?
