  1. Hey guys, I recently purchased a Yamaha Service Manual for my FJR from a site called http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/ and I have to say i am impressed with this site. I don't think their a very big operation, but their customer service was top notch. They packaged the manual with two layers of bubble wrap and then placed it inside two boxes. From everything I looked at, these are genuine Factory sealed Yamaha service manuals and their significantly cheaper than the dealer price.

  2. One of my Smh10 did that too. Sena sent me a new one before I even sent the defective one back because I had a trip coming up and they didn't want me to miss out having it. So it was easy working with them for replacment.

Yeah some friends of mine had their 20s go bad, and Sena sent one out to them real quick. I hope I can get a speedy replacement, riding season is getting thin.

  3. Carry guns absolutely need to be comfortable. If you can't stand to train with it, get something else. Don't trust your life to something you can't train with. Ive never liked kel tek, I've had a few apart and the machining on them is horrible, the sights are shitty, the trigger pull sucks.... Just curious but:

    Why DAO?

You can get a nice compact 9 that you can train with all day that has better sights and is just as concealable as the pf9 for just a little more money if you go striker fired.

The gun isnt that uncomfortable, I meant its not a plinking gun. I agree with the Keltec quality is sub-par. I sold my PF9 and switched to a Bodyguard 380.

  4. I had a PF9, I shot roughly 1000 rounds through it in 1-2 years. Definitely a long trigger pull to be accurate with. It's rough on the hands after about 50-100 rounds in one session, but carry guns don't need to be comfortable. I'd say just shoot a couple more boxes through it and you will get feel for the trigger.

  5. Well, I have hit my first issue with the 10U. While riding to work today, my unit just shut off. I charged it and nothing. I can't get any response. So, I took the unit back out of the helmet and tried some troubleshooting, and still nothing. Sent my email to Sena to see about a replacement.

  6. What Bridgestone were you running I just spooned on a set of T30 GT specs. My pervious tireswere Angles A spec

From what I am told, the stock stones are different from the aftermarket ones, but they were BT-023s. This is my 3rd set of Angel GTs, 1st set on the FJR, and I really like them. Might try the PR4s next. Running DynaBeads and the wear good. I might be doing a suspension upgrade this winter that might help tire wear.

  7. I got 6 out of my last rear and 8 out of my last front, front had tread on it but was cupping. So I'm making suspension changes too.

Heck I barely got 4k out of the stock Bridgestones on my FJR. Never cupped, but it was blistering. Angel GTs are looking alot better.

  8. Around here people pay for reserved spaces (via donations to United Way) so parking in somebody else's spot could be considered "theft of service" or similar.

I actually had someone physically move my motorcycle and found a truck parked in its place in the "Motorcycles only" area.  I went to the facilities management and had the truck moved.  Although the truck owner denied moving the bike it was made clear to them that next time a bike was tampered with like that it would handled by the cops.

That wouldn't fly with me. You don't touch a man's bike unless given permission.

  9. That's the only thing I dobt like about them is the low seat, but once rolling it dosnt matter.

Yeah I agree. It kinda has a cruiser seating position almost. I definitely dont have to worry about that on the FJR. Yamaha's engineers and test riders must all be over 6 foot, cause its a stretch for me.

  10. I ran a mirror lense and a pnlock tinted lense on my Shoei Qwest. I could ride at night with them, but it was enjoyable. Tunnels on BRP were an issue for me. Couldnt open the shield due to messing with my contacts (Thankful for Lasik now). Now with my Shoei Neotec, I love the drop down sun visor with a clear pinlock main lense. It works great and comes down plenty far enough.
