  1. I kind of read the OP wrong but manual is300's are pretty hard to come by now a days but to seal the deal I would compare pricing and that should be final factor. See what some are selling for and I think the guy who is trading you the G wants the is300 so try to get a bit of cash on top by telling him you've done some research and not so sure etc..

I don't know condition or years of both vehicles so hard to say exactly but I know from experience that if I were selling both vehicles the is300 would get more hits..

  2. My bro has had the G35x for years and we beat the brakes off that thing and it still runs like a champ. Great daily and great winter car with the correct tires! Heated leather seats and sound system is decent too! I would trade if decent miles/condition
  3. Adventures are fun.

All good now. Got underneath after work & checked voltage, everything looked good so I told my buddy to turn the key while I tapped the starter a few times and bing she started right up.. Probably will rebuild it sooner or later but running good for now. Will upgrade to a high torque starter down the road.

  4. He got a smokin' deal. A Farkas car for 1/6th of Farkas pricing lol.

Haters gonna hate, but you put some BS stance wheels on this thing and dump it (because those are "mods" these days) no one except the one Porsche club douche that no one liked in high school is going to know the difference.

I see nothing but winning here. Great catch!

    Thanks buddy

  5. What's wrong with it?

Does it still have the original '68 engine? It would be a 2.0 liter if stock, 3.0 liter if upgraded to 1982 specs.

Starter went out I believe, some hot start issue pretty common with them just have to clean some parts and upgrade to high torque most likely. Runs fine if I were to push start. Not original motor, swapped out completely.

  6. Why do you want to poke the bear? If all you want to do is be aggressive just PM me, it will be easier and you won't look like a douche picking a fight.

I am curious if the wheelbase was changed. 1968 would make it an 87 inch wheelbase but the later "modern" aircooleds would be 89 inch. The overall length of the car didn't change but the rear wheel position did. wondering if when they did the turbo look wheel arches they did all the other stuff too.

Also what tranny is in it? 901? 915? G50?

901 tranny and not sure about wheel base would have to look into it. My guess would be no change. Only had the car for a few days already had to get under it. This weather isn't helping either.

  7. Nope, that's just a common thing on instagram I think. I don't have instagram either. I just use twitter for news and sports news, but occasionally instagram leaks into FB/Twitter universes and the majority of what i see is tilted car pictures and hashtags galore.

Ya that's true. I used to have a lot of social media stuff but trying to get a college degree requires some sort of attention and I get distracted very easily so deleted everything besides FB since I get most of my parts from car pages.

  8. It's a platform for people with terrible/boring/otherwise unremarkable cars and lives to make their cars and lives look interesting by doing things like tilting the camera, adding fancy filters, and using 14 kajillion hashtags so that other people with uninteresting and unremarkable lives will comment.

Since I tilted the pictures you assume I have an instagram? :grin2:
