  1. Be healthy, draft and pay healthy durable players. Kyrie is Wade 2.0 and now the rumor is Wade may come to Cleveland. SMH Never should have given up Wiggins for Love. It was dumb. Now neverland could be without Love and Wiggins!

OKC will be a force next year, good luck neverland.

We shall see. Underdogs on top. Don't need the luck.

If any 2 of their star players were healthy, they probably would have won.

    Perkins/Varegao/Love/Irving

And lets be honest, this is what happened in Miami. If they get healthy, they could do very well for the next few years.

Agreed. Just one more player that has the confidence in the NBA finals and doesn't run around with shaky knees..

  2. Stats didn't translate to wins? What does then? He can't play his ass off and then play for the other 4 others on his team as well. You can tell he wants to pass and make plays but no one would step up! It's simple JR couldn't hit easy layups, Delly doing way to much at times and the rest of the team was asleep! If you watched closely you could see the frustration of Lebron when he kept yelling at his team to Wake Up! I play basketball and watching the things he did was ridiculous. I'm not being a fanboy either if any of you actually play basketball doing what he does in half a quarter would leave you dead beat and wanting to go home.

"Its easy to shoot bricks all night and ball hog"

    Right right..

I wanna hear what people think the Cavs and LeBron should have done to win?

  3. Why such a huge range of 911? There are some big differences in driving experience, equipment, styling, etc. in that range. Have you driven one at all? Just curious because my assumption at this time is no. I come across 911's somewhat frequently "for sale" on the down low sorta like a interview process. Cars come in for service and the owner will drop "well, I would consider selling" and if we mention no one they are happy to just keep it.

There is a '71 ish targa behind the shop right now that needs the suspension, brakes, and carbs completely overhauled that if he decided to sell would probably go for sub $10K. We sold a 205K mile '89 Anniversary car for $5K that ran and drove, but was a huge project, etc.....

In an earlier post I mentioned that I have not driven one. I've heard countless times however and talked with a few owners.. I could deal with it and with all the modern suspension and parts that are offered today its not a huge problem. PM me details on that targa if you can I'd be interested and that '89 also sounds like something I would have been interested in while it was selling. Not looking for a mint 911 as my first would rather get more familiar with them. I've been following a few builds and one guy has an immaculate 911 that he wrenches on in his driveway and had no experience with Porsches before hand. I'd rather learn and shouldn't get myself into a deep hole even with the worst luck & everything failing.

  4. Cars are never a good investment but good cars in the years you are looking at are all only going up in value. If it were me I'd find the best deal I could find on an SC or 964, keep it close to stock and make it as nice as possible and you will never lose money on it, might even make money on it.

To be clear this is not true on post 993 cars unless they have a GT badge on them.

Makes sense but Id want to drive it a lot and keeping stock might be a challenge. Might have to get two.. or three lol..

  5. Buy a 951 (944 turbo) and destroy any 911 (not newer 930s) in any contest in those years for 8-12 grand. Have you ever driven one? They are neat but they have to be one of the most overrated cars of all time.

Not a fan of the 944's but then again I have not but have heard enough to know what your referring to.

Graduate college, blow life savings on a Porsche in an unstable job enviorment? This will end in only 1 way, with you losing money and most likely butchering a good 930/964.

Time will tell. You should hint when the next cheap 911 listing will be on eBay with your fortune telling ;)

That car is sold, but if it weren't... has no engine in it. Porsche flat 6s are VERY expensive, and ls-swaps last I checked were $8k+ if you do the wrenching yourself and buy off-the-shelf hardware. If that car is perfect otherwise, $6500 ain't bad if you can source a replacement long block and hardware.

Yes with the shell I would be going the renegade hybrid ls swap route. Investing ~15k into a beast like that is do-able and I don't see it as a crazy amount in a badass car like that. I'd rather get familiar with the format of the car that way anyway. Throw a set of wheels on it and could easily get my money back if not make profit if I decide to sell..

  6. Why on earth would you pass up a clean 930 for 30-40k, only to purchase a clapped out Porsche for 20k? :masturboy:

Being a full time student blowing close to everything I got to get a car that won't be driven much at all isn't practical to me right now. Id have to sell all the toys and be stuck with some turd daily. As bad as it sounds I probably would still do it but since the car isn't going anywhere anytime soon I can hold off. I'm mainly looking for a shell. If only I bounced on this thing on time.

Even if its a targa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  7. I can buy a nice 964/930 for 30-40k but that takes the fun out of it. Won't go out of my way just yet. I'll update the thread if I pick something up. Don't think my first one will have a Porsche drivetrain lol. I like Caymans but don't want anything but a 911 as of right now. Ill keep searchin
  8. Looking to buy any condition Porsche 911 from 1980-1998, cash in hand.

Rust is alright but don't want to bother with a completely rotted out shell..

    Salvage/rebuilt/clean title don't matter

I'm pretty good at searching for cars so I've tapped out all of my resources & still waiting on several people to respond. Ideally I'm looking to stay sub 20k range. There's several I've found but the cheaper the better.

I'm looking for a decent deal not just a beat 911 a few grand under blue book or 'whatever these cars are selling for' price. Have been trying to get one before I turn 21 but seems like it won't happen.

Located in Cleveland. PM me with any details or leads. Thanks!

  10. Pics are not the same bike. Riding pic rims are more yellow and the bike only pic has an extra piece sticking out just above where the License plate goes.

Same bike in both pics. Top pic must have been edited a bit by my buddy who took it with a different phone. Idk what extra piece your talking about must be the angle of the pic because its the same bike Lol

  11. I posted pics of me without proper gear in my intro thread so I was already expecting more safety talk and a few numb nuts :D

Thanks for the recommendations tho I know its only cuz you guys don't want to see me get hurt. Ill try to have more gear in my next rolling shot :)

  12. Still confused why you had to tape it up because you didn't bring it home on a truck.... are you not going to ever ride it on the street?

But yes, gorgeous color and I love that bike, want one.

    How tall are you btw?

Id rather get rock chips/bugs on the front fairing after the 300 mile ride home. I've done this before and this worked out. Im about 6"1

  13. We've been over this discussion already guys but yes safety first.. I chose to leave gloves in car and to wear sneakers it being about 90 out..

Every stop I added or switched up my gear.. Bike was taped up bcuz I rode it home from KY to OH. Had no truck available to use and my buddy was free to drive me.
