horses for courses. What are your typical ride lengths and how many rocks/roots? Are your legs strong enough to ride out of the saddle to soak the bumps most of the time? I've had full susp for 20 years and wouldn't consider a hard tail as my only bike compared to an upper end dual susp.

Had a small water main leak in the ditch on my road. For a while I thought it was just standing water from all the rain. It was fixed last week. Now where they dug is deeper and pools all the water in one spot.
