  1. Well if there was ever a manly excuse for a selfie it was for the sake of a beard lol Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  2. Maybe the Balm will change your mind. I've been bearded for almost 2 years. Only interferes with life occasionally. My beard has not grown any longer than in my pic during the whole two years. A gift and curse. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  3. I've never used oils, balms made more sense to me. Their Cedar Falls scent is a lady killer. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. Now we're in my area of expertise. CSC knows what's up, bay Rum is good. I'm currently using it. But can I suggest Stately Beard Company. They're from Lima, Ohio and its my unbiased favorite lol Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. CSC, what would I do without you? Let me keep a steady eye on Craig's list and hope something pops up. You-da-man. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the information guys! What a thread! Are there any FI bikes that don't come covered in plastic? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. How does one reduce compression, shorter(?) Pistons. Been doing some research and it looks like piston size+empty cylinder space ÷ piston size(?) =your compression. I did read up a little on octane, which is my understanding reduces the probability of detonation. Also, rich mix=cooler temps. Amiright? I'd love to get some pictures off of 2fat2fly. Google isn't very helpful, having a hard time wrapping my head around how you plug back into the intake. Like, does it plug the recycled exhaust in before or after the carb? Can I even use the stock carbs? Moving the carbs back to allow room for boost entrance seems like it would completely ruin the functionality of the carbs, and putting the exhaust back through the carb doesn't seem like a great idea either. I'm starting at square 1 here, so I won't be insulted by toddler talk as long as it ends up with me understanding how to vroom-vroom and whistle lol and again, not really looking for a huge performance improvement. Looking to pick up a basket case to work on all winter. I told my girlfriend it's a project to help me learn (hoping to make powersports a career), but in all reality I'm probably going to fall in love and keep it forever. 8. It won't be easy, but I want to do it! This will be more about the fab work (for me) than performance, so I'd be happy with limited boost. Looks like a ton of work the more research I do. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. Does anybody have any nice detailed plans/pictures/diagrams of turbo bike setups, mostly the piping situation. Long story short I'm taking welding classes and am a man with a dream. You da bess, love you, thanks. -D Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  10. Sheesh! Thanks dudes. Found one for $150. If it has a title I'm buying it, of it doesn't I might buy it just to part it out. (Maybe slap the carbs in my 79') . I'll keep you guys posted if I follow through. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. It all in the title. What makes it unique, besides the tail end. I'd like mechanical/performance answers please. Thanks! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  12. CSC read my mind, probably because he put the idea there. Been gawking at them for awhile!
  13. I saw my first ZRX at the sweet corn festival in Lodi yesterday. What a sight. I parked my Honda next to it hoping I'd bump into the guy, but when I came back they'd moved all their bikes away from mine. :'( the bike is the best of both worlds.
  14. I dumped the bike for the first time a couple weeks back. Shifted down (in a turn) to take a steep hill in a lower gear. The bike wasn't warmed up so it was already a little sputtery and dumped the clutch and went over. I broke a portion of the clutch lever off and left almost all my pride at the bottom of the hill. Luckily it was just the lever that broke. Nothing else even cosmetically. Glad to hear you're alright! Couple of my anti-gear, bobber riding friends took each other out last night (on a ride I purposely wasn't invited to) No injuries, thankfully. I guess they shouldn't have left their guardian angel at home
  15. June was a 30 day lesson on "if you won't ride in the rain, you won't ride"
  16. I've been off the forum for a month or two and just wanted to check in, hope everybody is safe, and sound and riding! I've been putting miles on the bike. June was a real bitch here in Wayne co. Rained 21 days. I'm pretty sure I've got carpal tunnel in my left wrist, but other than that I'm peachy. The lady and I booked a vacation to Aruba and I'm off work for the 4th of July ! Life is good, hope it is for you guys too!

    Beer Cap Maps

    Enjoy, beer enthusiasts. http://m.instructables.com/id/Open-Source-Beer-Bottle-Cap-Mosaic-Program/
  18. Give it enough tequila and it might even let you get frisky with dat blowhole.
  19. Haha I doubt its available anywhere but through geriatric hoarders and the black market. You'd have to shell a lot of clams to come up with 55 gallons lol If I had to guess I'd say a much bigger bottle... Or spears and wooden boats. Yet another mystery lolI need to get a whale penis leather seat for my bike, then I can lube it up with whale oil and put a f+'k PETA sticker on my helmet and do rolling burnouts through town. #HipsterAsshole
  20. It cost a dollar and its 8 oz. I don't know what going rate for whale oil was, but I'm sure its old lol
  21. Treat your bike to the best, buy Moby Dick's Sperm Oil and keep that chain lubed! Found this in my dads shop. It was apparently distilled and sold in Lodi, Ohio. I'm sure it's the last of Sperm Whale lubricants.
  22. Now we're talking. Those sound perfect, thanks!
  23. I wear my seatbelt *most* everywhere I drive, but I think there are scenarios where a seatbelt could kill you. The odds are NOT in your favor though. My buddy got in an accident where the dumbass driver ditched the car at 90mph. He was in the backseat and the axle broke and tore through into the cabin through the seat he would have been firmly glued to had he been wearing his seat belt. He admits this probably would have killed him, but now wears his seat belt religiously. I'm not disagreeing with your points, I just think that wearing a seatbelt has a couple scenarios that could end badly. I don't think wearing a helmet has ever killed anybody though, and I'd love to hear somebody's anti-helmet rationale. "I couldn't see the semi truck because the helmet limited my vision, so I had to lay the bike down" haha [emoji615]
  24. I'll keep that stuff in mind. My carb is clean though. Rebuilt it less than 500 miles ago. New gaskets, brass and rubber bits, completely disassembled it to the last screw. Gunk is not my issue. A bad bench sync is lol
