  1. The airline hose will be hard to find. All the Meth heads buy/steal it from all the surrounding stores :'(
  2. I've seen the water bottle system before and have been kinda curious about trying it. I just might give it a shot. I'd rather do this myself than pay somebody, but alas, riding season is upon us.
  3. Also, just for reference I have 4 carbs and a cb750.
  4. Is the seafoam purpose for the water, or for cleaning the carbs? I fully rebuilt the carbs in March, I just never did a proper sync. I poured a "bunch" in this last tank. I never measure, but I definitely put prob. 2-3 oz in
  5. So my bike got stuck in the rain at work a week or so ago and it would run fine, but die at idle. I figured maybe I got water in my tank. Got a new tank of gas and it ran better. Its been dying at idle lately though and I'm pretty sure my carbs just need synced. I upped my idle to about 1800rpm and its doing fine. But i want to fix the problem, not work around it. Not even sure if the rain is related to my current problems. So what I'm really asking is: What is the best balance of cost effective and accurate carb syncing. I don't have much extra money to be spending on tools or service. Either way I look at it a cheap sync tool is about $100 and I'm sure a mechanic will charge pretty close to the same.
  6. Oooh, that's a sexy color. Being that its an old cb350, black would NOT have been my choice, but its what dude wants. I'll have to expose him to these other options. thanks!
  7. That happened to me once in my car, but I was driving. It just ran out of a tree farm and directly into the side of my car. We both left unscathed.
  8. If it had been anything but a deer I'd have rolled on...and through. I don't care what kind of logic is brought to the table, Rolling into a deer is my last option.
  9. Haha he's a beacon of hope for us orange folks. Plus he doesn't wear shoes when he plays piano. and that's badass.
  10. I live in Wayne county, the get pretty F***ing big around here. Not as big as my bike, but I'll continue to give the deer right of way. No matter how many times I tell them to look both ways and use hoof signals before crossing, they keep doing whatever they like.I'd make a full mount of that deer carcass, and replace its legs with tires if I were you ????
  11. Almost took out a deer at 60mph a few nights back. I was taught to brake, or swerve, not both. I practice sudden stopping at some back road intersections and am glad I had. When the deer ran out I swerved, he followed, then I braked. I locked up at least one of the tires for a second, but I think practice saves everybody time, money, pride, and livelihood. I think that, generally, "laying down a bike" is deferment of fault.
  12. Whew, glad for this PSA. Could have been a short summer for this ginge!
  13. No more speed racing for this guy. Glad nothing came of it! My girlfriend often makes fun of me for going slow in a car, bikes just bring the idiot out of me I guess. Momentary lapse of reason.
  14. Yikes! You get ticketed?
  15. That is very good to know. I can pay money all day, I only have so many points to lose though lol
  16. Haha yes! Its perfect. I'll have to show them these plans for the next roof remodel.
  17. I agree on the roof planning. I've never seen a Harley, or gut shaker, around the joint. Which makes the whole Harley Davidson roof thing better......or worse?
  18. Soak this in. Just noticed this while driving around town today.
  19. Does my 79' even have a governor? Lol
  20. I don't want to raise my idle above specs just for that pull, but I'll keep it in mind.
  21. I'm with you. I wear whatever shoes I'm going to end up being in when commuting (only). Is this the safest possible move? Nah, but its very understandable. Its funny noting the differences between riders and people. I live in a village and am a lame-ass for wearing a helmet and not riding a harley with the American Flag dragging in the wind behind it. Yet most of you are most definitely for ATGATT and are teasing Dude-man for NOT wearing gear.
  22. Okay, I figured it was a simple this bike does or doesn't. But wanted to clarify. The bikes I learned on did, and my 750 won't. Like I said, I've found the balance and am comfortable with it, i just feel like my takeoff could be more smooth if it pulled without throttle.
  23. Alright, guys. Here with another idiotic question. My bike doesn't "pull" me in first gear when I ease off the clutch unless I give it some throttle. While I openly admit to my noob status, I feel this isn't normal. I've been on 2 or 3 other bikes (much smaller than my own) and when you ease off the clutch it takes you without any throttle. Mine isn't horrible, and I've definitely got a feel for it now. It just makes low speed maneuvering a bit of a pain comparatively. Is this just a bigger bike problem (750cc) or can it be adjusted? I've tweaked the cable in and out for weeks bit by bit and am finally comfortable with the reach. Please advise this padawan.
