  1. allyou gotta do is 'google' for the show babes, plenty of sites. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=detroit+auto+show+babes&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=
  2. Even the less expensive AR15 can be expensive depending upon how they're optioned out. Grips, sights, scopes all determine the end cost. CMMG(from what I've gathered/heard is a company that assembles finished ARs' with parts from various sources) and DPMS are probably the two least expensive in the basic platform arena. The company that owns DPMS also owns Remington,Marlin,H&R,Bushmaster,& Dakota.
  3. too many good AR15 platform companies out there to even consider buying a Colt. Colt got the manufacturing rights from Armalite. Bushmaster,CMMG,DSC,DPMS,RRA,Ruger,S&W,Stag are the less expensive.
  4. after 12 drive down trips to Florida,ya never have enough time to do everything planned. you never said what your interests are. I go down for major car events, amusement parks, flea markets, country bars, and the weather. Busch Gardens pricey for having only 4 major coasters,Kumba,Montu,Gwazi,& Shiekra. Universal Islands of Adventure has only 2 major coasters,Hulk & Dragon Challenge, but the park visuals of Marvel characters is great. Was there 4 weeks ago. Daytona/Daytona Beach, not much happening except during events. The Daytona track has tours(for a fee). Not much going on in Orlando except for the theme parks,Disney,Universal,& Sea World. Flea markets all around. Kissimmee 'Old Town'-interesting shopping area with cruise-ins on friday & saturday nite.
  5. is the bare 10 bolt housing 3 or 4 channel ? 3 channel would have the sensor hole at top.
  6. my first (don't forget I'm old,64) was 60 chevy convertible, got it after high school in 1964,couldn't find a pic,but a pic on google is what it looked like except 6 cyl. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/1960vert.jpg 2nd was a 1965 Buick GranSport http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/1965GSSCACAwTextS.jpg bought new in the spring of 65,had 205,000 miles on it went I sold it in 78.
  7. swap meet was large(understatement),but the swap meet portion at Charlotte Lowes Food Lion Autofair in spring and fall was biggest I've ever seen, covers about 2/3 of the infield and 2X as much outside the track.
  8. got back monday morning at 5am. the large cruise-in in the video occurs thursday thru saturday, day & night, at bellaire plaxa on A1A. great event, also went in 2008. the track is full of vendors, swap meet, car corral, and car show. car corral area http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/carcorral3shotflatRCAAS4.jpg
  9. lane win lights further down the lanes(wishful thinking),it would then be like the 60s/70s when every light was a street race challenge.
  10. Euclid is the first eastern suburb of Cleveland.
  11. Beretta 92FS Inox 9mm -stainless steel version of standard 92FS -Italian production before Beretta had a production line in the USA for the Inoxs',Italian versions were individually made instead of production line versions, better fit and finish. -$600 I'll be posting it on Cleveland Racing and take it to the Euclid Gun Show next weekend. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/DSC_2037ACCCAS.jpg
  12. Bob and I went down for Daytona Beachs' '1st Annual Dream Cruise' in October of 08. They attempted to duplicate Detroits' 'Dream Cruise',they failed BUT because of the 'other stuff' not officially connected to the dream cruise,it's worth going to. Found out about 'Mexico' acivities but were never able to get to those. Rt.A1A,along the beachs' commercial district, was active in the evening and at a shopping center up A1A,the lot was full of cruise cars and across the street in an open underground garage was 'Orlando Rat Pack',all chevy big block 'doorslammers'. They fired up and cruised on A1A. A month later,we went to Daytona for the 'Turkey Rod Run'. At the tracks' infield was some national vendors,a swap meet(huge),car corral(could be 50% of the infield) and show cars. Also was the unofficial activities. We were planning on the dream cruise this year, but Cedar Points' last few weekends took precident. We're going for the Turkey Rod Run,Thursday we'll do a couple local cruise-ins(their good car weather is just starting),Friday-Universal Islands of Adventure,Saturday-the Turkey Rod Run at the racetrack. Hope to get in also 'Coyote Ugly' in YBor(Tampa) and 'Cowboys'(country bar) in Orlando.
  13. Anybody from Columbus Racing heading down to there Nov 25-28 ? 01SLPSS & I are heading down there. We were there in 2008. Largest car corral I've even seen. http://www.turkeyrun.com/Turkey_Run_Home.html
  14. how good is the columbus(expo cntr) gun show ? might drive down from cleveland on sat for it,not looking to buy or sell, just go to a different gun show. the shows in the cleveland area are good and the circuit will be in Niles this weekend so a Columbus show would have different dealers and privateers than what I'm used to seeing.
  15. investigative report 'Remington Under Fire' 9 PM.

  17. 700 ADL 30-06 sold at Euclid gun show Sunday,BOTH GUNS NOW SOLD.
  18. S&W CS9,CS40,CS45 are rarely seen at dealers and gunshows. Just gotta watch out for them and be able to recognize them. Used ones, because of their rarity/uniqueness sell for about same price as a new one, typically about $550.
  19. S&W CS40 Chiefs Special,small and virtually unknown,not even listed in S&W catalogs. do a google search for S&W CS9,CS40,CS45.
  20. Good accomplishment ! Since Columbus is centrally located in Ohio and OHIO LSX tries to and does schedule some of its' events in the Columbus area so that most statewide OHIO LSX members can participate, this is a step forward for OHIO LSX.
  21. 700 BDL 17Rem sold last saturday at Medina gun show.
  22. you don't state what the rear gears are. the lca re-los and BFGs' are helping traction, the 3500 is hurting traction. what shocks are you running in the rear ?
  23. Nice ! Have seen the 'old school carburated' FZ1s going for much higher. If I hadn't bought a 2009 FZ6 in May,I'd be jumping on it.
  24. Buy both ! neither one I no longer have(owned both at a similar time period),and enjoyed both of them. the 38/357 compatability was great for light target loads, never encountered the myth of 38s' not accurate because of the extra jump to engage lands. 44M was a pleasure to shoot, even with hot handloads. If I had to choose,I couldn't,I appreciated and enjoyed both.
