Transaction complete,he's on his way home. I'll let him describe it ! I'm without a bike now,but hope to eventually get back into it even though I'm 70. My first bike in 1971 was a Honda 2 cyl 350, many camping trips to the Allegany park in PA. Second bike in 1975 was a Honda CB550 4 cyl. Third bike was a 1980 Suzuki 750E,tremendous low end torque, raced it at Dragway42,it was rated as 12.5-12.3,I managed to get it into the 11.90s'. Had it for 25 years. The fourth was the now gone Yamaha FZ6,incredibly light, agile and comfortable but torque and horsepower occurred too high for me,it was the fastest bike I ever had. When I get back into it,the Harley street 750 would probably be it,more low end power for my type of use. Do I have to change my screen name now ?

Just got done with a few errands, stopped in where I bank and there will be two notarys there tomorrow afternoon.
-
Dug out the title and battery receipt(March of 2016 from State8),got both keys. I'll PM you.

Replying to Tonik,OK. Bike doesn't have plate registration. I work mornings for a couple hours Friday and Saturday, typically out of there 10-11. What is your preference for time of day

I looked at KBB. Its' trade in value is 2740 good condition. trade in value would always be more than outright sale to dealer as a trade in they're making money on the bike you're trading it in for. The KBB site page stated the average expected mileage for that year and size would/should be 21,150 miles and that condition is more important than mileage. So with the condition and mileage of only 476, $2700 will get it !!! Low enough ?

I agree,I'd rather get it to someone here than to State8. But I disagree with the State8....Fuck them. They are a business and businesses operate to make money/profit,keeps them in business. I go back to the 60s'/70s' and there were a LOT of cycle dealers. I remember Rick Case Motorcycles on East 200th back in the 70s'. Many have gone out of business or taken over and absorbed by other dealers. Too many was bad but having a few left are necessary for competitive pricing. So what would the Kelly Blue Book trade in value be for that condition and mileage ?

Since there seems to be some interest because of the big price drop,I'll let this run for a week before I State8 it.
-
Since I want it gone, gonna offer it to State8 where I bought it and since they have to make money on the acquisition/resale,they're not gonna offer much for it. The last price I had it here for was $4000,dropping it to $3000 before it goes to State8.
-
Open to offers,it's just sitting in the garage and gets started occasionally. Gonna be too busy to use/ride it. Warm weather priorities are the Camaro Z28,firearms/range time, and amusement park rollercoasters(Cedar Point).
-
Since motorcycle season is fast approaching, bringing the ad to the top with a lower price of $4000.

That's my bike in post #1. Just joined, been 'lurking' here as a guest for quite a while, since it was posted for me I figure it would be proper to actually join. I'm 69,retired,been biking since 1971. Always orientals,1971 Honda CL350,then 1974 Honda CB550,then 1980 Suzuki 750E. Had the 750 for about 25 years. Don't intend to leave motorcycling for forever, just too much else currently occupies my time. My 98 Camaro Z28,do a lot of travelling with it,firearms & reloading, enjoy going to the range and paper-punching. It's also listed on Cleveland Racing and Columbus Racing. I've added this to those sites' threads. "Since there hasn't been any interest,I am open to offers. Don't need to sell it,but since I don't use it much,be good to pass it on to someone that would ACTUALLY use it." Hope it was OK to also use this post as an 'intro'.

No,only on Columbus Racing and Cleveland Racing.

Don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. Bought it May 2010 at State 8. 476 miles on it in 6 riding seasons. New battery from State 8 this spring. Tires and rims could use a washing from gathering dust in the garage. Average price on cycletrader for 2009 FZ6/FZ6R(7 bikes) is $4500 and their odometer range is 2400-20,000 miles. 2015 at State 8 is $6588,2016 at State 8 is 7588. Rode it about a month ago, runs great. Because of the only 476 miles I'll go $4500. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/2009%20FZ6/DSC_0286%20AampCampA%20S_zpswaj4fdfu.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/2009%20FZ6/DSC_0284%20AampCampA%20S_zps5j8b3g4y.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/2009%20FZ6/DSC_0285%20AampCampA%20S_zpsovtunm9z.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/2009%20FZ6/DSC_0283%20AampCampA%20S_zps82xpav30.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh254/oldmanZ28/2009%20FZ6/DSC_0282%20AampCampA%20S_zps1issgetg.jpg

Malibu(chevelle)1964-1983,the 7.5 rear had 26 spline setup.

Driven the 77/26/95/4 route now 14 times. Never hit stop & go traffic in Charleston WV,but speed is reduced with a large police/radar presence. Virginia is nice, pay attention to I77 signage. NC is good, never had a problem around lake Norman. Never had a problem at Charlotte, but never driven it in rush hour traffic. Thru SC is a long drive,77 ends at Columbia and 26 takes over east to 95. Georgia's OK. 95 thru Jacksonville is OK depending on time of day. Catch 4 around Daytona and directly to Disney. 4 sometimes gets busy. Only once in northern WV on the way back, had to spend the night in a rest area due to undriveable fog. I've done the 75 once.

They lose their college help starting Aug 24. Mon Aug 24 thru Thurs Aug 27 and Mon Aug 31 thru Thurs Sept 3 have reduced hours to 8pm only. Provides for some of the shortest ride lines of the season. Depending on weather, sometimes the park is 'deserted' and TTD,MF,and Mav have no lines and walk up to the platform and pick your seat. We use those days for hitting Cedar Point,Kings Island,Carowinds(Charlotte),and Six Flags New Jersey. a cedar point forum, http://pointbuzz.com/Forums

The 41Magnum is having a resurgence of popularity, previously failed because of the 'Dirty Harry 44 Magnum. The S&W M57,M58,M657 are desireable. http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-revolvers-1961-1980/385798-1964-2014-41-magnum.html

what do you consider 'long range' ?

that Howa package is great looking !

When I was looking to buy a 223 bolt action,Remington,Howa, and Savage were my three choices. I ended up with a savage. Remington has a 1:12 inch twist barrel. Howa catalog shows a 1:12 inch twist barrel, your link indicates a 1:10 inch twist barrel. Savage has a 1:9 inch twist barrel. I was planning on heavier bullets (62,69,77),so I went with Savage. If I was gonna be staying in the 55-62 range,I probably would've went with Remington or Howa.
