Well the BMW Advantec certainly is JASO MA2 rated. My guess is that BMW just rebrands one of the other oils on that list and sells it as their own....with a Huge margin added of course!
Interesting that BMW Advantec is not on this list. Nor does it list Liqui-Moly 4t Racing 5W-40 which i just ordered. My Teutonic Tank requires JASO MA2 5W-40 ONLY. Not a lot of options!
I tried those. Wont stay in ear, very difficult to get helmet on without ripping them out. Very uncomfortable with stiff wire pressing on your head, much more expensive, heavier, dont isolate as well, but they DO sound good!
Highly disagree. If you use isolating earbuds that cut the wind noise as good as earplugs, then you can keep the music volume down. These are the best ive found: http://www.etymotic.com/consumer/earphones/mc5.html
You'll want to do Newfoundland in early summer to catch the icebergs. And dont miss Gros Morne park. On my bucket list is the TLH. Keep that bucket growing, it keeps ya living!!! :-)
Welcome. Another GSA here (2015). I do long days, but I try not to ride at night. Between deer, other people, and my own poor night vision (thank you LASIK) I find the risk too high! Next time you're in Maine, continue up to Newfoundland...thats an awesome trip! Do you take that BMW off road at all? Ride safe!
Ignorant me....I do not understand "drop center"! Guessing you mean the delta between rim OD and central rim ID??? Is this typically smaller (less difference) on BMW rims?
ADV tires tend to be stiffer than ST tires, and the rim is narrower so that doesnt help. Add wheel spokes/mounts that stick out the sides more than a mag wheel, and it makes it harder to get your spoon/tool in there for prying!
These people have to be f'd up, if they are same ones cleaning up the mess! I mean, if she cant get out of bed, imagine what it must be like going spelunking for cleanup duty!!!! And its not like you can bring a pressure washer into the bedroom!
Yep...but i'd still need special adapters to mate to the hubless rims.! And you might need a bit more than this to change ADV tires..they are stiff and a major PITA.
I'm still using the dealer for the rear tires. Why? My last 3 bikes have been Single sided swingarm/hubless rims (VFRs and BMW shaft drive). Makes it very difficult to balance without proper tools.
