  4. likewise, i imagine Valentino could take any one on this list around any track on a beat-up old Honda Rebel!
  5. The problem with these bikes, so i hear, is the huge amount of rotating engine mass. Any change in RPM tosses the bike side to side! Also, the older bikes had a distributor cap sitting literally at your crotch! Imagine getting zapped in the nutz at speed!
  6. In that case, might as well get a Boss Hoss 502!
  7. Dont think you can go wrong with the WR. You might want more power eventually, but its still a hoot. People regularly farkle them up for the long haul....like these folks.. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/terradrifting-around-the-world-on-a-wr250r.1197904/
  8. I've only been able to ride my WR250R a few times since buying it in February. Super fun to toss this little (<300 lb) bike around. Every motion is a tenth of what is needed on my GS (except for throttle!)
  9. At least they shaved a few pounds off the 750 Street rod.
  10. Yeah..its unreal how heavy that 883 is. I mean that is the bottom of the barrel, designed for beginners and small women.

  12. Negative...that was an 1150GS..older model.
  13. The 883 actually weighs more than my R1200GSA (dry)!!!!
  14. "Bike(s): 09 FJR1300 (his) 12 XL883L (hers)" ....why do you make "her" ride the heavier bike????!?
  15. Just put a battery in my old '97 Honda Fourtrax 300 quad after it hadn't been started in 2.5 years. Engine turned like 4 times and then it purred like a kitten. Just cant kill it!
  16. I was there! Syd always hosts a great event. Sadly we missed it last year because we did the Horizons Unlimited meeting in North Carolina.
  17. My wife says im an animal....this explains a lot!
  18. I just put Liqui-Moly from The boneyard in my GSA...shifting feels smoother than ever. Definitely saved a few $ over BMW branded stuff.
  19. Always been happy with Metzelers. Ran thru many Tourance on my GS, and ST tires on the FJR/VFR. Conversely, I hate Bridgestones. YMMV!
  20. Have you heard of the MSTA club? There's a sizeable group out of Michigan. http://ridemsta.com/srblog/ I plan to attend their annual rally in Colorado Springs this summer.
  21. U prob got a better pic than I did with Videopass!....keeps locking up on me! Sunzabiches.
