Oh yeah, CR19 the one one the right....not the thru one at the 90* corner. You'll turn right and cross a coupla bridges....then use THAT CR19....just remember to pipe the folks sitting on the deck.....ya gotta keep the citizens on edge. I get blamed for all the bike traffic headed up Spring Mtn way...so may as well have y'all ice the cake. Smiles.

Smiling here...first- I am able to get on bd again.... Second. Smiling as I have been guiding folks around the SR60 road closed all morning.....great fun being the do gooder. Long time ago I posted the back way up to Spring Mtn and down the other side into Warsaw. Which is....take 60 south from USR62 and find Layland, little town on CR19....run 19 up into Spring Mtn. (Several houses and that's about it) pick up CR22 and down the hill to Warsaw...prolee 12 miles of great back road. Other way around is, coming from the Metro Killbuck area-just follow SR60 to the road closed 500 feet sign....you'll see the bridge and barricades there. Turn left on CR24 and enjoy. Be careful of the dbl apex corners....smiled as a Harley managed to drift into the other lane at 35mph.....so take 24 until you get to CR28 (?)....you will come upon a crossroads sign....y'all know the plus sign sign....that'd be the road to turn right on and that brings you back to 36. Left is Coshocton, right takes ya to Warsaw. Found a cruiser, makes more sense following wife's cruiser on it than riding the sportbike. More grins as I manage to drag heel on the cruiser.....guess I need to lift my feet off the pegs when going thru turns.... Great fun, smiling away....

Oft talked about with us folks in the hills....cost savings is in question. Get the kit and 80% lower and a few trappings, you soon have the cost of simply buying one new gun and filing the required paperwork. In the interest of not having to file paperwork....uhmmm, Ares ( http://aresarmor.com/store/News) and another (I can't remember the name) (http://www.conservativefiringline.com/cal-gun-shop-center-battle-batf-client-files/ & https://www.facebook.com/tacticalmachining) are under Feds scrutiny and the Feds want their customer list of who bought the 80% lowers. Ares purportedly had dimples in the blank, yet to be finished lower....and that so the story went, made them BAD boys, and big brother wants names. Better would be to buy a lil' mill and drill press combo and just carve out everything yerself and avoid any customer purchase trail. Like a Little Machine Shop Nano Mill and conversion kit, Lathe to Mill and Drill....and then the tools to machine metal.....the cost factor enters in.... Brownells has a DPMS "sport rifle kit" minus the lower and sights for $499. An 80% can run from 80 bucks to $129. Then ya gotta drill and hog out metal. Simple ride this afternoon, over to Loudonville and up thru Millersburg. Noticed all the folks with yard sales, flowers out, fruit and veggie stands....in Mlbg and see a tent set up and a black rifle set up with bi-pod stand.....wheel in, see sign AR15, Ammo. So here are various AR's, yer basic to match grade carbine. Prices not cheap, but not top end...match grade a thou and some few bucks more. Ammo, 556 at 55 grain, 50 rounds for $25. I love this county!

Yup, road is open...at least until the next project.

This afternoon, out and about and see that the barricades announcing 62 closed x-miles ahead are moved to the shoulder and turned away ... So 62 maybe reopened near Danville.....not headed that way today. If you are in Danville and don't see the barricade up...looks like okie dokie.

SR60 north outa Killbuck, another temp closing for culvert replacement. I may have reported it earlier and elsewhere....note that they have changed the signage. Closing JUNE 23 for 5 days. Sign used to say closing 8/5.

I wondered.....saw 514, 520 routes posted somewhere.....sitting here in living room waiting to hear the bikes roaring in the foothills down below my scenic overlook....thus alerting me to your arrival in the area. Momma's home now and we iz headed out on our own.

All is right with the world.bike will be fixed. I am opting to replace damaged items. Switching out pcs/partz and not repairing.my choice. Biggest aggravation was the dent in the gas tank...very expensive. It was like half of the total bill. Just one of the Aaaaaarrrrggggh, kinda things in life.

Ride bike in to work and then...left at 1:30AM....took 229 outa Mt. Vernon, until it connects with 36....piped the Fox Den, figured working girls still there...thought about 206, but dark and looking for deer. Because I was watching for deer I stayed on 36 to Warsaw and then 60 north to Killbuckia and USR62....no problems, no traffic and just dark with a bumper crop (get it?) of raccoons zipping to and for in the 36 to 40 mile run. So there is a way around paving and road closed.

This morning had....a barricade moved into the traffic lane near Brinkhaven....and the road closed signs by project moved to right at the hidden Twp Rd....so if you are parking brake drift turning for that dropping Twp Rd., you could clip the barricades with yer right rear quarter panel. Smiling....

Insurance guy left.....his estimate was more than my local shop! Within $90.00 of totaling the bike!!!!! Wow! He said salvage value was $900. They get from wrecking yard (my term). I'm thinking of striking up a friendship with our local insurance agents.....if they are only $900.00 for the cosmetic damage I had from salvage dealer.....I'll be looking to buy a bunch of "totaled" blackbirds for that amount!

Another really late plug for trailering....smiling as I say it.....being in a gas station in Ky and listening to your key outa the bike tumble down thru the body work and into the dark nether regions of....well, the only key and try finding it in the early twilight. Miles and miles from home...even if you had a duplicate key resting in/at the home place. Welcome back home.

Thanks all. Just a sick feeling walking out and seeing it laying there. Aforementioned price included them doing the work. Stopped on at shop and said replace everything that got damaged and lemme know how much. Didn't expect that much.

Oops ..... Slid past the Twp Rd 5 this AM....smiled....backed up and down the slope I went. Road ain't holdin up to well....always see the Yoder Toter going the opposite direction each time.

Pulled the red bird outa the garage decided to ride to work, in drive idling and I go back into house to get my gear....upon returning I find ole red down on itz side. Finding a guy to help I pick it up and see scuffed panels where they used to be pristine. The rest of the story is...ride in and the water jug in my back pack was gone at work...back pack unzipped itself and my water is now roadside trash .... Somewhere....then at work I got to sit in a crowded tornado shelter for 1 and a half hours ....remind me to take a folding chair next time.... Upshot of this? Simple fall over and replacement pcs/parts at $2700 and a few more bucks with change too. Insurance is sending their appraiser out. Dent in tank....half of cost on pcs is the gas tank. The guy at shop exclaimed....that is the MOST expensive gas tank I have ever priced. So how iz yer day?
