  1. Honestly.. I'm not totally sure myself, but the manager I talked to said my balance was fine. He said the reason for the low transfer balance is because someone deposited a $1766 check into my account and it has a float on it for a few days, but I have no clue where the check would have come from. Just have to wait a couple days and see what the deal is.
  2. The thing is, even without the deposit my account is still ~$1400 short for no reason.. Thanks for all the help ..except Jon graemlins/finger.gif
  3. How long did it take to get your money back? I've been hearing a few weeks, but I don't know how I'm going to manage that..
  4. Basically, My checking account somehow is $1766 short when I check it online (Fifth Third), leaving me with a large negative balance. Of course this has to happen on a Sunday when there's no customer service. When I call the automated system it says my balance is the correct amount, and there were no transactions since Friday (also correct), but my withdrawl balance is the incorrect amount. What are the chances of this just being a computer error? IF it turns out my number got stolen, how long does it normally take to get my money back and will I have to raise hell to avoid overdraw fees?

  9. This is Mallard posting on Morgan's computer. Here's a complete description. I can get some new pics of it tomorrow because I plan on pulling it out of the garage in the afternoon. I'll even include my riding jacket. I have $4200 invested in the bike and parts. Asking $3400 OBO This is a 1994 ZX9R with a full Muzzy enhaust and a jet kit that I bought at the beginning of last summer. The bike needs some work and I was attempting to do it on my own. However, I do not have the time to complete this project. The previous owner dropped the bike, patched the faring and repainted the entire bike with a yellow spray can. I'll be honest, this paint job sucks. I did not like the way it looked so I started buying used bodywork with matching stock colors. (Pearl White, Purple and Green) I have a complete tail section with integrated turn signals, left faring, upper faring and gas tank all in good condition. I also have a tank bra that matchs the stock paint scheme. (Second Look I think). I also have a second set of wheels that I stripped and started sanding/polishing. At this point the wheels have been stripped and I started sanding them down. The buy price gets you: 94 ZX9R w/ yellow body work pictured with a Full Muzzy Exhaust and Jet Kit, Stock painted: Left Faring, Upper Faring, Tail Section, Gas Tank, Matching Second Look tank bra, Second set of wheels prepped for polishing, second set of rotors (used), and the Factory Service Manual and a color Hanes manual. I can take more pictures this weekend. If you want to see anything specific please e-mail me at Mallard1055@hotmail.com Condition: When the previous owner dropped the bike he damaged the left faring and the upper faring (on the left side). He fixed these poorly but are complete. The handle bar took the brunt of the fall and the force cracked the top yoke of the triple tree. The crack is not growing so it's not in any immenent danger of breaking but I have a new/used triple clamp ready to go on. I was going to replace this when I did the fork seals, but I just don't have time. The fork seals need to be replaced. I have all the parts needed and they are included. The clutch is new. I just replaced it with a kevlar unit. Second gear will not engage properly. This is a bent shift fork (a common problem on Kawasaki's) and I have not had time to deal with this problem. There are no gears grinding, it just pops out of second. When this happened I just skip shifted from 1 to 3. The front tire is new (Bridgestone) and the rear needs to be replaced. (It's a Dunlop at the moment) Engine runs great, and sounds great with the Muzzy! Pictures can be found at: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288342613

  14. there's a decent amount of stuff out there you can do, check out www.audiworld.com if you haven't already.. smile.gif
  15. you guys have no faith in me! graemlins/slap.gif when the stereo is off and the key is in the "on" position just press 5 and you will hear a beep. thats all, no menus or anything.. its called Demo mode or something. press 5 once again to turn it back on (i don't know why you woudl want to). its at the VERY beginning of the manual in case you want to look it up yourself, i believe right after the table of contents.
  16. i've turned mine off on all of my pioneers (7300, premier 640).. i'll look it up and let you know tommorow. i am 100% sure of this because everytime i disconnect/reconnect my battery its one of the first things i do along with turning on the dimmer!
  17. you can turn it off.. i forget how but it says in the manual. look for information about the screen saver
  18. well if you wouldn't have cut my sentence in half you would have had your answer.. like i said before, you would want narrower winter tires probably on separate rims anyway, so it wouldn't be difficult at all to find tires that would work. just keep the outside diameter close to stock to avoid speedo discrepencies and all is good. running 275 wide winter tires is just pointless anyway. regardless, i'm done bringing this back up to the top.. he's not looking for winter tires, if you are then do some research on your own.
  19. for the snow the obvious choice would be winter/snow tires. and there are plenty of winter tires available for his car because it would be better to run a narrower tire with the same diameter in the snow. but anyways, if he was looking for a winter set-up he wouldn't have been looking at the Kuhmo's, Eagle F1s, or factory Z06 tires anyway so thats besides the point. the point i was trying to make was that the Dunlops are not good in the snow (especially after getting worn down a bit), and i don't want someone to buy them based on tire racks review and expect a lot more (which is what i did with the 240). in regards to the original post i've heard good things about the Dunlop SP8000s, and they seem to be priced pretty well.
  20. i highly disagree! even on my 240 they were horrible in the snow.. In the rain they're pretty good and dry they're better than most all seasons. i'm currently running FM901s on the 240 and it made me realize what kind of dry/wet traction i was missing out on by using all-seasons, however. i also have these on my A4 in a more aggressive thread pattern due to being a lower profile (50 compared to 60 series). i expected them to at least be decent in the snow being on a heavier car with AWD (for handling), and ABS. no they are just as bad.. again, in the dry and rain they work great though especially for the price, but i would never say someone should use these in the snow if they had a choice.. my review might change once i try the A4 out in heavier snowfall but even with traces of snow the car slid all over the place.
  21. well the owner before me used Mobile one tranny fluid.. and from doing a bit of research i found out that we are only supposed to use the Audi dealer supplied fluid (mineral based??) in our tiptronic trannys. Our trannys are supposedly sealed units but a lot of people change the fluid around my mileage anyway and it helps quite a bit (60k). i'm just trying to figure out what kind of damage (if any) having the mobile one fluid fluid in there will cause. i am already planning on getting the fluid replaced at the dealer in a few months but i was just looking for some reassurance that i wasn't hurting my tranny till then. the fluid has already been in there for about 2k miles and it shifts/drives perfectly fine. new trannys are ridiculously $$$ installed so i want to be sure i'm not doing any permanent damage. i think i'll call the dealer tommorow but i'm pretty sure i know what they'll say..
  22. I have a question regarding the tranny fluid that the previous owner used in my Tiptronic transmission. If you could respond here or IM me that would be great, thanks. Morgan AIM: Morgan1774

    240 sx

yea just get rid of the damper, its what most 240 people do when they install new slave/master cylinders.. i spent a good amount of time trying to bleed my system with it in place with no luck, once i took it out i had the system bled in 5 minutes. might want to look into getting a new slave cylinder if the bleed valve on it is stuck, they aren't that expensive.
  24. we should all get together sometime
