  1. Did you post this on Corral or Stangnet or the like? If not, there are a couple guys on here who can help you (Rob, Brian, etc.)... smile.gif
  2. Thanks guys! I gave all of this info to him. We'll see what happens... smile.gif
  3. Thanks for the help, Rob. smile.gif It does turn over, it just won't start again. Almost like it's flooded.
  4. My boss here at work is having a problem with his 92 Ford Van, V8, fuel injected. He said it will start fine and runs well. He can drive it to the store or whatever, but after shutting it off, it will not start back up. Any ideas?
  5. No, it's Adam Daron's old cam. He finally admitted that he can't drive a fast car and sold some parts off of his Trans Am...
  6. C1 cam, that's what I have now. Very nice lope to it, but I almost wish I would have gone bigger, just because I could...
  7. I'll be at Norwalk next Friday. Other that that, I'm not sure when I'll be out again... smile.gif
  8. Move me up if you like, my new numbers are 380/381...
  9. LOL, wait until NitrousBird reads this thread. He'll tell you why to buy an LT1...
  10. OK, the tranny in my Probe really started slipping bad this week. The 1-2 shift is decent, the 2-3 is really bad, and the 3-4 isn't so good either. I'm hoping it just needs a rebuild, but it could be worse. Can anyone recommend a good, honest shop for me to take my car too? It is my daily driver, so I don't want to spend a ton of money on it either... smile.gif
  11. It's not an OHC motor, it has pushrods. smile.gif Thanks for the info guys, I'll take it somewhere to have it checked out...
  12. I seem to be losing coolant in my 1991 Ford Probe LX with the 3.0 V6. If I remember corretly, Ford did have problems with the head gaskets on the early 3.0 and 3.8 engines. I'm pretty sure I'm not leaking it anywhere (no pools underneath the car), so I'm thinking possible head gasket? Basically I want to know all ways I can lose coolant out of my engine. I'm thinking there are only two; it leaks out or you burn it. If I am indeed burning it, I'm not noticing any discoloration of the exhaust (which would indicate burning coolant), but who knows. So if it is indeed a head gasket, what are the dangers of driving with a bad one? I'm guessing as long as I keep an eye on how much coolant is in there (basically enough so that I don't overheat), I'll be fine for a while. Changing the head gasket(s) in my daily driver is not something I want to attempt right now. Any thoughts on why I might be losing coolant, how I can tell which way I am losing it, a solution and/or if I'm still OK to drive the car as is? How hard is it to change out the gaskets?

  14. I run RP in the Formula and it owns you, Chris. There is your answer...
  15. Yeah, good call. Time to pull that wheel off and look at it. Thanks. smile.gif Anybody else?
  16. A few months ago when we had some fresh snow on the ground, Dani missed a right turn and hit a curb with the car. She wasn't going too fast, but she did bend the rim and throw the alignment out of whack. I got a new rim, the alignment fixed, but then there was a nasty vibration in the front from about 55 MPH up through 80 MPH. At that 80, it would all go away. No problem, I used to sell and mount tires at Sam's Club, sounds like they need balancing. The tires needed replacing anyway, so I had Firestone put on 4 new tires yesterday. Now driving to work today, the vibration is gone and it rides pretty smooth. However, there is still this noise I can hear coming from the right front part of the car. It was there before, but there was so much other noise and vibration going on, I really couldn't pinpoint one noise from another. I can hear it at all speeds, kind of like something is rubbing. I know it's hard to explain the sound here, but I know it's not the brakes. Anyone have any idea what it might be, what may still be screwed up under there?
  17. Well, I actually have 3, but I don't count my shifter as a power adding mod. I believe only the R----- do that. It's no big deal, I have a hard time convincing people of that all the time...
  18. Tell him to get on www.ls1.com or www.ls1tech.com and just start reading. You will learn everything you need to know right there. Like how to make your LS1 a 12 second car with just 2 mods...
  19. I'd be all over the BBB for that one. That ain't cool in my book. If they need to test drive it for whatever reason, they should ask you to go along. Assholes...
  20. I hope that wasn't an offer, Kenny...
