    what the fuck??

Maybe from your perspective. From ours, it's called family and other priorities. I have a kid and a wife that need my attention. That's takes priority over anything else. If you aren't in that situation, you don't understand. Don't forget, us married people have already done what you have. We've been single and done the party thing. Most of you single people haven't been where we are now, so you don't have that perspective. As Shawn said, it's called growing up...
  3. Probably another Mountaineer. This one much newer. There's nothing wrong with my old one, the wife just wants a newer (than the Mountaineer), smaller (than the Navigator) SUV. We had great luck with it and it's easy for my dogs to get in and out of, so that's probably what we'll get...
  4. Come on, you're a baller. You can afford it...
  5. I'm selling my Mountaineer and my Navigator to make room for another SUV. I've decided that I don't need both, so they are both up for sale to make room for something else. It's in great condition and runs perfect. Brakes were just done, as well as new ball joints, and the tires are fairly new. White exterior, graphite leather interior, 5.0L V8, AC, power seats, lumbar, CD player, driver and passenger airbags, ABS, AWD, luggage rack, and tow package. Mileage is 87,000, which is low for a vehicle of this year. I'm asking $5700 for it. I found a very similar 1997 Mountaineer (same mileage and color, actually) on Autotrader for $6990, so I think this price is more than fair. More pictures are located here. Any questions, just PM me. http://www.wease.net/Mountaineer/M1.JPG
  6. I'm selling my Navigator and my Mountaineer to make room for another SUV. I've decided that I don't need both, so they are both up for sale to make room for something else. It's in excellent condition, runs perfect and needs nothing. Brakes were just done, tires are about new, and the air suspension was just serviced. Seats 8 comfortably with the optional bench seat. Red exterior, grey leather interior, 5.4L V8, climate control, trip computer, power seats, heated/AC seats, adjustable pedals, memory seats/pedals, 6 disc CD changer, driver and passenger airbags, ABS, AWD/4WD (Goes into AWD if it feels the rear tires slip, but also has 4H and 4L), bench seat, luggage rack, and tow package. Mileage is at 92,000, but that's mostly highway, as I only typically used it for vacations across the country. I'm asking $11,800 for it. A comprable 2000 Navigator is at Bobby Layman for $17,685, so I think this price is more than fair. More pictures are located here. Any questions, just PM me. http://www.wease.net/Navigator/N1.JPG

  8. Same here. To keep my standard of living I have here in Ohio, I'd need over twice the money I make now to live in San Jose. Here is a good Cost Of Living caluculator to give you an idea of what it's like out there. Enjoy...
  9. Don't know shit about them, but there is a red one for sale on Glick Rd. over by Muirfield. Drove past it the other day. Looked to be in decent shape...

    OSU vs. UM

I agree about not getting ahead of ourselves. Fortunately for us, Mr. Tressel preaches that and keeps the team focused for the game at hand, not one weeks or months from now...

    OSU vs. UM

A farmer outside of Ann Arbor was working his cattle one day when he heard faint music coming from nearby. After hunting about for a time, he discovered the sound was loudest near one particular calf, and was even louder near the calf's tail. Putting his head close to the calf's hind end, he heard the University of Michigan's fight song. Amazed, he put the calf in the truck and drove the animal to a vet in Ann Arbor. When the vet asked him what was going on, the farmer told him. The vet went around behind the calf and gave a listen. He casually agreed he heard the University of Michigan's fight song but didn't seem particularly excited. "Man, this is unbelievable! How can you stand there and not be amazed?" the farmer asked. The vet, a third generation Ohio State University graduate, said, "Hell, Bud, I'm a Buckeye and I've been listening to assholes sing that song my whole life."
  12. Let me just follow up my comment with something else. It is no C5/C6, but it's better than most any other Mustang out there, and a lot of other cars on the road. It's also much better than my 2000 Formula was. But let's be honest, I really don't care about the twistys...
  13. Wet noodle chassis? Umm, the car has an IRS, Bilstein shocks, and is built to handle. Most people just happen to drag race them...
  14. That's because you are a baller...
  15. That sucks, Bill. Good luck getting that fixed...
  16. I agree. But at 80, you are that guy standing out from the crowd, doing 5 - 10 over what the crowd is doing. And as far as the law is concerned, that's 15 MPH over. I normally travel 8-9 over. And pass probably 90% of cars doing this. I do get passed on occasion and that's fine. I've adjusted my traveling plans and timetables according to that 8-9 over...
  17. Yeah, his name is Anthony and he's on this board...
  18. Now, I have had two speeding tickets since I've been driving. 70 in a 55 (in my Dodge Omni when I was 19, like 70 in that car was possible ) and 88 in a 65 in my Formula four years ago. But, as you can see, I wasn't following my rule. The first ticket, I was a stupid 19 year old kid. The second, I was late for an appointment with my wife (picking up our wedding rings, actually) and decided to push the issue. I got caught. Now, the only time I travel faster than that is the odd street race. But in my part of town, the BMW's, Lexus, and Mercedes don't do that too often, so it's a rare occurence...
  19. NOT speed? WTF? I mean, not speed excessively so that you get caught? Let me give you folks who have a lead foot some advice from a guy who knows a lot of cops: 10 over. Don't go anymore than 10 over, unless you are going through some little backwoods, BFE Ohio shithole. Then no more than 5 over. It's not that hard to go that "slow". I haven't had a speeding ticket in nearly 15 years of driving while following that simple rule. Anyone else not have a problem driving 10+ over?
