My old 94 Z28 went a best of 13.1@106 with shorties, catback w/ cutout and a CAI up at Norwalk, and a best of 12.89@111 with a comp XE 224/230 cam and tune with 4.10's. It was certainly quick enough to compete with the LS1 cars, but an LS1 car will always be faster mod for mod. The gap really grows once you get into internals because the LS1/LS6 heads are VASLTY superior to LT1/LT4 heads and can really take advantage of cam changes even in stock-headed cars. The main problem IMO with the LT1 is that it is the bastard stepchild of small block Chevy's, only produced from 92-97. It was not widely used like the Gen III is in trucks and SUV's and was quickly replaced with the Gen III. The aftermarket support is non existant compared to what you can get with an LS1/LS6 or LS2. All the R&D money in the aftermarket is going to those motors, not the LT1. You're pretty much stuck with the same stuff that has been around since the late 90's if you go the LT1 route, while the Gen III aftermarket just keeps growing.

I think that chart is at least a little bit off since the Chinese undervalue their currency so much compared to the dollar. There's no way in hell the Russians could spend the same amount, or nearly the same amount, as the Chinese do on defense even if they wanted to.

I doubt you could find any soldier, sailor or marine serving in 1945, especially in the infantry, who would have preferred an amphibious assault on mainland Japan rather than dropping the atomic bomb, which was the only other option considering that the Japanese(those guys who attacked us and started the war, remember them?) refused to consider surrender after we destroyed their ability to actually win the war. They were going to hold out and kill as many Americans as possible until we dropped the bombs, and they wouldn't even surrender after the first one on Hiroshima! We gave them three days and then dropped another, war over, an estimated 500,000 GI's and several million Japanese get to live(based on causulty estimates for an invasion of the Japanese home islands)...sounds like a bargain to me. Why are people bitching about it now?

Nobody around here tunes the Nemesis AFAIK. You might be better off going with the AEM, there seems to be more people familar with the AEM hardware around C-bus vs. the Nemesis.

Fo 'sho, Seafoam is the shit. Good to see the before/after pics, that reinforces my suspicion. If you see it in person it doesn't look like flecks of melted aluminum from detonation, I've seen that before and the plugs will tell you what's happening long before you pull the head. The white stuff wasn't solid/metallic at all, it dissolves into dust when you rub it with a towel. The car was running rich as fuck for a long time, like 8:1 rich, in my totally non-professional opinion it looks like there was so much carbon build up on that piston that the crown of the build up turned white from the heat of combustion. There was a ton... seriously a fucking TON of carbon build up on those pistons. Anyway, the white shit is gone now and once you do the things neccessary to get it tuned to a decent AFR pay attention to your plugs. Silvery specks=bad, black soot=rich. Lean may be mean, but if you've gotta pick one extreme I'll take a really rich AFR every time. Carbon>holes.

#1 RB recruit I beleive, top 10 overall. I've seen a few of his games on ONN, its almost not fair for a guy that big to be that fast. Wells is enrolling early so he'll be there for spring practices and will be pushing for carries in the fall.
