I brought up Puritans as an example of a sect that believes in predestination. Most protestant sects don't.

The Puritans were big on predestination, but the protestant churches I'm familar with don't believe that. Predestination kinda kills the whole "born again" thing. If you're already going to hell why bother?
  3. Flowmasters suck even worse than other chambered/baffled mufflers for flow. Straight through is the way to go for power. I liked the edelbrock performer RPM's I had on my old camaro. They're a straight through design with steel packing. I had the smaller case 2.5" version(~7" X 3 1/2") and they were really quiet even though you can look right through them. My hooker cat back exiting out the rear was louder than two of those dumped before the axle. I think they only go up to 3" though, what diameter is your exhaust?
  4. A ticket is proper punishment for a parking violation. Hundreds of dollars in body damage is bullshit, don't tell me you wouldn't want to sue the bastards if that was your car.
  5. If my intercooler hoses get here before Sunday I'll be there.
  6. Less ugly than the new GT, but still hideous. Retro graemlins/nonono.gif
  7. +1. I was actually surprised to see them run that fast after the last show with the Grand Nationals running 14's after a turbo swap. graemlins/nonono.gif
  8. It's the internet people. Take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard. on topic, nice to see some resolution to all the hostility on both sides. graemlins/thumb.gif
  9. Already got my downpipe and AEM wideband in, then I'm installing new springs/struts and a ct20b over winter break.
  10. No speed parts left, but I've got a ton of stock stuff laying around including a complete AC system with new lines.
  11. When I swapped the cam on my old 94 Z28 there was a drive on the back.
  12. Does anybody know what time they open for weekend test and tunes? Couldn't find it on their site.
  13. According to their website(nationaltrailraceway.com) there is a test and tune this sunday. They cancelled the one on the 14th but it looks like this week is still on. Hopefully they didn't cancel it, I want some stock numbers from my MR2 before I start modding it.
  14. I picked up an AEM wideband/gauge kit and a downpipe, but I need a hole drilled and the bung welded in. The downpipe is mild steel, not sure about the bung. Any ideas where I can get this done?

I'm cautiously optimistic. It was really nice to see the offense put some points on the board, but we were playing Indiana at home. He did play a hell of lot better than Zwick though. graemlins/thumb.gif
  16. $4100. I agree with you about the pricing, some people are asking ridiculous prices for these cars. Most of the ones I found were over $6K.
  17. It's a 91 MR2 turbo, dark greenish blue(not sure of the exact color name), black leather with t-tops. I got it from a judge in Pennslyvania. It came with service records dating back to 94, oil changes, tire rotations and everything. It's bone stock and runs/drives perfectly. Not nearly as fast as my old camaro but it's 10X more fun to drive. I had to drive it back in the rain last night so it's pretty dirty in these pics, but you get the general idea. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid143/pcfd71293d3d9fe52f76ddb2bbddd180c/f6948fd9.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid143/p10cb60240eec2fa00da51c2ae3945bf7/f6948fda.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid143/p45f38cdc7f9c1bbc140352427bd052a3/f6948fdc.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid143/p1f26a5b20ea43644f1fcd4f57dd53bf4/f6948fdb.jpg I'm new to imports, does anybody know where I can get aftermarket parts?
  18. +1 The first time COFBA went there we only had ~30 cars, mostly street cars, and they prepped the track like we were at a national event. Good people up there. graemlins/thumb.gif
  19. +1 We have two outstanding years and now everybody wants to panic when we lose a game to somebody like Northwestern. These are not the Buckeyes of the past two years. I think they'll get there, but you can't expect to lose as many senoirs as we have and mantain the level of play.
  20. I sheared 8 teeth off the ring gear and completey ruined the pinion gear shifting into second. The axles lived and are in my car right now though.
  21. If streetability is a concern you'd be taking a huge step backwards. To get 500 RWHP NA you're going to need a heads/cam combo that will give up plenty of streetability over your stock heads/LS6 cam. Cubes are great but the heads/cam selection makes the power, how much are ported LS1/6 castings or the new AFR's going for? You won't get anywhere near 500 RWHP without damn good heads. You'd have more than $5k in that build without even getting into the nitrous kit or any of the little stuff that all costs money. Built TH400's that can take that kind of power aren't cheap either. Like Joe said, if it was that easy everybody would have low 9 second street driven LS1's. If it were mine I'd keep the blower. You could throw the 406 in there, or better yet get a forged 346 rotating assembly with your aluminum block. Seems like a PITA to completely change directions when you've already got a strong FI setup.

  24. Civil war? You're out of your fucking mind. Who's going to fight it? The useless little pricks that gather at the G8 summits to protest with some college professors leading them?
