  1. Basically, yes. I can disassembled everything and have it welded no problem, I'm just concerned mostly with the reassembly since I don't have proper tools.
  2. BULLSHIT, I was just on CSCC campus this morning for class..
  3. I'm not so much worried about the welds, I just want the backlash and pinion depth set right so the ring gear doesn't eat itself alive and sound like i'm driving a wind up toy.
  4. I'm looking for a shop or someone that will weld my 6.5' diff and make sure the ring and pinion have the correct backlash when re-installed into the carrier. I could do it all myself, but I don't have the right tools to measure the pinion depth and backlash. The diff itself is very similar to a Ford 9', so it's nothing out of the ordinary. I understand the liabilities of welding my diff, but that's not my concern. I will sign papers and etc releasing whomever from responsibility if it's necessary. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/IMG_1022.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/IMG_1021.jpg
  5. Update 2/29/08 bottom of thread Update 3/8/08 2nd page Update 5/5/08 bottom 2nd page ---------- Well, I don't remember if I updated anyone with the replacement of my '86 Corolla but this is my 1980 Toyota Corolla. I had it shipped from Cali with an extremely rare Toyota 4 cyl 2TG motor(DOHC HEMI) stroked to 1.8l running about 10psi, full suspension, cage, fuel cell, etc and etc. Crunching some numbers the car weighs roughly 1700lbs with me IN IT, and made nearly 200hp/220tq to the rear wheels. It was a fucking riot to drive, however, I only got to drive it about 3 days last year before I spun a rod bearing from what I believe low oil pressure since it's common with these motors. I just got around to pulling the car apart to find a lot of things I'm very unsatisfied with, mainly the wiring and the clutter in the engine bay. SO, this will be the beginning of a new project.. I pulled the motor and pretty much decided I'm going to sell this motor since it's worth much more to some other people than me. Plus, I prefer to swap something more up to date that has a better aftermarket support, and really something I have more knowledge about. As I see it right now, I'm going to completely pull everything in the engine bay, relocate and hide the body harness, swap a Hi-comp redtop 4AG with minor mods, 4AG engine harness and ECU and call it a day. I'm very quirky about how things are done, so expect a very clean swap. http://a908.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/40/l_b284887fcce2df3b19517d05fddbed2b.jpg http://a175.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/29/l_0497be41aff223812f52edfdff19a626.jpg http://a34.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/43/l_8504720d00c20edb5379cdf7c78ad131.jpg http://a946.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/121/l_36650f5dd31f38cc514afa47d5134129.jpg http://a465.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/66/l_f403c4e25113ae9ff3c8a67ced5e62b8.jpg http://a65.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/96/l_7e9ba67805b67a364101d9b20aafeac8.jpg http://a715.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/5/l_cec8950126856c3457c5c131d8fac342.jpg http://a772.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/94/l_7f942c49b7577d0d74d069fdd7133ecb.jpg

  9. USPS is fucking expensive... prices are as follows: USPS > FedEX > DHL I always ship DHL since they have the best rates, include tracking numbers and to this date haven't had a problem with things getting to their destinations on time. Best place to go is DHL's store front office off Stelzer and 5th. I've shipped a transmission for around 90 dollars, and a whole set of wheels for around 45 dollars.
  10. A 7 second semi and you're not impressed?

  12. Compared to AT&T, it's horrible.. I switched from Tmobile. I haven't had any dropped calls, I haven't found a spot where I don't have service.. even all the way to Colorado traveling through Kansas where there is absolutely NOTHING, Customer services have been on point and very helpful with any questions I had, so far it's the best service I've had so far.
  13. Fujiyama will always be the best in town even though that place looks brokedick anymore. Last I hear Fuji was closing down too.
  14. I'm selling four 14x6.5 4x114.5 Panasport wheels with an unknown offset(I can find out offset if I really have to). These have been on my car since I bought it in September and will be sold with 185/60-14 Sumitomo tires. Two of the tires have roughly 45% tread, others have about 90%. All the wheels are straight and have no curbing or scratches as pictured. I have been a member of these forums for a long time so I have people who can vouch for me as a reputable person. I am asking 500 + Shipping, not necessarily firm on price but sold AS IS. I am Located in Columbus, OH and willing to ship at buyer's expense I accept pay-pal and can be contacted via email at TE7two@gmail.com Wheels are dirty, but you get the idea of condition. http://a379.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/36/l_e4c2ba7c8b2b8a8fd955bce90479cdb2.jpg http://a392.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/44/l_f5239519135d3fcaf71941963da231cf.jpg
