  1. Thanks man. Trying to put a combination together that I haven't seen before. Definitely have to grab a beer sometime for sure.
  2. Well, finally getting some new stuff going on the T/A. Ordered the Mecham Racing HFD wing for the Formula hatch I picked up this summer. Should be here in a couple weeks. Hope to get the Wings West front lip spoiler ordered tomorrow. Picked up a second front bumper to take the plunge and get started on the custom nose. http://www.zeppelinsreef.com/images/war_eagle/t-a-front-bumper.jpg Time to get busy.
  3. Got one. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/98-02-Pontica-Trans-Am-WS6-front-bumper-cover-/00/s/MzU4WDYwMA==/$T2eC16J,!ykE9s7twBh8BQ8i46t5Zg~~60_3.JPG
  4. Looking for an LS1 Trans Am front bumper cover to cut up. Can have minor damage. Anyone have one laying around? Thanks
  5. To me, the back end looks too much like a new Camaro. They must not have had anyone available on the Corvette team that knew how to draw a nice ass. With all of the real ones that seem to be seen around corvettes, you wouldn't think that would have been a problem. Not that I dont like the back of the Camaro, but I dont understand making it look so similar.
  6. Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but just wanted to pass on my experience. Went there for an oil change for my daughter's jeep. Mainly because they had a coupon for an oil change, lube, and tire rotation for $21.95, and I felt too lazy to do it myself. Well, of course, the first thing I got was a call about several things that they said needed replaced on the jeep. 3 out of 4 of the ball joints, and the front pinion seal. They could get right on it, of course, and the things were so bad they wouldn't drive the vehicle without replacing them. Told them to just do the oil change for now. Picked the jeep up, and brought it home. Jacked it up to check the ball joints and pinion seal myself. Pinion seal was leaking a little, and there WAS a little play in the ball joints. Nothing like what they were saying, but I am getting them replaced. And for $350 less than their estimate to do it. But here's my main beef. While I was under the car, I noticed, while checking the ball joints, that they did not grease ANYTHING. Upper ball joints have fittings, as do some other front steering parts. None were touched. Also, they did not rotate the tires. There was no evidence on any of the lug nuts that they had been removed. Then there was the oil plug. I noticed a drip of oil coming from the oil plug. I got a box wrench and, no shit, the oil plug was only snugged hand tight. I got a full turn out of the oil plug to tighten it up properly. Lesson learned. Definitely a shop to steer clear of.
  7. Clutch has been replaced. No, it doesn't want to move at all when I let out the clutch. It is frozen out of gear. Won't go in with the vehicle running or not. Thanks for the reply though man. I pulled the shifter and tried to pop the lever. Its stuck good.
  8. Was driving my daughter's '01 Jeep Wrangler. Was coming up to a red light, so I took it out of gear. Light turned green and when I went to put it in gear, it wouldn't go into any gear. Daughter has been sayiing it was occasionally doing the same, but she would mess with it for a second and it would go in. This time it wouldn't go anywhere. Feels real tight and won't move at all, but is not in gear. Checked the slave and it is full. Also, with the jeep started, when I put the clutch in, try and force it into second, and let the clutch out a bit, it starts to gring a little, like its just shy of being in a gear, but when I put the clutch back in it will not engage fully. Any ideas? Thanks guys Larry
  9. Put this here because I figured it was enough automotive related. Pickerington Central cheerleaders are having a car wash tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm. Location is the Sears on Rt 256 and Refugee Road. Its set back, next to the Krogers. Stop in and get your ride washed by some cuties, and help them raise cash for their upcoming cheer camp. Thanks in advance. (BTW, posting because my daughter is one of the coaches)
  10. A little bit, but no more than I would expect from a set of drop springs.
  11. I'm just going ahead and replacing all 3 with Brute joints, while I have the front shaft out. With as many miles on it as it has, its probably just a matter of time before the others would need attention anyway.
  12. Its nice when the problem jumps right out at you. Bad front u-joint. Looks like it has been that way for awhile. http://www.zeppelinsreef.com/images/jeep-ujoint.jpg
  13. The t-case drop was put in to compensate for the suspension lift. Wouldn't removing it make the angles worse?
  14. I think I am going to pull the front driveway tonight and take it for a drive to see if the vibration goes away. At least try to eliminate that possibility
  15. It had mud tires on it when we bought it. Those are off and new tires on. 31s. Didn't help. It already has the transfer case drop. Its not in the steering wheel. Its more a buzzing type vibration that starts in the floor. The front driveshaft IS a 2-piece. BTW, Jeep has 146,000 miles on it. Plan is to run it over to Trails West on Friday to have them take a look. Any good/bad comments about Trails West? EDIT: When I crawled under it last night I did notice that the seal on the front axle seems to be leaking a little. That is kind of steering me in the direction of the front driveshaft. Maybe the u-joints or that 2 piece area.
  16. Not sure if there are any 4 x 4 guys here, but I thought I'd ask. I have an '01 Wrangler with a 2 1/2" suspension lift and transfer case drop of 1". I have a vibration that comes in at about 45-50 mph and gets worse as the mph goes up. What is weird is that it seems to pulsate in, then pulsate out, then pulsate in again, then pulsate back out, and repeats. It is not a constant vibration. Any ideas? Thanks
  17. Thanks to Brandon and the guys at IPS. Got a set of LS7 lifters installed and an LS7 clutch kit while I was at it. No more squeak. Gotta get used to the new clutch now though.
  18. Picked this up, thinking that the Formula coupe and vert wings would be the same. Vert wing is a little wider. New from Mecham Racing its $385, plus $160 shipping. Yours for what I paid. $350. Pickup only. Here's a link to a pic http://www.mechamracing.com/d_images/fconvertside2L.jpg
  19. Ya, I was reading that yesterday. Probably the route I am going to take next. Who's got the best price, locally? I see them for $30-$40 on the web, but Advanced says $90.
  20. Congrats Mark. Very classy move giving the guy time to get things sorted out.
  21. Haven't looked at the MAF, primarily due to no codes being thrown. Will do that today. Thanks
