  1. Crap, if this is was being sold a few months from now, I would already be over there with the Avalanche buying that thing. Good price for something nifty like that!
  2. I heard about it on Stern this morning. Howard had one of George's friends on the show today. My favorite bit from George was him condensing the 10 commandments. Great stuff. That, and how he handled traffic accidents. I saw him a few years ago in Vegas; awesome show. I only wish I could have seen him again. I will say he wasn't looking so great in his last HBO special; he looked WAY older than he did just a couple years prior.
  3. No shit. I'm stuck using it with my work stuff. Constant data no-connects with my phone, dropped calls, and my laptop broadband card has shit for bandwidth when using the VPN...which happens to be fine with any other connection (imagine that). I can't really think of anything positive to say about them. Ummm, decent phone selection, and some cheap plans I guess.
  4. If you are going to do that to a phone, why in the hell would you do it to a Razor??? Maybe do it to a good phone!
  5. Way to be a mega-douche and bring back a year old thread that has nothing to do with anything going on currently.
  6. S5 is awesome. Haven't driven one yet, but great to sit in. Or the Audi RS4. The new Nissan GTR (or whatever it is called). But the markup on that car will be over budget, I guarantee it. Probably not as great of a daily driver as the Audi. You can probably get into a Porsche Carrera 4 for around that money, probably a leftover on a lot that you talk down.
  7. Shhh, most of the people here listen to testicle radio and don't know any better. They think that crap the Blitz/Rock/whatever the POS channel calls a morning show is real morning radio.
  8. Then I'll call it a pig too. Somehow it is okay for the Challenger to weigh 4200 lbs, but people couldn't handle the GTO weighing 3800.
  9. Then don't come back. I promise you won't be missed.
  10. Me, Mario, and a couple of his co-workers got the $35 + tickmaster fee tickets today. Looking forward to the show!
  11. When a standard 45k Vette makes more HP. As does a Shelby Mustang. Or an M6. I can keep going through manufacturers selling cars with more HP for less money. As a Gallardo? Which is 79k more base MSRP vs base MSRP, which is less than half. And didn't I explain why you can't really compare the two price wise? Plus the R8 seem to still be selling over sticker, unlike the Gallardo. Looks, okay, that's an opinion, can't argue it. 420HP vs. 638HP...those are solid numbers. WRONG. Base MSRP of the ZR1 will be $103,300. Base MSRP of an R8 is 109,000. Of course neither will sell for MSRP, but that's to be expected when they are first released. But why are we even comparing the ZR1...the R8 can't even keep up with the 72k Z06........... So how is the R8 not the modern NSX?
  12. The R8 is nice, but IMO not worth the cash you have to shell out for one. With a Lamborghini or Ferrari, you are partly paying for that name. So if the performance isn't all that great for the dollar, it's understandable. But Audi isn't an exotic-only company. For the cash (or significantly less), I'd rather go faster in a Z06/ZR1, Turbo Porsche, etc. That said, still a nice car. Perhaps todays version of the NSX? Think about it: - Both are mid-engine cars - The "comfortable" exotic. - Underpowered for the price. - Handles well, but not out of this world well - Reasonably reliable (we will see, but the motor is pulled from a heavily shared parts bin at least). R8 = modern NSX. Not a bad thing, just too much money.
  13. But two 20 GB 5400RPM drives in a RAID 0 would still be faster than a 40 GB 10,000RPM drive overall, correct? And most likely end up costing less.
  14. I'd personally start researching Rogaine and the like. I don't think a Bosely-type place is worthwhile if you are just starting to thin. If it gets worse, go to a place that specializes in hair loss, and find out your options. Screw going bald. I like having hair, and if mine ever starts going away, I'm going to do my best to prevent it.
  15. The pump on my boat is on its last leg. Went boating for several hours yesterday, and it cut out on me several times for a second or two (steering got really hard), and didn't seem as powerful as it used to. Also squeeled hard core for the first few seconds after giving it gas when the motor was shut off for a bit (which isn't often, as we are constantly running it). A new one at the dealer was about $300. I said no. It's for a Mercrusier 3.0L I/O.
  16. Would prefer matching. Anything over 15GB is fine. I don't need a 10,000RPM drive; 5400 is good as well. Price is a factor; will be for a RAID 0 setup. Before anyone thinks this is for some gaming setup, it is actually for DVD encoding, where my current 7200 RPM hard drive is just getting hit too freaking hard when ripping/encoding 2 DVD's and encoding a 3rd saved on the HD, causing a very significant slow-down in the whole process.
  17. Yes, because if you drink, you have to get drunk. Back to the point, that is really sad, and if I was a parent, I'd have a hard time not hunting the driver down and seeking revenge.

Oh noes, China will hate us for not buying their flags. Like China as a whole would even notice, with all the crap we buy from there.
  19. Burrito, rice, steak or chicken, hot sauce, sour cream, extra cheese, lettuce = every trip to Chipotle, which is 1-2 times a week. I love that place.
  20. That looks nice??!!!! A Boeing 747 has a small wing than that thing! That car isn't worth 1/2 the Buy It Now price.
  21. I 100% disagree. I far prefer owning my own. I get to decide when/where I take my boat out. Sometimes I just like to have a little cruise out with me and my fiancée, sometimes I want to go out with a whole bunch of people. People have to work around my schedule to go boating, not vice-versa. I can't wait until I can upgrade to a bigger boat.
  22. I have no say on the content, and what's going down as far as that goes. I know there are some things on the horizion this year that should be better TV wise. As for your phone issues, I can come over and take a look (during works hours...I like being paid to work, lol). I'm pretty much the top guy when it comes to repairing anything home related; your description sure sounds like an upstream issue. Bad EMTA, poor signal, etc. PM me your phone number and I'll look up your EMTA and check your levels tomorrow. Our plant was built for 1GHz (at least every component I've seen...could be an amp/node, old EQ, etc. out there that's 750MHz, dunno as I'm not a plant maintenace tech), as is everything Americast (and now us) has installed on the customer premise as well. I know our EMTA's are Docsis 3 compliant, and I think they done some testing, but no word beyond that. Well, most of the stuff I ever watch on it.
  23. In NYC on Sunday: http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4893/1000542um3.jpg In our room on the Celebration Cruise ship, about an hour before I proposed to Janet: http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/8583/1000465xl6.jpg
  24. I usually find out a week or two before you would, so as of right now I haven't heard of anything. I know everyone wants HD this and that (me too), but some of these stations really need to get their act together with their HD content. TLC and Animal Planet are prime examples; most of their content is just 4:3 stuff they zoomed into so the side bars are smaller. As a result, all of the bottom text is cut off, and there are still small side bars anyway + doesn't really look all that hot. UPN might as well not even have an HD feed, as they rarely have anything but 4:3 content.
