But all the idiots say FWD is great in the snow.....
Nitrousbird replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Passing Lane
I’m going to be nice. It is fiancé, you retard! I saw plenty of RWD vehicles on the road today (mostly 2WD trucks), and didn’t see THEM spinning out everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE; I saw 5 just on my 20 minute drive home, all FWD (with RWD cars waiting on them, such as the Dodge Magnum I saw not having any issues). Any car with crappy tires will do poorly in the snow. When I bought my Formula many years ago, it was a daily driver. Threw some snow tires on the stock rims, and that thing was a champ in the snow. On the rock hard Z rated 17” tires, it was a white knuckle affair even driving straight. -

I knew nothing about this. I could, but my ramps are iced over, so I can't get it into the back of the Avalanche by myself very easily (espeically since I haven't purchased a rear grab bar yet). That, and I haven't purchased lights for it yet. I would like to, though. PM/Call me with more info. -
I wish I had a 2 month backup. Sadly, I've been playing catchup ever since I was laid off from Lucent a week after moving into my house. I DID about 3 months worth before I bought the house, then I was in way over my head. Though I'm far better than before, things keep popping up keeping me from storing away cash. I do put a little money in my 401k. Every time I get my yearly raise, I put in a little more, basically making it to where I don't see my raise. Got some stocks (that are about worthless now), and an IRA too, so I do see the importance of investing.

I drove all over Columbus today; especially going from the east side to the west side and back. Of all the cars I saw spin out, be in an accident, be in a ditch, etc. I only saw 3 vehicles that were RWD: late 90's Benz parked in the berm (probably broken, as it didn't look like it hit anything). E150 stuck in a ditch, and V6 Mustang that nosed into a retainer wall on 670. I saw TONS of FWD cars spin out, in a ditch. Saw a blue WRX all F'ed up this morning on 670 west bound, involved with another FWD car (of course the WRX being AWD). What was I driving? 04 E250 w/ 4.10'a, posi, and newer all-seasons. I was passing cars like they were standing still, and never once had any sensation of the van getting squirrely. I was gaining on a Malibu that spun out right in front of me. Driving the Avalanche to/from work, simply pushed Auto Trac on, and drove (which is basically RWD until you loose traction, then the fronts come in). I only did that so I could take off harder; no need for 4WD. Again, passing cars like they were standing still, and the tires on the Avalanche are fairly worn out. FWD = once it starts letting go, that's it, hang on for the ride. FWD sucks, winter, summer...doesn't matter when, it is just shitty. Of course there are a bunch of crappy drivers out there as well, but let's get real. On the plus side, all the people scared to go to work today made traffic freaking light on the way home tonight. It's taken me longer to get home on sunny days before!

Classy.

Ugh, I HATE this crap. These past few days have been total hell; I freaking HATE the cold. I'll take a humid 90 degree day over this 0 degree crap any time!

Balls - Shaved Shaft - Shaved Taint - Shaved Rest - Closely trimmed I've never shaven everything off, but would be willing to do so upon request (by my g/f of course, not you sickos). And guys, how do you prefer your women?? Shaved, landing strip, 70's bush...??? For me, I prefer good ol' Bald Eagle Jones.

It costs 8 million, but has anyone actually purchased it?

YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER. Now I can't be safe in Powell either.

Uhhh, you were racing in the snow, in a parking lot w/ a truck heavily loaded down, and expect us to have pitty on you when you wreck it??

Are you willing to negotiate a LOT on the 1000D? IIRC, that's the first model of 1000D made (aka quite old). I have an all silver 1000D here that is dead, which I believe is one model newer than that (and I've had it for years). I looked on E-bay for what it would go for, but couldn't find that model on there.

Buying out at the end of a lease is a HUGE waste of money. You would probably save more money just turning in the lease, then buying it a day later off the lot. Exactly. Like some 18 year old kid has any idea about relationships. And yes, at 18, I was in a long term relationship where everyone thought we would end up married (started at 17, ended at 22). I know what the deal is, and if you think you know anything about relationships at that age, you have another thing coming.

They took it to the right place to have that done. Wheel to Wheel does some AMAZING work, and knows their shit BIG TIME on LSx stuff.

My god, first you have the school cancelled for a little bit of cold. Now I had to drive home from work. Normally 20 minutes; 30-35 when traffic is crappy. Today = hour and 15 minutes, and I DIDN'T SEE AN ACCIDENT ANYWHERE!!!! These people are driving freaking 5MPH on the freeway, in some places the freeway was actually fairly clear in 1-2 lanes. I drove home with Autotrac on, and didn't need it on other than when I decided to floor it having a little fun. My god, it's a little bit of snow; it's not ice, the roads aren't THAT slick. What pisses me off is it took so long to get home that it got dark, and I can't take out my quad now (haven't bought headlights for it yet). I was looking forward to pissing the neighbors off with it too.

Jay Leno has a car with a similar (or perhaps the same) motor in it, called the "Tank Rod." Was in an old issue of car and driver. I think they put an Allison tranny behind it. Something like a Strange 10.5" or 12" would have no issues handling anything that motor could dish at it.

Brian's photoshop is the best I've seen so far this year.

Has anyone bought appliances from Appliance mart?
Nitrousbird replied to Stampede's topic in Dumpster
I bought my fridge there about 5 years ago. Due to the high of my cabinets, I had to go with a slightly shorter model, which is harder to find. I saved a couple hundred bucks over all of the other places I looked. If I need an appliance again, they are the first place I'm shopping. -
Whhaaaa for those kids. I was stuck working out in the cold a decent amount today. Put some warm clothes on and get to school. I remember them calling off school before back in HS for the cold. But it was a lot colder than this when they did! And guess who was outside shoveling the driveway that day........

Why is that funny?? Who do you think pays for these repairs??

It's MUCH easier to convert a car from auto to manual than from FWD to RWD......

I'd be interested in a clinic. Though if funds permit this spring, your hands will be all over my Avalanche.

A near stock looking mid 90's Civic w/ rear fender rust is someone's pride and joy????

Common theme among all of them is they want to move into my apartment, yet my add VERY clearly stated I have a house, and NOT an apartment. Here are the e-mails: >Dear sir/ma, > i am a nigerian looking for an apartment for my phD programme in ohio >so i had just been giving a visa for my one year programme in ohio university in columbus >i am about 51yrs old, married, plsease i want your urgent response about >this,i walk as a senoir lecturer in UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA one of the >reputable university,i am among the lucky senior lecturer in my istitution >giving a scholarship to,plsease my programme would last about one year,i >want a decent aparment that will make my stay worthwhile over there, please >i want your urgent response thank you, > > yours faithfully, > > potter fulcrum, > senior lecturer of Nigeria, ---------------------------------------------------------- i am young lady of 26yrs old i want an apartment in your area, iam keenly interested in apartment i am a missionary i travel to some of my church parishes we have a parish in u.k that is were i base but presently now i am in west africa the name of my church is REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD[REHOBOTH PARISH IN U.K]we have over 190 parishes in u.s now i had been assign to minister in one of the parishes in u.s.that is the reason why i want to count in your support it is God work, pls.kindly assit me for this apartment i will be staying up to 6months in u.s ,plsease get back to me as soon as get this mail thank you.isabella is my name ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I would like to rent your room.I am Mariah Johnson and I'm 26 years old social worker. I love travelling, sporting and enjoy meeting people. i get along much easily with most people.I do not smoke but do not mind people who do being around me, i drink very lightly occasionally. I will be coming over alone, with no family or pets. i dont intend to spend more than 2-3 months in America. Please reply me as soon as you read this email. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Kindly contact me via email if you are still looking for a room mate Thank you Yours sincerly Mariah. --------------------------------------------------------------------- They are all from yahoo e-mail addresses. The last one, "she" sent two identical e-mails to me. I never responded to any of them, but I'm just curious as to what they are trying to scam. My only guess is they would try one of those "I'm sending you a deposit check bigger than it needs to be, please send back the excess."

I didn't buy the piss water; it was left here = it becomes mine.

We can only hope a steam roller drives over that piece.
