I got there at 3am on the 256 Best Buy. I was about #500 in line, lol. Did get a 22" LCD monitor for $199. G/F scored the $130 7.1 Megapixel camera. She also got the $199 Pioneer Receivor/5.1 speakers/DVD player for $199, which is crazy no one was buying that up; it was a good package. Also got the $80 stand alone DVD burner, but returned it because it wasn't progressive scan.

You are all wrong on the RS thing. For 4th Gen's, the "RS" package was from 96-97, on the V6 model. On an LT1 car, it is called the "F1" package, but I believe that is dealer-installed (have to ask Anthony, he owned one). For the 98-02 cars, it is the sport apperance package, for both the V6 and V8 cars. Notice you don't see any RS badging on the 98-02 V6 cars with the apperance kit?

That's the sport apperance package, not the "RS" package.

I'd like to know how they got that pig down to 3600lbs w/ driver. I'm sure a lightweight driveshaft, slicks, skinnies, !AC were all part of that, but there has to be MUCH more to get it that low (and the fact there is weight added for the nitrous system, and what looks like a dedicated fuel system for it up front). Something seems more than a little fishy. Edit: reading on another forum I post on, it also sports a ported blower, and that "75 shot" is closer to a 150 shot. Also has lightweight brakes as well, but I'm still curious as to what got it that light...even if the driver was only 100lbs, they still would have to shed over 400lbs to get the car to 3600 w/ driver.

Someone should just run the asshole over with a car. It would be fitting.

Spoke w/ the g/f. We are 100% in for Best Buy; when is everyone meeting? I'm going to hopefully buy the $250 laptop, the $189 E-machine package (15" LCD monitor, cheapie printer, 3.2GHZ processor, etc.). I may also try to grab up the 22" widescreen moniter for $199, the $15 Bluetooth ear piece, and a couple cheapie DVD's. I know she will be looking at the Sony $399 receivor/DVD/speaker package, the $129 Kodak Camera, DVD's, and perhaps the laptop/E-machine to re-sell. Hell, I'd get the $480 RCA TV at Walmart too if I could, but can only be one place at a time.

Yes, more Best Buy info. The girlfriend and I may be interested in doing this.......

Looking at the numbers, this is hard to disagree with. But it doesn't take into account illegals. If less legals get it, will more ILLEGALS get in?? Because illegals are the true burden on our society. I have no problems with legals at all. I work with legal immigrants. My girlfriend happens to be one. Though lowering the number of legals may help, until the ILLEGAL issue is fixed, lowering the legals isn't going to do much.

Of course you could have easily thrown a supercharger on your Formula, made more power than your Slowbra, had a car that weighed significantly less, and had less money out of pocket (even if you paid someone to put on the supercharger and tune the car).

Sure, the Ring and Pinion fail 1st. Beef that up, and if that doesn't break, the next in line will (axle or posi most likely). I just HATE seeing people dump money into these 10-bolts. Leave them stock, and save money for something worth while. There are SSSOOO many options for F-body's right now for 100% BOLT-IN setups, it isn't even funny. 12-bolts, 9", Dana 60, convereted 8.8". And a number of makers for each as well; tons of options, and options covering a wide variety of price ranges.

After owning a Mustang, I must say...... ...good move. I don't miss mine.
