  1. Go with a 2 wheel drive. You can slide and turn better, WAY more fun and won't wear you out as fast as a 4x4.
  2. ^^ must forget about Linn's left hook. My car takes off like a bat out of hell and then.....boom, pop, miss, hiss, poof and shit. *#%^)*%$#$^!!
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing my run. Thanks Buck!
  4. Thanks to CR for the show, thanks Nick for the Skinny's and thank the LORD my pistons are not laying on the track! My best ET was 12.16 @ 83mph with a 1.6 60' I'm not sure what is up with the car, but I kept breaking up in 3rd and had to pedal half track on. This is the reason for the low mph. I think the fuel pressure was dropping off. I'm actually happy with the day, considering my motor should be in pieces and it seems to be ok. Also knowing once I get my megasquirt done (running a factory tune right now) the car should go 10's easy. OH, almost forgot! My last pass I had a nitrous backfire and it blew up my K&N. Pretty freaky. This was a first for me. Till next year...
  5. I'm glad I'm not the only stupid mother f'er still up! Geesh!
  6. What are you gonna do with a Mod motor? You don't know how to work on them. ;-)
  7. DAVE, hope you see this. Nick let me borrow his set. Thanks again man! See in a few hours. BC
  8. Greg filled me up today. He's a good lil juice filler upper. I almost fell asleep in that big boy race seat though. ;-)
  9. I just put the slicks on the rear and even at 20 psi it's still feels very unstable. I thinks it's a combination of things, one of those being 17" '03 Cobra rims with 255's on the front. If I could borrow a set of skinnies, that would be AWESOME! I've got 5 lug on 4 1/2". Thanks, BC
  10. Who's bringing the grill to cook on? I might be able to get my mom to man the grill.
  11. Well, I picked one from Napa, the Echlin book said 0-100 psi. Well, when I fire the car, it pegs the gauge (past 100psi) and normally carry 75 psi at idle when it's cold. Rob any idea what that part # is at napa? Or is there someone at napa you can call. LaSota, I appreciate the offer and might have to make the drive to other side of the earth and pick it up. I think I have your cell # but PM me it just in case. I work in Dublin and could maybe swing up tomorrow, I dunno. Sucks livin in Grove Tucky! Thanks guys! It's aways the little dumb shit! I WILL BE RUNNING ON THE 29TH DAMN IT!
  12. it keeps changing! high of 56!! whoa, big HP weather!
  13. Cool, I'll check with Napa tomorrow. Hopefully I don't have to borrow the mechanical gauge! I'm 99% sure it's the sender. I was making a full nitrous pull the other night, top of 2nd gear, look over at the A-Pillar and 0 psi!!! I shut the car down but the reverse manual valvebody owns me! No neutral for me!
  14. best video I've seen in a while. It's kinda cool seeing a couple old school mid'ish '80s pony cars go at it and then throw the new school in the mix. nice!
  15. Oil sender, oil sending unit...whatever you want to call it. It's for an autometer electric oil pressure gauge. Jegs wants $30! Summit has one for $12, but the handling fee is $10! Seems like a simple part. Does anyone know of a Napa or Autozone etc part number it would cross to?
  16. Best CR ET/MPH Best non-trailered ET/MPH Sexiest Fat Man Trophy - Go ahead and put my name on that one.
  17. It's a Manual Valve body, no modulator. I have not spayed the car to see how that will effect things. It has 373's which is perefect. I think problem is the stall/cam combo. My cam isn't anywhere near as big or aggresive as it should be for this set up. I'm going to get a custom ground cam and slap the blower back on this winter.
  18. I converted from T5 to a SB C6, fully rollerized, reverse manual VB, 4k 9" stall. Now I realize I lost an additional 5-10% rwhp. Here are my questions... It feels like Im losing more than 20-25% between the motor and wheels. and the shift is quick but not harsh. Just guessing, but it fells like a lost 80-100 rwhp. I know a C4 is more efficient but I have a C6 so, that's just the way it worked out. Should the shifts be hard and solid? Should the shifts be Harsh or violent? Is there a way to externally adjust the line pressure on a c6? I'm just very disappointment at his point. My car feels atleast 1 second slower in the 1/4.
  19. I'll bet that is not the original tranny or rear end. I wouldn't doubt it if the ring & pinon has already been replaced twice before you bought it, they go out every 30k miles and 50-60k on the tranny's. I do like the truck though. Nice ride and pulls my 3,000lb boat like nothing. My friend's '04 Trailblazer is the BIGGEST piece of crap. We tried pulling the boat with it and was very unstable and had NO low end power. It was a joke!
  20. My '02 exploder just got a new ring and pinion, all 4 hub/wheel bearings, complete overhaul of the transmission and who know's what's next. Thank God for the extended service plan!
  21. Ring a dinner bell every hour. This will que people to pick up any trash laying around and get in a line to throw it away in the trash can. IPS could pick someone from the trash line to recieve a 10% off whatever coupon...nitrous refill, any purchase over $100 etc...this would help the business and the trash situation. Seriously though, I'm sure it sucks to have to deal with this BS. Hopefully we can all help IPS get it under control.
