I've watched both and I have my opinions on either shows. Just wanted to see what you people though. Top Gear US: Decent show. Didn't see much of season 1 but from what I heard it wasn't that great. I like the challenges they do. Tanner seems to do big burnouts on any car he drives. I think they do a decent deal with the cars and the last episode Sunday we pretty neat where the cops blocked off the roads in LA and Tanner had a 911. The Car Show: Not much of a show other than putting down several different cars (IMO). Adam just has to put a snide comment at the end of everything he says which in his mind is funny, but I dunno. They test drive a few cars and say "OMG LOOK AT THIS POWER!" and that's about it. Then they bring some guy on the show and have a slot car race (really?) and some other random shit. I know the Car show is in it's first season.. but I I think Adam is killing it (in a bad way).

Might be a good flick? Most likely a flop given these movies lately.

There are instructions that tell you how to link up the remote fob with the car. I've done it on my wife's old '95 but not anything newer. It's not that bad. As for the auto dimming, I'd just graba manual one and it'll never break. I've gone though two in my wife's regal and they're around $30-40 a piece used on the Regal boards. If you need struts I have a complete set of quickstruts that have 70k on them. THey are firm and I had a knocking noise but I think it was my sway bar (the sound was in the front, not the back).

You can do this.. but he's raised his prices a LOT in the past year or two. Especially for motors. Anything in particular you were looking for on the Impala?

I'm making my son earn his car. So far he's saved up around $600 from working over the summer for only a weekend job. He pays for the car and if there are repairs that need to be made I will pay for them and he will help me fix it. That's just me. I'm trying to find a decent crap car for about a grand that way if he wrecks it it's only a grand. Not like a $5000 car and he totals it and he's (or I) is out of the money.

The only thing I will have to say about this.. is... parenting failure. That is all I will probably have to say about this. If you don't have the balls to stand up to your kid and tell him/her what's right from wrong, then you have no place in being a parent.

My parents will be married for 50 years on the 26th. I'm trying to come up with a few good ideas that will catch them "off guard". I thought about talking to their neighbors that they've had for the past 30 years in the hood and just getting them all to come down to the house on the 26th and surprise them all at once. I was thinking about dropping a large cake off at the neighbors so they won't be suspicious and then bringing it to them around 7 pm or so. I really don't want them to know anything. My fear is my mom said they might go out of town that weekend or maybe even go out to dinner that night. I also thought about buying some high end steaks and just having my family invade their house and have a cookout and at a certain time have the neighbors all come later on that night. Any other ideas? Edit - oh. I know there are a few people (or at least one) that makes cakes for a living or on the side. Whoever that is.. let me know their name and/or shoot me a PM to see what we can do.
