  1. Yup. Thoes drinks sound good. But I kind of ruined myself on orange flavored drinks when I had what I deemed 'fifth night' with myself for a few months every weekend in college where I would sit down with a fifth of something and attempt to drink it. I was on a Bacardi O kick at the time. I think it may have been long enough though. For energy drinks with vodkas Rotarded on here turned me onto SoBe No Fear if I'm remembering right. It was really good, much better than Red Bull. I can't drink a ton of sugary or syurpy drinks most of the time either. I've had pretty good luck with Red Bull sugar free though.
  2. By the way, I'm bored if you couldn't tell. And I'm procrastinating packing for a work trip. Top of my fridge full. I still haven't found anything I really like to store all of this. http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4728/dscf1114pb8.jpg A few of the more interesting bottles. http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/8287/dscf1115cq3.jpg
  3. Never heard of them, you drink their gin or vodka? Assuming vodka with the white Russians. That and the fact that Gin is disgusting. Not a huge milk fan, so I don't so much dig the white Russians so much, although I have had a black Russian and I was a fan. I'm going to be in Winnipeg next weekend and we go to this pretty cool lounge place who's specialty is (old) Bourbons and the like, but they have a huge drink list with a ton of different drinks on it. We usually end up there sometime over the weekend. They make this drink I love, and if I remember right it's basically a white Russian with coke. Good shit.
  4. Umm, ok, what do you drink and it is remotely interesting or do you just got out and buy some vodka in a plastic jug? I'm mainly looking for suggestions for rum's or vodkas, but I figured I'd throw the how in there to make things interesting. And I also think what one likes/their pallet will affect how they like to drink things, which will affect what rum's or vodkas they like. I might not like a rum or vodka you do as much because you like to drink them straight and I prefer to drink them mixed.
  5. Getting into some good stuff a little bit and want to see what others suggestions are. For rum's I just bought a bottle of Pyrat XO Reserve, got some 10 Cane a few months ago too, decent stuff. I'm sipping on the Pyrat now, and it's got a ton of flavor. Pyrat is a darkish rum while 10 Cane is a little lighter. Being someone who usually drinks clear (silver/white) rums, such as Bacardi Superior, I'm looking for some suggestions more in this range, but I'm open to suggestions. If you get a chance to try Captain Morgans White Rum, I suggest it too, but I've only seen it up in Canada, I usually buy a bottle when I'm up there. I'm a clear rum and coke guy through and through if that gives you an idea of my palette. I've drank a lot of the common high end vodkas. I ended up being suggested to try Titto's. If you've never had this and like vodka, you have to try it. So far I haven't tried a vodka that can best it, at any price, and it's very reasonable priced (~$15 for a 1/5). Even though I love Titto's, being a huge vodka fan, I'd like some other suggestions for good stuff too. I almost always drink vodka with cranberry juice, just can't get away from that classic. So, what do you drink and suggest? How do you drink it?
  6. I'm there at least every Saturday from open to 3-4. Except for next Saturday (26th). I'm there some random other days too. Post up if you are going to be there, or if you go there you can just ask someone on the ski patrol if I'm there. It was cold yesterday, but the snow was oh so good.
  7. You can say that for most cars from the 80's, early 90's, but definitely more so they Japanese cars. That's a retarded reason to say Japanese trucks are bad trucks though, that was 20 years ago.
  8. Funny, I've started and ran cars at -40 quite a few times. There's usually a lot more to worry about at those temps than fuel.
  9. You were driving a GSX on the same road as him. I would be bothered by you too if it were me.
  10. Take a heavy duty/thick piece of electrical line and use it as a template. Small amount of strands/single stranded works the best. You want something that you can bend, but it will keep its shape. Bend the electrical line in place (under the car), then use it as a template for the brake line and bend the brake line on your work bench. Makes things a lot easier. Just a suggestion if you do end up making the line. I don't blame you for not wanting to do it, I just don't know where to get the braided lines from.
  11. Instructions on building a 'multi-function' seat riser if you are interested. http://www.audioholics.com/tweaks/do-it-yourself-diy-topics/multifunction-theater-seat-riser
  12. Oh, I meant to comment on the straight studs for the wall. Pick out the straightest ones for the studs and use those. The less straight ones you can use for shorter pieces (that you need to cut down). The fucked up ones use for very short pieces or take back. That's the best way to make things look as good as possible. IDK about Lowes, but most lumber yards will let you bring back what you don't use. I've found trying to find straight lumber at Lowe's/Home Depot makes me want to kick someones puppie.
  13. Plum bob works fine. You can always find one of the straight 2X4's (or whatever you use) and use a level. This is what we always did. Go to some different points on the wall, level the 2X4, mark it. Unless you have poured walls you will probably see high spots in the wall. Then check it out with a chalk line, or a laser, don't mark it yet, you are just checking to see where the 'highest' point on the whole wall because this will be where your wall is closet to the brick. Chalk line may be cheaper and it's a 'permanent' mark, but it takes two people. Hoping this makes sense, seems like you are getting it. My uncle never did the foam thing, but he always insulated, I'm guessing that's what the foam is for. Oh, use treated wood for the bottoms, use tapcons to put them in the floor. I'll post a little more later, but off to Ski Patrol now. PM me if you want and we can chat over the phone, or hell, I could even come out and take a look and give you some ideas. If you need help when you are building it too, just let me know. I don't know drywall very well, but a little, but everything else I've had a decent amount of experience with.
  14. I just read this and obviously haven't gotten a chance to ask him yet, so I'll ask him that then too. He always worked with 2X4's but he was working in basements bigger than most of our houses so space wasn't an issue. I worked with him once when he was enclosing a patio and he used something smaller. I would want to say yes, if it were me I would probably do it without even thinking about it. Like you said, they aren't load bearing. Keep in mind you'll need space behind the walls anyways to keep everything square. I think you can't do it flush anywhere because of fire code too, but don't quote me on that one. I know he always had a minimum clearance on any point in the inside of the wall to the brick, it wasn't a ton, but it was something, and I want to say it's for some fire code, but it's been a while too.
  15. Check craigs list. I use http://www.apartments.com it doesn't have everything, but it's the only type of sight I've been able to find for apartments that doesn't make me want to punt the next small dog/cat/person I see. I also just use google maps, click on 'find business', put in the location you are looking (street intersections or zips work the best) and type in apartments or something to the effect for the 'what' part. You can then search on google for them using google maps, then either find their website and/or a website like the ones you listed with good information for them. Sorry, but I've never looked in that area so I haven't a clue. If you were looking on the n/w side I could probably tell you what the 1 and 2 bedroom layouts of most of them look like an approximate price since I'm now in my third apartment in three years in this area.
  16. It's more of a time and convince thing than anything else for me. Of course I'm not going to spend $$$ for tickets to there either, so this is the perfect half way point so to say. Rental cars are pretty cheap too. Of course we'll spend a little more money, but not too much more and it's a lot easier. The g/f was saying something about the vineyards/winerys, might do some of that. And the jet boat does sound awesome, if they are running them when we go I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestions.
  17. My uncle professionally finishes basements for a living, mostly in Dublin. I worked for him for about a year in totally when I was in high school. As long as the basement didn't have any water issues, which most modern ones with a properly designed sump system shouldn't this is what he did. He just painted the walls with some water resistant paint. A few coats of it until it's nice and coated. This will just keep the condensation off of the walls so it doesn't get on anything back there. If your basement is built right and you have a good sump system that is all you should ever see anyways, and that's probably just because of temp differences mostly. He's way past what I would call a perfectionist too. I never worked with him anywhere that had even the slightest water issues, and I'm guessing if he saw anything he would have just turned the job down anyways, so I can't comment on that. I can find out the paint he uses if you would like me to.
  18. Thank god, for a second there I thought it might be the same weekend as I'm going there. Saw that this morning and booked tickets too. Got $25 each way, so the same as you Superhawk, $133 total round trip two tickets. When I booked mine this morning there were tickets for $10 both ways still, just not on the days we wanted to go. Pretty funny because we went away for a long weekend after Christmas and were debating Niagara or St. Louis, but we were driving. We ended up going to St. Louis, then this pops up so now we are going to Niagara. We flew with them to San Diego back in August and it was no different than any other airline. Except for faster (loading and unloading) and cheaper. Food was decent too (I'd die w/o food on a 4 hour flight).
  19. Lol, I'm glad someone caught what I was implying.
  20. I can only assume alum is a multi use trail. Even if it's not I treat it as such. I've come across quite a few runners, even a team from some school, and it's pretty rare not to see a few fishers. I even came across some kids playing paintball (they seemed to stop whenever someone came by). If it's a multi use trail, then 'everyone' is fair game to do what they please on it within the rules. Unfortunately mountain bikers don't have the lobby or organized support that some other groups have and don't get a fair shake sometimes. At the very least, we are considered the 'most dangerous' users of the trail and it's always our responsibility to yield. Either way I have no problem sharing the outdoors and trails with others as I'd hope they wouldn't have an issue sharing it with me, as long as neither of us does anything to jeopardized the trails or it's users.
  21. Didn't realize tonight was the night. Glad I read this thread!! :woowoo:
  22. Lol, that's one of the funnier things I've heard. Doubleblacks in Ohio. Sorry, I know you are new. I'm on ski patrol there, ask for me next time you are there and we will grab a few runs together if I can. I'm mostly there Saturday's from open to ~3, but I may be there other random times. Just for clarification, by dumb fucks I don't mean people who just hurt themselves, stuff happens. There were some drunken idiots there last night. But that's what makes the Mid Mads interesting. If you were there at about 1am near then main you know what I'm talking about. Not happy I couldn't make it out Ben. I really wanted to go, but had forgotten when I was talking to Coop at your party that I scheduled two of my Midnight Madnesses for this weekend. How was the show?
