I'm shocked that people have already forgotten the EV1. It was far ahead of its time and could get like 80 to 90 miles per charge on lead acid batteries. Later models upgraded the battery pack, but would be able to have amazing range if LiIon were available at the time.Seriously? you guys don't know of the EV1? Not trying to shit on you but I thought everybody knew about this car from the movie "who killed the electric car?".https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_EV1#Who_Killed_the_Electric_Car.3F
They built this all electric car from 1996 to 1999 and leased it out to people. It was the first mass produced modern electric car from a major automaker.
GM built 1117 of them to test the viability of the electric car in the market. The end result was they crushed all be a few examples and declared that the market place was not ready for an electric car. They pulled all the leases and cancelled the program in 2003. In 2008 Tesla came out with its all electric roadster.
Pretty much the interest in electric cars prior to the EV1 was almost 0, but by the end of the program it was more than even GM anticipated. People who were skeptical about the EV1 that had the chance to experience it became advocates of the car to the point where there was a ground swell of support for GM not to shred the cars. The conspiracy theory of "Big Oil" killing the electric car and suppressing alternative energy really ramped up because of of the EV1.
Like it or not, that little car that looks like a suppository mated with a saturn kinda changed the world.
They were only available in CA and AZ.
The ones that weren't crushed were stripped of electronics, VIN, and donated to museums and universities. There's one collecting dust in the basement of my alma mater.
GM also build S10 EV's with the same technology, but they weren't crushed like the EV1. Quite a few years ago a guy I went to school with found an S10 EV in a junkyard, poached the EV stuff, and converted a Fiero.

Science doesn't mean anything anymore, why would he trust those links? You could argue that his mentality is no different than any climate change denier. No amount of proof will change his mind, but he watched some YouTube vid that changed his life.Exactly. The conversation has since progressed and others are trying to asplain why he's a moron and he isn't getting mad but genuinely doesn't get why that's dumb. Someone even linked scientific articles. Not helping.Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

-"Detonating a nuclear device will not dissipate a hurricane."A buddy of mine posted about that and someone on his FB friends list actually was talking about how hard Trump is working and all he's doing, etc. etc....but THEN he legitimately said, "I think they should get together and if they're going to drop that bomb do it somewhere useful - Smack dab in the middle of one of these hurricanes and dissipate it. Is that something we can all agree since you guys depise our commander in cheif working so hard and diligently to do the right things?"
That's a direct copy/paste. Buddy replied: "Yes. Exactly. We want the President of the United States to drop an atomic bomb on a hurricane that's currently over US waters and territories in order to prove that he is an intelligent, trustworthy, and hard-working guy. That would definitely solve this."
Moron the says, "If they caught it overnight it would be between Puerton Rico and The Dominican Republic."
Followed by these gems: "I think it could possibly work. They can create disaster, surely this (or something else) may work to stop a catastrophic event as mentioned."
"Even if over a large body of water? I mean the fish and other sea life may be in grave danger but at that point you have to put things in perspective to human life."
Yes. These people exist. They are avid in their quests.
QFT.
Seriously QFT.
-"But, that's like, your opinion, man. I'm allowed to believe what I want, and I might be right. What do you know about hurricanes anyway..."
It's comforting to think that their votes count just as much as mine, and it's a good thing we don't vote on when and where to drip bombs...unless they vote their intellectual equal to office...

Want to talk about how neither of those are tax dollars going directly into their pockets?Do we want to talk about how much money the Clintons have since Bill's time in office? Or how much a community organizer/law professor's book deal is REALLY worth?Didn't we just cover "false equivalency" a few pages ago?

The SS spent $60k so far this year on golf cart rentals at Trump's clubs. Anyone who doesn't this he's using the presidency to make money has their head in the sand.

What's the motive for black on black crime? Is it a product of poverty? If so, does that make it equal to a hate crime? Do motives matter to you or are you trying to claim that all crime is equal, which is why white supremacist hate crimes should be tallied against other crimes not motivated by hate?9/11 doesnt count I guess. Let's ignore the shit show in Europe and lets ignore black on black violence. Geetoo, why Black on Black violence is important is because there is no one else to blame. There communities want to blame the "man", while promoting poor education and drug dealing. Want to run the numbers of supremacist vs black on black crime?Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Wow, had a busy day at work and wasn't able to check this today and keep up. I don't know where to start, but most everything has been said so I'll only say this:
People are judged over the friends that they keep. Your friends are a reflection of you. At this point I wouldn't stand within 10 feet of anyone in this administration for fear of being associated with them. I read a diverse set of news media and I purposely watch Trump's statements live (or replayed) without commentary so that I can be the judge of whether the reporting on his statements is accurate or skewed, and I honestly have no idea how anyone could stand with this guy anymore.
Bannon will be fired and they will play it up as ousting the Alt-right from the white house, but he's not the only one. The entire administration is toxic.

I find it absurd that you would express outrage over the leaders of an organization attending a meeting, while turning a blind eye to Bannon's role in the White House.he hasn't "cultivated them" they made their own choice to support their own cause and him no different than Obama and BLM only Obama invited those turds to the White House. He sure as hell cultivated them from the moment he entered the political ring. He's perpetuated every conspiracy theory written on those blogs, he claimed Obama was a Muslim, he claimed Obama wasn't a US citizen, his rallys were often violent and he would encourage the crowd when doing so, he said all Muslims were bad and they would be deported, he said Mexicans are bad and need to be deported, he ran a campaign based on strong nationalism and aligned his ideals with the alt-right/KKK, yet never denounced them until basically forced to by the press, which made it meaningless IMO (and I believe those groups saw it as meaningless too). He's catered to thus group since day 1, then appointed Bannon as chief strategist. Actions speak louder than words, and Trumps made it clear that his word means nothing.

We were not a country founded on faith, which is why there is separation of church and state. A majority of the founding fathers weren't even Christian.he did fail at the political speak game of once again denouncing Nazism...cause we all know deep down he's a skin-head right? and what's with the hate towards his God comments? like we aren't a country founded on faith right? if he said "have a blessed day" would he be considered racist because that's a black thing? we're going a bit over board here....maybe deep down inside he figures "fuck them"? no different than anyone else. again, we're a country founded and still driven by the majority of people who do have some type of faith.
You can define a true American however you wish as will his followers. I enjoy our pledge of allegiance to the flag and appreciate the edit made to it in the 50's to show support against the communist threat and think it's still valid against simliar threats including that of the Islamic Extremists. Fuck both of them! This isn't Russia and or Little Syria and we're not a country founded on atheism. You don't have to agree with that but then don't get all butt hurt when someone disagrees with you, including our President who now finally isn't a pussy caving into ideals that differ than ours.
I have an issue with his God comments because he is not a pastor, he is the President. We are a country of many faiths and many beliefs. You can't give a speech claiming to want to bring people of different backgrounds together, then say that all Americans are created by the same God. To me it's a bigoted statement and it's only meant to appeal to his base.
Do you honestly believe Trump is a deeply religious man? He's probably used God more in the last year than he has the rest of his life. Evangelicals eat that shit up and look past all his past transgressions because if it.

Yea Richard Spencer was credited in this article too.Spencer himself is the one who started using it regularly but it is typically attributed to a conservative philosopherhttp://www.columbusalive.com/entertainment/20170208/white-nationalist-from-worthington

You're welcome to give the elected officials and those in charge a pass but not me. This isn't he worlds first parade of skinhead/kkk knuckleheads to prepare for dealing with. I also will allow you to categorize them as the Unite the Right but last I checked, they aren't exactly the conservatives choice for representation. Alt-right perhaps.
Not sure where you think I dodged. Again, you can put down the false and lame attempt to link me to supporting or defending them. Fact still stands if I say I'm coming to your front lawn with a baseball bat and you walk outside to confront me and talk shit then you're just as much a knucklehead.
I think even going way back to the David Duke thing during his campaign he's been pretty clear that he doesn't approve or support such shit. He should have probably put his political hat on tighter in this case and played the entertainment game more but if anyone really thinks he supports this then they are misguided fool who is looking more for political entertainment than anything else.
Probably. Shame on the others for playing into it too. If people want to take away their power, don't give them the attention they seek or coverage they want. Would have kinda sucked for them if the only ones who showed up were them.
IMO everyone is racist to a certain extent. To the degree any of us is however will only be determined true by that persons actions. I'll disagree and state that what you see isn't accurate but is an assumption others will make. No need for any of us to come out an defend what someone else "thinks" we are based on the actions of others. That's solely on them.
You might think so but I don't.
There's no trap. I've not accepted their view in any way. Our country is built on free speech and who are you or me to tell someone what they can like, love or hate? Putting America First is not Nazi-ism or hate speech so let's not try and link the two.
such crap is on both sides Kerry. The BLM movement and extremists on that side are the same turds in return pointing the other way. They are indeed the equal force on the other side. Not that either side really has a place or desire for either of them. ie. I don't sense a democrat supports the extremist ANTIFA/BLM Freaks any more than the republicans support the KKK or white nationalist freaks.
The democrats didn't have one sitting in the white house making policy. Trump has cultivated these groups ever since he got into politics and he's done nothing to denounce them until coerced.
I read in an article yesterday (I think on Bloomberg) that the Clinton campaign coined the term "alt-right" in an attempt to hurt the Trump campaign but it clearly did not work. Not true.

You're calling the minority left obstructionist, but ignoring the behavior of the Republican party during the last few years of Obama?your expecting logic and it won't happen. The lefts only agenda right now is to be obstructionist when it is convenient.Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

What is anti-white culture? All I've ever seen is Nazi web sites taking an anti-white slant on every "news" piece, but it's completely made up propaganda that's meant to mobilize their base.My god this is fucking stupid. This anti-white shit is just as fucking bad as this neo-nazi, white supremacy shit. It 100% goes both ways. The anti-white culture has been growing and growing over the years and if you can't see it, you're fucking blind.Kerry, you're doing exactly what you yelled at me for doing. Lumping everyone in a group. "If you are a white male, you have to openly state that you are against it." Since fucking when? Why does anyone have to justify themselves at all? I didn't see a call for Muslims to come out and openly say they are against the numerous terrorist attacks here. What about the BLM attacks on police and riots through the street? Was there a call for all black people to openly state they were against it? Or are you saying this only pertains to white males? I don't get the logic anymore and I probably never will.
Also, I haven't seen anyone else say it, but Trumps entirely too late statement denouncing Nazism was complete BS. Not only was he forced to do it, and it didn't appear genuine, but he added "we're all created by the same God" to the end of it. He wasn't speaking to Americans here, he was talking to his base. What about the people who don't believe in your God Mr. Trump? With all the anti-semitism/anti-muslum rhetoric from the alt-right, why would you feel it necessary to say that after saying we all live under the same laws and all salute the same flag? His base will still take this statement as support, that only people 'like them' are true Americans.

I haven't seen any pictures of protesters carrying weapons or having their hands taped up like boxers on their way to the rally, only the alt-right Nazi's in attendance...can anyone share some here?

It may work reasonably well then. It seemed to help on our wood floors where I used to have to sweep multiple times per week. Now I'm not doing that as often, but also depends on where it goes, since I have one of the random ones.No pets. All wood/tile floors with some area rugs.We have cats and their hair quickly gets tangled around the brushes, making them pretty useless.
If you have a pet that sometimes poops on the floor, do not use one of these. It will smear it all over your house.

The Roomba's with the camera in top will go in straight lines too. That's at least the 900 series and may have trickled down to lower lines by now.Parents have had several roombas...And only one Neato, for the last 3 1/2 years.
Go with Neato, they just hold up way better, and don't just hit bounce around at random like the older roombas used to, they will actually leave perfectly aligned lines on carpet. Bed bath & beyond + coupons are your friends on these things.

Honestly, your best bet is to treat it as a club. This model has been done before and they also use it for "maker spaces" all over the country. Those guys have table saws, bands saws, etc. so they must have figured out the insurance thing. They also have to give training on each piece if equipment before you're allowed to use it.My best friend lives in phoenix and takes his z06's and vipers to a local place with a rented lift to do all his work. This is where I got the idea. The shop would have air and air tools, speciality tools to rent and wheel and tire eventually. The business model would be set up as strictly a rentable shop by then hour. Not selling cars. Not advertised to public as a garage etc. If a local mechanic wanted to run his business out of there so be it. The main source of Mo eyes would be renting lift and tool rental.
My dance studio rents the ballroom to teachers per 45 mins. This same principal would apply to lifts.
My attorney would create a waiver liability form everyone would sign basically taking risk from me to whoever is working. That's a given.
I do like the country try club but for cars idea. A membership
And, yeah, this topic come up a lot!

Wow, that is impressive. The Viper team was only able to run one flying lap, but they got additional sponsors and will be back again this month. They sound confident about breaking into the 6's but who knows how deep.Rumor has the GT2 RS just posted the following times:6:47 on Trofeo R - unofficial time because the car can't be optioned with that tire
6:53 on Pilot sport cup 2

As a global figure, for reference this is just under the sales figures for the Toyota Camry (660,868 units in 2016, the 10th highest selling vehicle in the world), which would be impressive for the Model 3, if it can actually convert all reservations to sales. But they won't, which is a good thing because they don't have the capacity to fulfill all those orders. That should help keep demand high (if successful) and prices up though.http://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/13058/the-model-3-is-further-proof-of-teslas-asymmetric-war-against-the-auto-industry1800 new Model 3 orders each day.
