  1. It's been hyped as a Full House reunion during the Superbowl. John Stamos has been a spokesman for them before.
  2. I welcome the name changes. It helps to identify the nut jobs before talking to them. I equate her name being "Sexy" with every girl I see with "Princess" stickers on their car
  3. You mean a 1.75L turbo 4 can't hang with a 6.2L V8? I'm sure a Vette would kill an Elise on track too, but that's not to say that the Elise isn't a great track/driver's car. I don't think the goal of this car is to get the lowest lap time, but more about the driving experience. My problem with the video review is that they rag on the car because the front end washes out when driving through patches of water when pushing the car hard. I would guess the tires on the 4C are more suited for dry conditions and have a much higher limit of grip than the 86.
  4. They weren't drifting the 86 whole time, or in the Cayman.
  5. I think it's funny that in the video they keep ragging on the 4C for being inferior, but it's all over their back end the entire time.
  6. Had they actually gone to a sperm bank everything would be fine. But legally you are not covered if you respond to a Craigslist ad and spooge into a turkey baster.
  7. The energy recovery systems will function all the time, but how they put that energy back into the engine will differ throughout the race.
  8. While I did mean my E85 comment in a half sarcastic tone, it would also help knock resistance and would cool the cylinder as well. With the extremely high pressures (intake and exhaust) these engines will see I think heat could be a huge issue.
  9. As I understand it, that's incorrect. The energy recovery system will function all the time, but if the car were to run full-boost, flat out, maximum HP for more than ~2 laps they won't have enough fuel to finish. The energy recovery system can either add torque on top of the engines power, or it can be used to reduce the engine load in order to make xxx power more efficiently, thus reducing the fuel required.
  10. Think what they would do with an E85 tune! It's pretty amazing what these cars are doing this year and I'm interested to see how reliable they prove to be. It looks as if the MGU-H is an electric motor on the turbine/compressor shift that's used as a generator in order to control turbine speed, but it seems that would raise the pre-turbine exhaust pressure too. Jalopnik pointed out that some teams were still using wastegates in addition to the MGU-H, probably for redundancy in case the motor failed, but I wonder if they will start bleeding off excessive exhaust pressure during normal operation. It looks like there are a lot of tuning variables that will play into race strategy this year.
  11. Berto, I understand your frustration. When my wife started having problems with Gluten she went to three separate doctors who said, "well, you are getting older..." and acted like all her crazy symptoms were common things for aging women. The fourth doc suggested she may have a gluten sensitivity and all her symptoms disappeared in 2 weeks. However, it was just luck that she went to him and was on the verge of giving up in docs after the first three offered no hope. Keep at it and try not to get discouraged.
  12. I made a post about this place last week after seeing most of the new Chrysler 200 press photos were taken there. Drive around the Wayne State area and check out some of the old Victorian mansions that are still standing. Or go to Bouzoukis.
  13. In Detroit you don't find dirty whores and gangbangs, they find you.
  14. Yea, they keep saying "at least" before the HP and torque numbers. I'm sure they're waiting on final certification numbers, or figuring how much more power they may need to beat certain track records before final release.
  15. I think it goes deeper than this. Sure, you can get land and abandoned buildings for cheap in Detroit, but this place is in Rochester Hills. Think of it as the Dublin of Detroit. I think you see a lot of boutique automakers showing up around Detroit because during the bankruptcy period a lot of skilled trades found themselves out of work. You can get a building, garage, workshop, etc. anywhere but it's hard to find real craftsmen that know how to make things with their hands.
  16. Nice pick up. Love the pearl white. Did you keep the TTRS?
  17. I can see both sides of it. On one hand it's nice to have an event that always occurs at the same time and place. That way the non - regulars always know where to go. On the other hand, everyone that goes is a car enthusiast and it would be cool to have someone like IPS or Tesla open their doors for the day and give free tours. As long as it remains about the car hobby, not not making a sale.
  18. Except it isn't even close to a restored Mustang with an LS9 in it. It might look like it on the outside, but it's all supercar underneath.
  19. I think the problem with the STi having "only" 305 HP (the same as the base WRX) is that we're accustomed to the STi pushing the boundaries, and now it's not. They had 300hp turbo 4's years before anyone else was offering it (except maybe Mitsu), but they haven't really progressed. Maybe it's because of rally regulations that they want to stay close to, but it's not helping their road car.
  20. It's not. Check out pics of the bare chassis. http://jalopnik.com/detroits-newest-muscle-car-is-a-mash-up-of-every-great-1385330876
  21. Pretty sure you can get a diesel Ram for about $30k. Not sure what the Nissan is going to sell for.
  22. http://autoblog.com/2014/01/13/2015-chrysler-200-revealed-deep-dive/?post=1&icid=autoblog_river_article Here are all the details. Highlights are: 9-speed trans on all models, AWD is standard on V6 models, up to 60% of torque can be sent to rear, Lots of options available (adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, HID's, Sat/Nav, 7 inch display in the cluster, etc) More leg and hip room over previous, Top level 200C starts at $25k
  23. Well everything will be official by 10:30, but looks like it's an 8 - speed automatic and there are several trim levels with varying degrees of aero packages, with the leaked pic being the Z07 package. http://jalopnik.com/2015-corvette-z06-more-specs-leak-out-1499947862
