  1. You mean on the new Cherokee, or on their older models? I wouldn't compare this to anything done previously.
  2. GM Tech Center is a cool place and the Milford Proving Grounds are amazing.
  3. I've had the same experience at Byers on 2 separate occasions a few years ago.
  4. +1 exactly JNAP makes the Grand Cherokee, Toledo makes the Cherokee (relpaces the Liberty). Cherokee's and Wrangler's are made in Toledo. Wow, you've made it around the Detroit area plants. Make it to Conner Ave and complete the circle.
  5. The Carrera GT is notoriously one of the most difficult cars the handle at high speed. Sad to see it's claimed 2 more victims, even though they were probably traveling way too fast on that road.
  6. A local Toledo station has been doing a segment on the Jeep plant. This video shows some of the robotics used to assemble the Cherokee. http://www.13abc.com/story/24035789/robots-are-everywhere-at-the-toledo-jeep-plant
  7. I went out last night with the wife and was surprised at the lack of crowds at most places. We walked right in to ToysRUs but spent an hour waiting to check out and there was noone at Best Buy. They still had vouchers for doorbusters at 1:30 today. We got 2 GS4's for 0.96 ea but had to wait an hour or so for the guy that coukd activate them. We ended up walking around and buying a 40" LED Samsung, 39" LED Samsung (for the in-laws), HP wireless printer, and a couple DVD's. It was tempting to pick up a Kindle Fire HD for $99, but didn't (they were still there this afternoon). Cliffs: only lines were at the checkout, no rush for door busters.
  8. They've basically already said that the NSX is a TTV6 hybrid.

    Jeep LOL

Meh, I wouldn't expect it to, but compare it to a RAV, CRV, Equinox, etc. and they are competitive numbers, but the Cherokee has more features and a nicer interior. So far I haven't read a bad review in the press, so I wouldn't say it's just my opinion.

No, it's not. The Trailhawk is the only model that gets the mileage you mentioned, and that's due to higher ride height, worse Aero, and off-road tires. For the rest of the models its only a small MPG penalty. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/2014_Jeep_Cherokee.shtml

Huh? You didn't find it on Jeeps web site because it isn't true. The 2.4L gets over 30 MPG HWY and the HP and torque numbers are consistent with the competition. What do you expect out of it? Edit: http://www.jeep.com/en/2014/cherokee/ 31 MPG HWY for 2.4L I4 and 28 MPG for the 3.2L V6.

Check out Lsx Willys on Facebook. Ironically, yellowbullet just shared some pics of it.
  13. They come prepped from the factory for plate installation. looks like the rear view camera (is that the square in the center?) took priority, which pushed the trunk handle over, which pushed the lamp over.

If people can get past the polarizing looks, it's actually a very nice SUV. The interior is nice, it drives well, it's quiet, has lots of space, and that pic is of a Trailhawk equipped model, which is extremely capable off-road. Not trying to push the company line here as I had the same reaction when I first saw it. Go drive one and you'll come away impressed when compared to its competition.

And the ZR1 has a slight aero advantage too. Sweet Jeep!
  16. Sam's Club has the Galaxy S4 16GB for 0.98 with a 2 year contract. I'm up for renewal, so I've been thinking pretty hard about this... Walmart has the same deal, but you pay $100 for the phone and get a $100 gift card in return. Best Buy has it for free too, starting at 6PM Thursday.
  17. Chrysler vehicles have a ton of hidden compartments. A couple have compartments under the passenger seat bottom, the Journey has sealed compartments under the rear floor, and the entire floor of a Stow'N'Go minivan could be considered hidden. I wonder where they draw the line, and why the hell would you go to the trouble of rigging up the taillight to pop out when you use a secret code when you could just remove it with a screwdriver, hide your stash, and it doesn't look tampered with?
  18. Thanks for letting me know. I've only been using Tapatalk and it never tells me when I have a PM. I'll reply today sometime.
  19. Mechanical Engineer here too.
  20. Yes, I think they're slated to hit dealers in Jan, last I heard. The RAM is a V6 diesel, the Nissan is a V8 Cummins that was supposed to go into the RAM, but got canned and Nissan picked it up. (At least that's what the stories on the internet say) The Nissan has more power, the RAM gets better fuel economy.
  21. Good article, but a long read. I've got my own opinions on the subject, but most of them were presented in that article.
  22. Looks love he's had a strong Movember. Actually, are we sure this guy is not part werewolf? Was this during the recent full moon? was the TM incident during a full moon too?
  23. Isn't that in imperial gallons, not US?
