  1. Quick Picks -> Flood damage Or after a search you can filter for flood damage. The bid you place on that site is a pre-bid that will essentially start the live bidding. Sounds like the only way you are guaranteed to get a car is if you work with a broker who bids on your behalf.
  2. They did say that the BRZ chassis could handle a lot more power, since they were flat out through a lot of sections, while the Genesis Coupe ran about the same times as last year, even though it has ~40 more HP now.
  3. http://www.copart.com They're out there.
  4. There are a ton of vehicles hitting auction now that have been totaled due to flood damge. This is a great time for anyone to look for a race car chassis, or something for a motor swap, IMO. Tell me all the reasons I shouldn't bid on something for a couple hundred bucks and put an LSx in it. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18ad37foidr43jpg/original.jpg
  5. Anyone following Ralph Gilles on twitter would have seen that he's doing a tour around the country right now in a brand new Viper GTS, and he's stopping along the way at some dealerships and also some Viper Club members houses. So far he's gone from Detroit to Miami (through the snow), down tto the keys, and now he's on his way to LA. While in Texas today he stopped at a Viper Club members house and posted these pics of the "garage:"
  6. It was in my mailbox on Monday.
  7. Ahhh, I suck. Thanks. P.S. This is why I F-ING HATE ADOBE FLASH! On my last computer a virus loaded on my computer when I visited a car forum. It came from a banner ad and loaded through Flash and killed my computer. I has to wipe it clean.
  8. Thanks. More or less I'm curious to know at what point do I buy the car from her for their trade-in price, if they come back with a really low number. It's in really good shape. Shortly after she got it she changed jobs and only commuted ~10 miles a day instead of 60. Then she partially retired a few years ago. Not sure why she decided she wants an SUV now, but her TSX deserves a good home.
  9. Any detail on the flaw?
  10. My mom has a 2005 Acura TSX, Auto, Pearl White, tan interior, and under 60k miles. She's looking at new cars and I figure she'll get screwed on the trade in. Opinion's? IIRC, the only available option was NAV, which she does not have.
  11. To follow the build of that IMSA Fiero, check out: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/789315 and http://the-stickman.tripod.com/Holsers.html
  12. Very nice! Love the color too.
  13. It's a shame the 88's were cancelled and those updates didn't come earlier. It was the first year it got its own suspension. The rest of the model years it was just a Chevette suspension. The 2.8 V6 was ok, but it never got a worthy engine either. It was supposedly handicapped since nothing was allowed to be faster than the Vette, which is why it didn't get the 3800. Even the 1984 Indy Pace Car had a 230+ HP four cylinder, but the production cars got the Iron Duke.

    Why have two giant failboats?
  15. P.S. that guys "build thread" used to be on his CarDomain page.
  16. Eh, the end of the C3 doesn't do it for me as much as the earlier cars, the early C4's didn't either, but I have seen some good looking ones. I have always liked the Fiero, and they weren't all slow. The 88's were supposedly as fast as the C4 around some of GM's handling tracks, but that car didn't live long. The yellow car you posted is a full tube chassis IMSA replica. The guy put a ton of work into it.
  17. Usually don't like many 80's GM cars... http://images.carcraft.com/featuredvehicles/116_0312_05_z+monte_carlo+front.jpg
  18. That is a very good looking, modified example. It didn't come from the factory with those fender flares and had ~105-130HP through it's production run, according to Wikipedia (which amounts to some fat, shirtless dude typing from his fap-cave, but's it's all I got).
  19. Good thing it was fiberglass... http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/73079_566211476729492_413004298_n.jpg

  22. You mean perpendicular? Yeah, it sounds like what I thought. The problem is understeer is very hard to control. You can brake the inside rear wheel, but too much brake will induce oversteer (like pulling the e-brake), so some cars apply brakes to some or all the wheels in order to slow the car down. I think you got into heavy understeer control. Had you been in "sport mode," i.e. brakes only, no engine control, you may have been able to power out of it as well.
