  1. That has to be the longest, most worthless dyno video on the internet. It looks like he installed a dyno in his basement, then paid a 5 year old to record and edit the video for him.
  2. OH NO! People on Facebook are talking shit!? GM had better scrap the whole project. It may have only gained ~20 hp over a LS3, but the turque curve matches an LS7 up to 4000 rpm. The car has dropped weight in some area's, gained it in others. There's no official curb weight yet though. With the Z51 package it pulls over 1G on the skidpad and will absolutely haul on a road course. Every aspect of this car is better than the C6. Styling is subjective, but seeing it in person I think it looks great. It's a very lean, athletic appearance that it obviously an evolution of the Corvette design. The C7 Corvette design has been frozen since long before the Viper was released, so any resemblance is coincidental.
  3. I like the looks of the 4C but was hoping it would be a lot cheaper than $50k. So it's an est. 230 HP coupe that could cost about as much as a C7 Vette that comes with 450HP, standard and optional carbon fiber bits, and pulls over a G on the skidpad (with the Z51 package added)? Karacho - That roadster looks like they ripped off the Sky/Solstice Jewtoys - Sounds like your neighbor has an 8C. They only brought ~90 of them to the US and they are beautiful
  4. Glad to hear it. If you don't mind me asking, how serious is her reaction to caisen? Just GI problems?
  5. I was there yesterday too and I have to agree 100%. I think even the rear end looks better in person, although it looks best from a 3/4 view as opposed to straight behind. I think the car is going to be amazing, if they can keep the base around $50k. I want one.
  6. Jesus, could they find the biggest fucking hippes in the world to represent one side of the argument? I'm not going to turn this into an organic vs. non-orgainic argument thread, and clearly you didn't read into my sarcasm of playing into the electric/hybrid car owner role. I don't buy organic, however I would be careful of the statement "there is no scientific evidence of..." In this case there is no scientific evidence of pesticides being harmful to health or cancer causing because there has never been a comprehensive study conducted. There is no evidence because there is no data. Even the latest study that came out a few months ago said that there was no difference found in nutritional content of organic and non-organic vegetables, however there were higher levels of pesticides found on the non-organinc veges. But there is currently no scientific evidence (meaning a peer-reviewed comprehensive study of long duration) that says these chemicals are harmful to your health.
  7. I think it look awesome, and the interior is really nice. Hopefully they fix the CUE system from the miserable fail of the ATS that I've been driving. P.S. Organic food is better for you ;P
  8. I see what people are referring to, but it's also easy to see that many of these design elements are an evolution of the Corvette design, including the Centennial concept from a few years ago.
  9. As I read it, the aluminum frame is 99 lbs lighter than the outgoing Z06/ZR1 frame, but total curb weight is not yet released. They had to add some additional weaight due to the direct injection, cylinder deactivations, etc., but also removed it in other places with lighter materials. The red car they are showing looks amazing. Still split on my thoughts of the rear, but I'm happy with it otherwise.
  10. In an hour we'll know for sure, but from what I've seen I'm willing to bet it's the real deal. It's too bad they look so much alike (although I think they look good), but the design of the Vette has been frozen since long before the new Viper design went public, so it's just a coincidence. More pics leaked from R&T. http://jalopnik.com/5975352/the-2014-corvette-this-is-it
  11. My guess is it just gives the driver control of a valve in the exhaust, like they have on the Z06, except now you can select different calibrations for when it opens. 7PM tonight, according to GM's Facebook. 99StockGT - are you going to the industry day on the 18th, or just the first public day on the 19th? I think I'll take a day off mid-week and head down there.

  13. P.S. $100k+ in a Supra and it only runs the quarter in 8:64. Lousy women drivers. now she has a GTR and will run 8.64, since all she'll have to to is hit the gas while doing her nails.
  14. It's sad to see the car chopped up like that. Can we lift my spirits by turning this in to a Jessica Barton pic thread?
  15. Before I talked to her she traded it in last week. Germain Lexus listed it for sale today. It's a very clean car with low miles, just a few rock chips on the front. Should be a good car for someone. http://www.germainlexusdublin.com/VehicleDetails/used-2005-Acura-TSX-AT-Dublin-OH/1906178353
  16. Almost $100k in BOLTS?! Jesus! For me it's between Pagani and Koenegsegg on who is truly the ultimate car builder. I'm looking forward to the /DRIVE series that goes inside Koenigsegg and I'll reserve my judgement on McLaren until after the P1 comes out.
  17. Keg belted in to the passanger seat. Been there, done that
  18. That WAS a MKIV Supra, before it got gang raped by an R8, Continental GT, and a tanker truck full of bondo.
  19. It looks like ITB's with an airbox around them.

Is that a JDM 3rd gen?
  21. Blacked out headlights, brake cooling ducts, front mount intercooler, dual exhaust, and a wind deflector that says "RED LINE" between the front seats.
