Well, I've been in the Columbus area since 1988 and I have been offered a job in Solon. I will be staying in Akron, where I was born and spent 7 years of my life. I will miss being local, but life has taken me back to where it all started. Hell, maybe I will finally meet JP the colt master...haha. The good news is that there is a drive in right around the corner from where I will be that has cruise ins regularly. I will also have to call Norwalk and 42 my home tracks now too It's been fun and who knows, maybe I will be back in town someday. Only time will tell.

Hell yes that is impressive. I think people are jaded as can be with track times these days. It wasn't that long ago that a "street" car going 9's meant that it was basically a race car with plates. Now we have full weight actual street cars with amenities running in the 9s. Crazy times. Love that statement. What slush box from the 80s or 90s would even think about handling 900 hp? Let's keep this shit going and not kill it off like the mid to late 70s....

Well, then I have to agree with what they did. Just not how they went about it. Shitty that they wouldnt let the colt run in the slick lane though. That doesn't make much sense.

It is a bitch to properly prep a track and street tires do kill it. Some of the newer drag radials are damn near slicks now anyway Did they restrict those? I guess if they let you guys/us know what the deal was prior to the rental it wouldn't have been an issue. I've always been one to consider paying more for solid prep, but I don't think that we would get enough guys/gals to buy into that.

Haha. I'm going to BG to hang out and watch a couple 86s and a 90 GT roll out. Hoping to see them get into the top 8 stick cars for the shootout.

The stock cam, intake, and heads on a pushrod 5.0 aren't all that great. A cam with stock heads and intake will sound cool, but won't increase power too much. Pullies and bumping timing are cheap ways of freeing up hp and torque.

Nobody on here races....too bad a bunch of us are going to NMRA in Bowling Green next weekend.

The IRS in the 03/04 Cobra's was junk. About an extra 120 lbs over the solid axle in the Mach 1 too. I'd love to have this car too.
