  1. It won't be much of a race, since it isn't anything special, my car that is.
  2. He is probably one of the, if not the best, drivers I have ever ridden with. I know the car ran that time stock. I guess everyone is used to the guys that don't know to drive and take 2 seconds to let off of the gas and shift. Sorry about the rant, but it drives me crazy when people base opinions of cars on shitty drivers.
  3. I finally got the car back together and it should be out and broken in within a couple of weeks. It is already running, but I need to get some miles on it before I get crazy with it.
  4. Nothing wrong with AFR's at all. Trick flow has a nice package that they sell now, just look in a summit catalog. I have heard, from a reliable source, that a set of AFR's(165's) and a holley intake are killer and that was with the stock cam, so just think about that with an aftermarket cam.
  5. Trick flow says that 224 degrees of duration at .050 lift is the most that you can use with stock pistons and the twisted wedge heads, so the f-cam would have too much duration.
  6. If you bought the one from Mike(slow 5.0), it was already hand ported some`.
  7. 4.10's would probably get your car out of the hole harder, but go with the 3.73's if you drive on the highway alot. I really liked my 4.10 gear for the 8 days that I had it in before the motor went. I also liked the 3.73, but the way that the car liked to rev I decided to put the 4.10 in when the differential took a shit.
  8. I'm sure the stock T5 and stock clutch would just LOVE that idea, lol.</font>Well, if the driver really "powershifts" the stock t-5 would break on a 14sec car.
  9. beat her with an otherwise useless stock cam? </font>I've got a stock cam that I can donate.
  10. I have one thing to say, blown head gaskets. tuning a supercharged car can be tricky for most people. Speaking of tuning, WHEN YOU PUT HEADS ON A CAR IT NEEDS A NEW TUNE. Timing, fuel, a good combo to go along with the heads. When it comes to 5.0s it is never just adding a part and having it work perfectly. I went from 102 mph to 108 mph by just messing around with a few things, not adding any parts, just tweaking the combo. Oh, I guess you missed the part in 5.0 about what happened when they combined the supercharger with the rest of the combo, hmmmm I think they made even more power and they probably could have made alot more with more fuel and timing, but what do know about any of this
  11. speedo gear, crossmember if he doesn't modify the one he has, and a little bit of patience.
  12. Damn, you act like you only have two mods on your car .
  13. Nice to see you stuck with the stang world. Not to sure about the shop since I do my own work on my car. This is funny since a friend of mine just purchased a 92gt vert with cherry bombs on it. He can't wait to get them off.
  14. If I wasn't going out of town I might show you how it's done, but it can be done.
  15. Get what up any further? The flow tube?
  16. Same thing happened to my friend. He put his h-pipe on and it had a large leak, needless to say he had it back fire when he was piping somebody and almost scared the shit out of them. So double check and make sure that it is properly tightened and go from there.
  17. Shoot me a pm on what you are doing. I don't work on Thurday and I would like to see under the hood, my bro used to have a 94 TA and I did some work on it, so I might be able to give assistance.
  18. Jegs? Let me know what time you're gonna be there and I may swing by..</font>Well, probably between 10 and 11. I'll be out in the area after, but not sure how late.
  19. Hey Sam, if you still have it bring it out Friday I'm kind of curious what it would say about mine.
  20. If you do plan on getting the Tremec, I know where you can get one for $1,149. The transmissions are brand new and have nothing wrong with them. All the cobra r tranny is, is a 3550 tremec tranny, but jegs won't price match because the one they sell has a ford part #, but is exactly the same as a 3550.
  21. I'll have to agree with 20gTSI on this one. I know atleast six different people who have installed motorsport gearsets in their cars and the trick is to use the shims from the original pinion gear.
  22. It isn't to hard to put gears in a mustang, but if you don't know what you are doing it could be a problem. I would definitely suggest getting some help from someone with some experience installing gears.
  23. I hope that you will be getting alot more than headers, exhaust, and a gear for $3,000. For that kind of money you should be able to get alot more. I think that there is also someone on this site who is selling a set of TFS heads that have some work done to them. That would definitely help your car out, but putting them on isn't exactly easy.
