  1. I bought an 89 Mustang LX hatch 4 cylinder to use as a daily driver. The car definitely needs some help, but I'm trying to get it figured out. I've already replaced plugs, wires, and cap and rotor. Used some oil cleaner, changed the oil, and replaced it with a quart of engine reconditioner and high mileage oil. I also put in some fuel additive to clean the injectors. The car runs a little better, and idles correctly now, but there is still an obvious problem. First of all, the car came with a 1 and 3/4" header and a 2 1/2" straight pipe. The car also has a rubber short ram intake with a large cone filter sitting right over top of the header. Obviously this is quite overkill for the car, but my main concern is that there is no MAS or o2 sensors. The car has nothing monitering the airflow or exhaust. The car runs extrememly rich (smells like straight gasoline out the tailpipe). I'm in the process of replacing the exhaust with a stock manifold, downpipe, cats and a new catback. What are the issues I'm looking at though to get this thing running correctly if the motor is sound? If I replace the o2 sensors how much will that help? What can I do to monitor the fuel injection? Any ideas or suggestions will help! Thanks.
  2. I'm posting this for a friend, so please don't PM me or ask for more information. The Good: 1992 Honda Accord 4 door Automatic 210,000 miles but still runs strong. Car has a new battery and has been well kept as far as routine maintenence goes. Power windows and locks all work. Comes with a Kenwood CD player. The Bad: Small areas of rust around the rear wheel wells and no muffler. $1000 OBO Please contact Kyle Preston 614-746-6448 kpreston1621@aol.com
  3. I know this may be a long shot, but I'm looking for a stock exhaust from a 2.3 liter non-turbo motor for my 89 4 cylinder Mustang. I need the manifold back. The car I bought has a header and a 2.5" exhaust on the tiny little 2.3... it's killing the car and I would like to find a stock unit to replace it with.

  5. I sold my car and don't have anything to drive at the moment. I'm looking for something with little to no rust, and no mechanical issues. Mileage is not a problem as long as the car has been cared for and is in good condition. Let me see what you've got.

  15. anyone? i need to get this thing running so i can drive it the next few months!
  16. Ok... I bought this car not running. It needed a fuel pump so I got everything taken care of and now the transmission is screwed up. The car is a 91 LeBaron GTC 3.0 V6 with the electronic 4 speed (a604). I don't really know anything about transmissions, but to me the problem seems very odd. When you first start the car and put it in drive, it will pull right away without a problem. Once it gets to the point where it should shift into 2nd it just starts slipping. Once it starts slipping, it is very hard to get the car moving. Once you turn the car off and start it back up, it pulls away without a problem again. It will do this consistently. Reverse works fine and there is a proper amount of fluid. The front seal also leaks, so I haven't tried flushing the system due to being scared it might make the leak worse. I've also never pulled off the pan to check the filter either. ANy ideas? Taran
  17. This truck is hot. All the hard work has been done! Tear it down and redo it how you want, leave it how it is, who gives a fuck! This is definitely a good deal.
