  1. Ok... ive been an import guy for about 3 years. Ive had a 90 CRX Si w/ JDM b16a2, 95 Eclipse GSX and a 95 Talon TSi AWD. Well recently my dad decided to sell his 93 Mustang GT and I've decided to sell my Talon to get the Mustang... the car has a few little mods, H-Pipe, flowmaster catback, bbk cai, short shifter and some shorty headers. My question to you guys is, what is the basic upgrade path with the 5.0's? I was thinking about trying to fabricate my own TT set-up later on in the future, but untill then I want a little extra kick in the pants without spray. Where should I go from where I'm at? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

  4. I am looking at throwin a junkyard turbo kit onto a Civic HB just to have a fun little car to putz around in and drive in the winter. I pretty much know what I need to pick up, but could someone make a basic list of what I would need to make this happen? I am looking at using a t-25, DSM sidemount or Conquest front mount, 2g BOV, etc and running around 6 psi on a b18a. What other miscellaneous parts would i need? Thanks!
  5. what are lon tubes and TFS top end? I was thinking of running a 75 shot with the current mods... is that safe? Let me know.   6. My dad and I bought a 93 Mustang GT 5.0 today. Its only got 35k miles. Car already has: Short Shift Kit H-pipe Flowmaster Exhaust Shortie Headers Underdrive Pulleys Subframe Connectors My question is what should I do next? Gearing? I am relativley new to the fuel injected V8's since I have been working with a 65 Shelby GT350 and a 95 Eclipse GSX. Let me know. Thanks

    At times when I am at WOT my RPM's keep going up slowly and the exhaust gets louder, but it feels like I am going nowhere and then the car starts stuttering and popping and it makes a funky noise out of the exhaust. I have been told it could be a boost leak or fuel cut. Please let me know if you have any other ideas. Also, do you know someone who could check this out for me? Thanks. ps. it happens the worst when i am cruising along in 3-5 gear at around 2k rpm and i floor it. Could this be a problem with the turbo? It seems as if this always occurs when i am above 10psi or over 2800 rpm. I just want to know what the F is going on so I can fix it.... its getting bad. thanks
  11. Could anyone give me a good estimate on how much it would cost to completely rebuild a tranny from a 95 Eclipse GSX? Also, does anyone know of any places that do good tranny work? Please let me know! Thanks. Taran
  12. Yes... the smoke does increase with RPM's. My friend hasnt even driven the car yet! He just bought it from some gay guy graemlins/gay.gif in Germantown who didnt seem like he would be driving it hard. If it was the rings, could anyone give me an estimate of how much that might cost?   13. My friend has a 94 Integra RS and it is ideling at 2k... thats not the problem... it is spitting oil out of his exhaust and it is smoking like crazy. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? The only thing I knew of was a craked block.. is that a possibility? Please let me know of anything that it could be. Thanks. Taran
  14. Hey, I am looking to buy a s14 240sx and turning it into a s14 Silvia clone. I have a few ideas of how to go about this starting with an s14 sr20det and an s15 6 speed tranny, but where should i go from there? Also... does anyone know where I could find one of these engines and where I could get it installed for a good price? What kind of mods should I do if i swap in the sr20det? Thanks for any help.   15. Okay... first off I'd like to say thanks for all of that info! I'm gonna try to answer those questions as reasonable as I can and maybe you can tell me whats up. Okay first off it's a... 95' GSX with 75k miles As far as I know the car has been regularly maintained and never driven hard (untill i bought it ) The problem started about 4 weeks ago all of a sudden and since then it has been getting worse. It is alot worse in the cold (boost loves cold weather) but it still happens once the car is warmed up. It only happens when I boost. The idle is still the same as it has always been. Check ups: When the problem first started occuring and I had no idea what was going on I took it to passen to see what they had to say. They checked it out and said that there was a bunch of oil in my spark plug wells like someone had spilled it in there. They replaced my plugs and wires and checked out my turbo. Rojer told me that something had gotten through the intake and pitted up my turbine and that may be a cause of the stutter. The plugs and wires did not make a difference. I have since then had my oil changed and that's it. Since I am still very much in the learning process with my car I would really have no idea as to how to check for a vaccum/boost leak or my fuel pressure. As for fuel, i only run 93+ octane at ALL times. Nothing less has been fed into the gas tank since i have owned it. Also another problem has recently started. When I start my car it turns on and then something clicks and grinds for about 1 sec. i have NO idea what this is either. Maybe the 2 are connected... maybe my car is just falling apart.   16. I have a 95' Eclipse GSX and I have been having some problems lately. In 2,3,4,5 gears my car stutters when I nail it but rides smoothly if I'm just driving normal. I'm thinking that this might have something to do with the turbo since I don't boost in 1st gear but I do in the remaining gears. If my turbine was pitted would this cause this to happen? Please let me know. THanks. Taran
