If my wife is coming home late, odds are I will have the lights on and be waiting on her. In the event I would fall asleep, the sound of her key opening the lock would be identifiable from someone whacking a window or a door to gain entry. Given that my wife has a key to the house, I would asume she would use it rather than attempting to use a window anyways.

Depends, how much are you willing to spend? If it already had an oil burner, not a whole lot. If it is a gasser, you will need to rhrow in the cost of a diesel engine. Also, are you wanting to go the biodiesel route, or just run vegie oil? Straight vegie oil typicaly requires a second tank, unless you want a driveway ornament when the temp drops below about 50*

So, if you need to go 5 miles out of your way to get to the other side, in theory a cop would need to go 5 miles out of thier way to get to your side of the closure to issue a traffic citation, right?
