thanks for the pics im in. id love to pick them up friday! cash.

the whole idea is to let the front end move freely. so that the car can transfer more weight. same idea with moroso trick springs store a lot of energy and transfer more weight. stock v6 springs are good for this too. v8 springs are very stiff more for cornering. camaros also have a good weight bal and a lot of weight to move wich makes them pull wheels fairly easy arround 11.50s and faster. hell ive seen stick cars do it running high 12s.

would if u used your transbrake. and left at full throttle. lol
-
if you still have this friday consider it sold. check my trader ratings no bs here. i can give you 100 if need b to hold it? but id rather do it all at onve. its going to be a christmas present for my boy. shhhhhh dont tell him hes gona shit.

i need to get the exhaust leeks fixed. and get back out with the anti roll bar installed. u can see it in the pic in my sig the truck kinda leans to the pasanger side. may be some 60 ft left in it there. and im going to norwalk next to test.

id guess a 8.8 would be like a 14.0 14.2 range way too lean. my carb dude said if i opened the powervalves sooner they would net more fuel and i could use less jet for cruise that worked like a charm my cruise afr at 3000 went from 6.3 way to rich to a 8.9 9.0 perfectly acceptible. but i jumped from the 82s i had in it to 88 thinking that would be close enough. and nope it wasent needs 91s front and 92 rears. oh well. things that the lm1 is teaching me is amazing. the 8.99 was on 15lbs. three runs was 15lbs. one was 13.

hey guys went 8.991 at 139.7 had to let out due to it being lean and poping. my first 8 was a 8.965 at 150 almost 151 with a 1.29 60 ft. this one was a 1.3469 60ft 5.7751 1/8th at 125.97. i cant believe with the crappy 60 it was still pulling enough through the middle to go 8.99.wonder what it would have ran with enough fuel and a normal 1.2 60ft. also ran a 9.0359 at 149.11, 9.1292 at 144.33, and the first low boost pass of 9.1859 at 145.19. i pulled my main jet down from 91 to 88. damn thing was too lean. was a 6.3 afr e85 scale, now was a 8.8. oops

try it without the front sway bar and skinnys. makes for a way better hookin car. you proably have more 60ft in it. u can always put the bar back on for some twisties. if your not plannin on taking corners at 55mph you dont need it.

ur in columbus? id do this but i already spent my money. id love to pick it all up friday though if you have it ill pay the 300. this is mattsv8 from cr. with the purple turbo s10
-
my s10 ran 11.50 at 115 with 308 on the dyno. congrats on the times
-
sweet man. get those heavy fronts off. and are you running a front sway bar? if so get it off there too. she should move evan harder. and spray first the tq will help it to hook and 60 harder.
-
looks bigger than a 91 or its just the small motor making it look big. kinda like a penis on a midget.
-
all i want to know is why is a lambo going to pickups plus for wheels? is columbus really that lame u have to go to a truck shop for lambo wheels? wow. i like the new ones better. hate the car though. convertable top is hidious on that car.
-
i like mine.
-
i was thinking cam too. theres a shit ton of ls motors on here.
-
ok where and when. and do i need to add some spray? can i bring the whole family?
-

t56 or th400 and brake in the 89 turbo blazer build
Mattsv8 replied to Mattsv8's topic in Passing Lane
its actually a prety tight converter in th s10 a 10" ati fuel blown 3500 stall and full lock on brake at 3500. way tighter than im used too. but it dosent have all the slip like the other converters i tired. -
How much power can a lightly built 700r4 take?
Mattsv8 replied to coltboostin's topic in Tech and Tips
no lock up converters. the looser the converter the more slip there is. id say if ur going to drive it and you want it close to a lock up go with a 10" converter about 3500 stall. 7" converter more slip 8" less 9" evan less 9.5 10 u get the picture. closer to a 10" will allow less slip and put more power down. the ati in the s10 is a fuel blown 10" $1500 converter. full power at 3500 and its done no more slip. a small amout cause its a converter. but damn near full lock. a glide would work good for you cause car is light -
t56 or th400 and brake in the 89 turbo blazer build
Mattsv8 replied to Mattsv8's topic in Passing Lane
cause it dont need them. the th400 stock clutches hold verywell. and unlike alto reds. do better long term use. reds wear faster and are arround 100 for each pack. not including steels. never once had a clutch fail. and thats 3yrs worth of beating on the trans going low 9s and high 8s. plus many street drives with high trans temps. there is no doubt the blazer will only be mild for a short term i cant leave nothing alone.! im already leaning toward a 80mm. or the 88 off my s10. wich would be arround 800whp. thinking of going with a bb 106 in the s10 with the new motor. -

the turbo setup will be a winter build. if your serious and the price was right i would hold off. main reason for wanting to get it in now is to move the motor trans combo back and make the new mounts. wana make room for a larger turbo in it just in case. i already have 3 built th400s. they just need the hipsters brake added and their ready to rock. so when i wana go fast i can just swap to the th400 and swap driveshafts. from the research i did while at work a 93 mn6 is 3.36 2.07 1.35 1.00 .80 .62 a 94 is a m12 2.97 2.07 1.93 1.00 .80 .62 and the 95-97 is a mm6 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 .74 .50 wich is the gearing i need. turbos deff dont need close ratios or a 3.36 for first im running a 3.73 rear gear and that may be too much. but will work good for crusing. im hooking the cruise control back up too. -

yea big problem here mark 1400 at the motor th400. me 900 th400. man i dont see the logic. my th 400 uses all stock parts a hipsters brake and a drum for a diff sprag. thats it bud u think a th 350 is going to hold over 1000 hp and 800 ftlbs? this isint a game. ive blown plenty of th 350s before going with a th400. power dont mean shit when the trans in in peices. try again. i use stock clutches too. damn i guess they are far weeker than a th350 with smaller clutches too. no doubt a th350 may hold my new setup at 550 hp but what happens when i wana change to a larger charger in a month or two and it wont hold, plus a th350 isint a direct swap with a t56. -
