No, first vid was awesome because it was beautiful. Perfect landing and a clean drive-away. The second video was just a couple morons trashing a pretty nice car, with no skill involved at all.

You need to start now, then. If you know the lowest point in your yard, dig yourself about a 2' hole into the yard there, drop a cut-down garbage can or bucket in it and pack in around it. Make sure the top of the can or bucket is JUST below the the level of the dirt. Drop a submersible pump in it as soon as you notice things melting, NOT after you notice puddles. If you use a bigger enclosure, you can set a second pump in if one doesn't keep up.

Kudos to the OLD BLACK WOMAN for being the only person on that bus to actually have enough sense to tell the black guy to just let it go.
-
Wasn't anything epic about that vid. Dude was minding his own business when that old fucktard decided to spout off some racial shit. I'd actually say it's too bad the black guy DIDN'T get in a few good ones. Old fucker deserved to get smacked. OTOH, the black guy could have left it when the old fucktard moved to the front. That he didn't let it go is on him. Arrest em both for mutual combat and disorderly conduct.

Not sure if I like the idea of pulling the valves closed with a solid mechanical linkage. Even the tiniest mis-adjustment in lash would spell instant and total catastrophe. I think I like BMW's idea of using a powerful solenoid to open and close the valve better. Much less complicated, much less chance of catoing, and it also offers instant and near-infinite timing adjustability.

You're hosed. Buy a backup sump pump now, because there WILL be flooding when this shit melts. Me personally, I'd love one last BIG blast of snow. My all-seasons haven't even worked up a sweat yet, and I have a garage and a second-story apartment, along with a ton of spaghettios in the cabinets and a closet full of ammo.

Agreed, intro pages are nothing but an annoyance unless you have a product that lends itself to exciting video footage. Also, the banner up top is a bit lame. The pic is tiny, and the company name color kind of fades into background color. Aside from that, it looks pretty good. Seems to be easy to navigate, although I haven't tried any of the features, just farted around a couple pages.

This is basically what my Dad has, but he's got the bigger 3cyl diesel motor and backhoe attachment. For plowing his driveway, he has a plow for the three-point. Tough little bugger, I've even used it for knocking down 8" thick locust trees in the summer. Buyer beware, though. The tires are proprietary size, at least for the front. Stone bitch to find a replacement tire. His driveway is almost exactly 1/4 of a mile long. We've had pizza guys turn around halfway up it, thinking they'd gotten onto some kind of access road instead of our driveway. http://images03.olx.com/ui/2/91/28/18738328_1.jpg

Oh, so it's a similar principle to a push-mower? Interesting.

It wasn't actually at the Expo. It was some other old storefront with Southland in the name. It's the one right there in front of the BMX track.

Stop talking. You just admitted you're defending thievery. Sorry, pay for your shit or don't play. If by "backup" you mean a copy made in case your original disc gets fucked up somehow, well, I don't own a single unusable CD or DVD. Take care of your discs and you don't need backups. The ONLY reason I defend jailbreaking iPhones is that it's the only way to enable your iPhone to use software not developed or approved by Apple. Those who use it to pirate Apple-approved software are the same as people who pirate any other kind of media or software.

I didn't say MS wasn't out for the almighty Dollar, but face it, gaming hacks are mostly about getting an illegal advantage over other gamers. That DOES affect the company's bottom line, because people don't want to play games where a large number of people are hacking their characters to near-God Mode.

Just a little...

I just looked at that pic again...WTF kind of snowblower or shovel is that? I don't see motor or wheels?
-
KeeRist! It has an OPTIONAL motor...1300hp...

There's a few decent-sized shows, but around here everything at the shows is either seriously over-priced, or shit. You can easily find fifty or sixty Garands for under $1000, but they'll all be shot-out trash. Anything new will be over-priced by at least 10%. After this weekend's show at Southland, I'm giving up on going to any shows and I'll just buy online or from CMP.

Um, YES, it is a better business model. Apple may well get themselves into anti-trust territory if they keep going the way they are now. And you can hardly compare opening sales between the FIRST 3G phone, and the later opening sales of a SIMILAR phone that came out in a saturated market. Wait a few years and see how the sales trends go.

Not familiar with the McCalren F1, huh? I like this final version a LOT better than the first couple concepts. FF to 2:00: Leave it to Canadians to put New Beetle tails on a supercar, though. Still, I'd drive it. Hmm, hopped-up LS9 under the back end, too. Want. SEMA interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXh5ecXNS5U&feature=related

Jesus, that Venice comment isn't far off the mark. Think about this: we probably have more actual volume of snow on the Mississippi watershed than there has been for decades....when this shit melts, the eastern half of the United States isn't going to flood, it's gonna fucking SINK.

A lot of the hacks out there are to allow iPhone users to install apps not approved by Apple. Apple's AppStore policies are positively draconian, and developers usually see VERY little of the money from the sales of their apps. In fact, some developers have seen their apps pulled from the app store so that Apple can push their own equivalent app and not have to pay out even the small royalty they give outside developers.

XBox Live is a totally different type of operation. With game hackers, you're talking about a hack that affects the way the game operates for OTHER users and takes away the level playing field that the game is based on. With the iPhone, 99% of hacks are to make the phone more usable for it's owners and don't affect anyone else. Apple's policy involving the AppStore and hackers is purely to preserve it's own monopoly on software for the device. Droid and the upcoming MS WM7 have shown a much smarter business model of embracing open development by other companies and users.

Less awesome than this: Keep watching, you'll see it: Dude talking about the car: http://www.qv500.com/porsche911scp4.php Dude made it through ALL the special stage of the Transsyberia Rally, including mud roads so deeply churned up that the Cayennes and Mercedes that do so well everywhere else were reduced to winching their way down the roads...

Jehova's Witnesses. Politicians. Old men who plow snow onto Hal's sidewalk.

I'm thinking it's time for someone to finally produce the Y-Job...with suitable updates under the skin, of course.
