First off, Bush DID inherit a down-turn, then he turned it into the beginnings of a recession, BEFORE 9/11 2. So what if Saddam was a psycho, the only threat he posed was to his own people, and while I could see taking him out for THAT alone, Bush pulled intelligence from BAD sources, and came up with the WMD theory. Saddam wasn't going anywhere that would threaten us or our allies. There was NO terrorist threat what-so-ever in Iraq, Al-Quaida didn't like him any more than we did. And our presence in the region has de-stabilized it MORE. 3. WE HAVE TROOPS IN SOUTH KOREA, THAT'S THE FARTHEST THOSE MISSILES NEED TO GO! And, if N. Korea DID happen to hit S. Korea or (not likely I'd say) Japan, then we have a full-blown war WITH A NUCLEAR POWER!!! 4. Don't EVER say, one of MY Democrats. I vote my conscience, and it just so happens that the Democrats share more of my views than Republicans do. I am a registered Independent, not that I would ever vote for a lunatic like Perot, or a fuck-up like Nader. BTW is everyone who posted here a registered voter? You know, I looked through all the posts on this topic again, and I have a conclusion. First though I will say this; Bush IS a bad President, not just because he got us into Iraq(Aphganistan I will happily say was neccessary, though the administration had more than it's fair share of bad war-policy there' too.), but because of what he is doing to our country. He has given tax cuts to the top 5% of earners, encouraged companies to move tech-jobs overseas, written horribly damaging enviromental policy, pissed off half of the globe with his foreign policies, etc, etc... Meanwhile for you Kerrey-bashers, look closer at his record. What the republicans aretouting as wishy-washy-ness is John Kerrey voting his conscience. LOOK at the bills he voted against, then LOOK at what was attached to them in the way of pork and slime. CONSIDER that no GOOD bill ever makes it through Congress without all kinds of utter SHIT attached as riders and amendments. That said, my conclusion is this; not meaning any dis-respect to anyone, the author of this topic, the administrators, or the members who replied to this; but I think this topic should be ERASED. It is generating too much hostility, and I think that some of the disagreements contained here-in are best left ALONE. This site is about cars and going way too fast, let's keep it that way.

BUT THE WAR IN IRAQ IS NOT ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR FUCKING COUNTRY AND WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE anyone who thinks that Iraq was legitimately part of the "War on Terror" is a fucking moron and I will say that to their face! What should have been done, when we advocated civil rebellion in Iraq after the Gulf War, we should have stuck to the promises we made and provided the arms that we guaranteed! Thank Bush Sr. for fucking up that one. As for Aphganistan, notice that we hear very little from there lately, does anyone even think Osama's still there? Al-quaida should have been dealt with after the Cole was attacked, when they were still fairly centralized. Not just the little Tomahawk POS they dropped on ONE camp, but Daisy-Cutters on every known Al-Quaida camp out there. Thank you Billy-boy. As for Bush being our "Elected President", did I vote for him? No, and neither did well over half of the rest of the country! Bush got the Presidency though a combination of imcompetency, corruption, and overwhelming financial advantage un-heard in this country before. And, it's not just the War in Iraq that makes me call him an idot, look how badly he and his cronies have fucked up our economy! The only reason he is still in office is that the Founding Fathers never thought to include a no-confidence-vote measure in the Constitution. I support our troops in Iraq, Aphganistan, and around the world, BUT I WILL NOT DIE FOR THE POLITICAL AMBITIONS OF AN IDIOT. And, yes, we should look at who is advocating these bills, notice, maybe, that they're being pushed by people that have NEVER been in the military. I can handle a rifle as well as anybody and if any country is ever stupid enough to set their army's feet on our shores, I will be out in the woods with a whole Hell of a lot of ammo.

Had an experience similar to your friend's pepsi-can incident myself, about 4 years ago. Stopped at the light where Refugee becomes 104, and some moron in an older Monte pulls up next to me, starts buggin me, revving, power-braking, etc...(I was driving an old beater base-model '90 Taurus at the time)I make no response what-so-ever. Light turns green and he takes off hard, when he realizes I'm not trying to race him he gets pissed and tosses a 2-liter bottle of water at me. Thing hits my A-pillar about 1/2" above where I was resting my fingers, and sprays water all over me. He takes off and now I am trying to catch him. He pulls shit like pulling up beside a bus and pacing it, speeds up to about 120, tries a final, desperate dive for the High Street exit, where I pull in front of him and block him. I get out, I'm gonna let this ass-hole know EXACTLY what I think of him. He starts to get out of the car, BIG mistake, as soon as his foot hits the ground, I kick his door, it slams on his leg, and I leave him sitting in his car. If I broke his fuckin' leg so much the better! If we didn't have stupid people like that, road rage wouldn't exist. For anyone who thinks I went too far, if that 2-liter had hit the windshield square, it would have gone straight through and hit ME, while I was traveling at 75mph. Toss-up on whether I could have kept the car under control. I WAS RIGHT. I feel for you and your buddy... Man, I thought I was having a bad week... My motor spragged, low oil-pressure, I need a new motor due to internal probs, dealer I bought it from tried to scam me by not turning in the warranty paperwork(he's eating the cost, no matter what I have to do to get the money from him), and I'm driving my Dad's gas-hog MULE of a Chevy truck, it's eating my tips in gas(I deliver pizza), $90 in the last 5 days, my tips totalled to $105, Bonnie would have gone through $50 at the most. On top of that I had planned to go to the Chrysler Nats this weekend and couldn't cause Dad needed his truck.

OK... the wings actually added very little weight, and since it was over the rear tires that would have helped balance anyway. The wing not only provided downforce, but it also added directional stability to the car as well, helping control the tendency of the rear to come out in the corners.
