  1. Rich people don't want poor people to have access to their areas. Story of this fucking city.
  2. All I can think of when I see this thread http://www.cc.com/video-clips/3cv2kt/chappelle-s-show-dudes--night-out---uncensored start at 1:00 for relevant section
  3. Napoleon's 5'6" was probably pretty normal in the 1800s when shitty nutrition made for much smaller people. Also mainland Have you ever been to France? At 6'3" I smash my head pretty much everywhere.
  4. DONKMARO DISAGREES. http://www.speednik.com/files/2012/11/zl1.jpg On a related note, has a donk ever been photographed outside of a Nieman Marcus or Saks? I don't know that I've ever seen a donk out front of anything more "upscale" than a KMart.
  5. To clarify: Challenger can be had with 6MT or 8AT. Charger can only be had with 8AT. I don't believe there is any Charger currently available with MT, so for it to be available with MT they'd have to crash a bunch of cars to make sure it complies with either transmission. All that for a predicted single-digit take rate for MT in the Charger. Cost/benefit clearly sided with no manual for the 4 door.
  6. What boring, uncreative bastard names their son John Johnson. "The men in this family will only ever have one name henceforth, and it shall be John, son of John."
  7. Yeah probably a mode in which it ceases to function as either a phone, SMS device, or any other gadget associated with normal cell phone function. It's still awesome, but I wish battery life estimates didn't assume you were simply using your phone as a battery draining device.
  8. I love my S4 and will be getting an S6 when it comes out, unless the Droid Turbo and/or Nexus 6 turn out to be amazing. I swore after the disaster that was the Droid Bionic that I'd never again buy another fucking Motorola product though. I know, that whole fiasco was due mostly to the chaos of Google taking over Moto, but still, it was tough to be the one dingus running Gingerbread while everyone else was on ICS, on a previous gen flagship phone no less. Then when I finally got ICS, Jelly Bean was right around the corner for everyone but me. TL;DR Hate Moto but might come back for the right phone. Love Samsung though.
  9. Charger is 8AT only  Guy I know took delivery of his Challenger Hellcat on Monday. Black on black.
  10. While I generally disagree with the U.S. stepping in abroad for pretty much any reason, it's become clear that no one else is going to help stop the spread of ebola. The U.S. military is just another way that the U.S. can exercise diplomatic coercion as well as protect U.S. interests abroad. I would argue that this is an attempt to use U.S. military practices to quickly eliminate a future threat to U.S. interests abroad while it's not threatening the U.S. in any politically volatile areas. Imagine what'd happen if ebola spread to Israel. Or Turkey. Or Pakistan. The U.S. would have a bit more of a conundrum on their hands in the way of providing assistance should a mass outbreak carry beyond current regions. It's a ugly situation with an ugly array of ugly solutions. No one likes pulling out the rifle and taking 'Yeller out back, but sometimes it's what ya gotta do.
  11. Go to GP Karting and tell me that shit's not fun.
  12. Car's a bigger vehicle, bigger motor, bigger challenge. This is just stupid simple fun. It's like asking why would you go karting when you can take your car to Mid-Ohio or Auto-X. Cuz it's stupid fun, that's why.
  13. Anyone claiming that wouldn't be fun is a fucking moron.
  14. OYO and Watershed are decent but I think they need to age more. Not Bourbon but I've recently bought a couple bottles of Portside Distillery rums (Cleveland distiller). Really good shit. I have a 1st batch bottle of their Hops-Infused Rum that I don't want to open in case they hit it big and it becomes a commodity.
  15. Whatever brewer's seasonal porter I find the most delicious. This year I'm really digging Zauber Brewing Co's Portergeist
  16. How I imagine DJ dresses now: http://www.juanofwords.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Botas-Picudas.jpg
  17. That was one of the best sellers we had at the store. Very good IMO.
  18. Necktie with a baller knot, like the Merovingian Knot http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/236x/8d/38/d3/8d38d3f839ef8c629500af01c3d2321e.jpg
  19. When I worked at the liquor store in Boston I was allowed to try a sip from a $10k bottle of 1948 Armagnac (not sure brand) and...yeah it was good but the only reason you'd ever buy it is to tell people you have a $10k bottle of Armagnac. It wasn't THAT good.
  20. Famega is the same type of wine, yeah. I've never had it so I can't say they taste the same but most Vinho Verdes do taste very similar.
  21. I grew up in a Portuguese family. You want to sample the best Portugal has to offer IMO? Skip the Port wines. Go to Trader Joe's and pick up a bottle of Espiral Vinho Verde. It used to be $3/bottle, though it's occasionally more now (maybe up to $5). It's a light, tart, lightly carbonated green (technically white) wine that pairs perfectly with BBQ fish and meats. It's very refreshing on a hot summer day. And no one in their right mind will ever claim that they'd rather have a $50 Bordeaux instead, unless they look down their nose so far that they wouldn't notice if it was shoved up their own ass.
  22. And yet I'd venture a guess that 50% of the people who buy it couldn't tell the difference between that and Jack Daniels in a blind test. Working in a wine/beer/liquor store taught me many things, but the main thing is that people tend to taste with their wallet rather than their palate.
