  1. I just played them a week and a half ago! Took a shootout to do it, but we won. They're a fun team to play against, there's definitely some teams that are super serious but those guys (and gal i think) were a hoot. This is probably the most off topic FS thread ever.
  2. Columbusrollerhockey.com for inline hockey. My team just left this league b/c we wanted to get into ice hockey, but I'm still friends with a lot of people in the E league and I still play Sunday morning ball hockey at the same facility. if you don't mind playing in a run down warehouse full of asbestos and lead pipes, it's great exercise.
  3. I'm hoping to get up to your league soon, my team's goalie plays Sunday D league. not sure what his team is though.
  4. :lolguy: you ain't lying, if not cared for properly this stuff gets stanky. just cleaned my gear bag and it was awful
  5. I'm too fucking lazy to make one, but cue the Xzibit meme with fucking air vents.
  6. @ Coexist bumper sticker. Gotta leave that on there.
  7. Chiller Monday E League, team name is Chili Dogs. We're not very good, I've only just gotten back into hockey of any kind after a 17 year absence. Played street/roller growing up til I was about 10, got into a roller league last year and finally completed a life goal in transitioning to ice hockey this session. To anyone with any curiosity/interest, I can't encourage you enough. I know you play, verse, but this is more of a call to anyone who's just thinking about it. get on the message boards, get on a team, and get into it. i've played and reffed a LOT of intramural/rec sports and hockey is by far the best team environment I've been in.
  8. Definitely will do. All I've got right now is 2xl Tron hockey shoulder pads that are super cheap, used for 2 games) and a Tron inline hockey girdle that i decided not to wear. transitioned to ice hockey so I have no need for it. $20 for both. Out of curiousity, was that Bandito stick a normal length or like 63" when you got it? I typically play with a 61" stick, and I know some Warrior sticks come in 63"
  9. Not to jump in on your sale thread, and I'll s9ecifically note that none of my items conflict with yours, but if someone buying this is looking to get into hockey I have some additional equipment I could sell to help complete a set. PM me, or have this post removed if it's against the rules.
  10. I love mid-century Chebby trucks. Miss my '59. GLWS
  11. Actually my best investment to date has been guns. Buy 2 years into election cycle, sell as soon as Democrat gets elected, 200% ROI :gabe: Realistically though I'm pretty terrible at saving so I just ask my dad what long-term investments are a good idea and do what he says.
  12. :lolguy::lolguy::lolguy:
  13. I usually end up paying ~$500 due to a large portion of 1099 earnings. THANKS FOR THE INTEREST FREE LOAN, OBAMA
  14. It's all vaporware until it happens, but it still makes me happy in the right places.
  15. You're winning at taxes. If you're getting money back, congrats on calling in the interest-free loan you just gave the government :dumb:
  16. We had an 04 AT on our lot a couple years ago. Sent it to Byers to have it checked out, make sure everything was on the up-and-up, came back with a clean bill of health. Someone sold it and later that day the transmission ate itself. Not sure the exact cause or whatever, but fortunately we had put a warranty on it instead of being as-is, as a result the customer was NOT on the hook for a $3500 transmission repair.
  17. If you're at all familiar with the 2-left turn lanes from Brice Rd N to 70W, you'll understand the terror I witnessed when a semi was making the left turn and someone going south on Brice was just a hair too far beyond the line. The entire length of the semi trailer's snowpile went sliding off right onto their hood. I was right behind and didn't see if there was any damage beyond the probable brown stain on the driver's seat, but that's the kind of shit that scares me.
  18. IIRC you're the guy that visits VT, aren't you? I'm pretty sure all New England states have laws about cleaning all "loose" snow off cars, including roofs, to prevent dangerous road conditions. I wish it was a law applied to all snowy weather states.
  19. I owed my manager an extra couple hours (left a few hours early last week) so I told him I'd come in early today. Fucking great planning. For those of you who don't clean off the top of your cars, I'm glad you feel your vanity is worth everyone else's safety. You're basically the Kardashians of the road, and I hope you get railroaded by as many large black dicks as they do. :dumb:
  20. Is baby daddy a parolee or has he completely served his time and is considered a free man? If he's on parole and doing drugs, call his PO and get him popped and back in prison. You can try to be involved as possible in the upbringing of the kid. Sadly, as someone else said, you can't just take kids away because people are monumentally stupid and irresponsible. You need a pattern of stupidity and irresponsibility that you can prove.
  21. Still have Drive Club for sale/trade, no longer need in FC4 (thanks J.R.) but would trade for AC:U on PS4
  22. I would never buy a warranty that didn't have a brick-and-mortar store or factory standing behind it. I work in the car business and I can't tell you how many people have gone through hell trying to get a shitty 3rd party warranty they bought at Bob's Sketchy Auto Sales (or whatever) to honor a claim. We sell 2 types of warranties here; 1 backed by FCA (FIAT Chrysler Automobiles) and 1 backed by Ford ESP, and the latter only because my F&I manager worked for Ford for 13 years and developed some good relationships that allow us to get competitive prices. Pro tips: if the place you're buying from doesn't offer a reliable warranty, don't buy from that place. if the car you're trying to buy doesn't qualify for a reliable warranty, don't buy that car. The reason you can't get a good warranty from that place or on that car is because reliable warranty underwriters believe the risk is too high, and so should you.
  23. Wow looks like Barrett-Jackson might throw you a bone! http://www.autofocus.ca/news-events/news/bottom-dollar-the-25-least-expensive-cars-at-barrett-jackson Scroll through the pics and you'll see a 1966 T-Bird hardtop sold for $7370. Not sure how it compares to yours, but now you know what a similar car will go for at B-J auction!
  24. I don't know of any beyond the mega names like Barrett-Jackson, Mecum, RM, etc. Another thought would be that if it doesn't sell by then, take it to the Good Guys auto show. Where better than among hundreds/thousands of classic car enthusiasts who know a thing or two about restoration to try and sell?
