    DAMN IT!!!

Double and triple check the firing order, I don't care if you are POSITIVE that its correct....CHECK IT AGAIN. How did you set the lash on the rockers? could they be holding the valves open? (did you torque them to 20ft/lbs slowly on the base circle with less then a full turn of the wrench?) Have you timed it with a timing light? try to. What kind of vacuum is it pulling? Did you have the cam out as well, or did you not touch the short block?
  3. Its a brand new greddy turbo kit. I told him its prolly plugs...
  4. I need to hook his AF gage up for him acctualy... the TPS seonsor is kinda crushed (the connector) but it worked fine for weeks...maybe I'll swap throttle bodies and see if that fixes it.
  5. I cant figure this out...a turbo civic i built (stock SOHC vtec 1.6 with a turbo and intercooler @6psi) has picked up a hesiotation, below 3k if you go to WOT it doesnt move, it like jerks a little, then slowlyaccelerates, as soon as it hits like 3k-3500 it takes off like normal... I was thinking normal tune up stuff? maybe the Vtec solenoid is sticking?
  6. you have to heat the CRAP out of nittos (like 30 second style burnouts...lol) to get them to hook... I like BFG's i cut 1.8 60's on mine, after a decent 10 second or so burnout...when they get bald they HOOK.
  7. If its a flexplate, I bet the converter isnt seated and it won't let the engine turn over...
  8. What about the bearing retainer on the tranny? was it grooved at all?
  9. cool, I just wanted to verify it, thanks
  10. I am doing an engine swap for a friend, he has a SOHC v-tech engine, and it putting the same thing in it, but newer with a greddy turbo... The only thing i am unsure of is, the car is a 5 speed, but the engine is from an automatic....are they the same engines? not sure if one is balanced different or somthing... also...are you supopost to use any type of sealer on the banjo bolt that goes on the turbo for the oil feed?
